we have just come back from this hotel and would advise those with young children to beware as directltly opposite to the entrance of this hotel are 2 others and the VERY loud tub thumping dance music goes on until 2am and once 3 am !!! Not good when you are trying to sleep at any age.Even when windows are closed it is still ridiculous. The hotel itself is good although it could do with a refurb in the lunch dining area. The main restaurant is excellent as is the food.Pool is smaller than it looks but is ok.Go on the Black Pearl Boat as it is fantastic also red bus tour well worth it.I will not be returning to this hotel as i value my sleep !!!!
- Advice: take ear plugs

Cyprus is a wonderful country to visit, you will find the people friendly There is lots to see, too many to mention. The Hotel Anastasia is excelent the staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is very varied with a good mix of ethnic and europian fare. The restaurant manager Kerie is extremly helpful and will try to assist you in any way,as is the head waiter Bambos and all the waiting staff.Through the day you can relax by the pool or on the verander and watch the day go by if you wantor you can join in with Emma or Ramsey in the pool for water aerobics(which is very entertaining)or there is water polo and other things to do.You will be served hot and cold drinks and food if you like by very excellent waiting staff. The entertaiment Manager Zeco and all his staff are wonderful very entertaining. Great shows, too much to go into detail, but very very enjoyable. We were entertaind through the day and at night. We were all inclusive and stayed two weeks and were extremly spoilt. This was my first holiday to the Anastasia but my fellow companions had been five or six times before and we would recommend this Hotel to everyone without any hesitation.Thankyou to all that work at the Anastasia for a brilliant holiday. We are planning to come back in 2011.
- Advice: Brilliant some of our company have already booked for 20011

Twelve of us have just returned home from a two week fantastic holiday at the Ausonia Standard Apartments which were spacious and clean. After having read the previous reviews we were nervous (although we stayed here two years ago) and everything was perfect - makes you wonder what people want from a four star hotel. Can't fault anything, room perfect, hotel and surroundings perfect, the pool area and all inclusive spot on with lots of sunbeds. Lots of lovely beaches to the left and right of the hotel and wonderful pedestrianised walk straight into Protaras. The food in the hotel was perfect, probably suited 10 out of 12 of us, as couple were fussy eaters! Lots of lovely greek food on offer. Thanks to Pambos the Hotel Manager for being so kind to our entire family during our stay. The One Stop Entertainment Team did a good job entertaining during the day time around the pool - but more professional shows are needed in the evening although they did their best! Highly recommend the open top red bus tour outside the hotel around Famagusta only 15 euros. Also used the car hire opposite main entrance of the Anastasia - only 46 euros for two days. Nissi Beach and Fig Tree Bay a must (who needs the Carribean)

We have just returned from our holiday at the anastasia in protaras cyprus. I have to say we stayed in the apartments as there were four of us and that is pretty basic but ok. The hotel itself was excellent clean and tidy. We stayed all inclusive which was well worth it. The food was of high standard and plenty of choice. The waiters would remove your dish as soon as it was empty which was a bit of a pain as we did feel a bit rushed. The hotel is 15-20 mins walk into protaras main town but it's a nice walk along the coast front we didn't need to go in to protaras of a night as the hotel entertainment was excellent, even thou its only just the start of the season they were brilliant. Mini disco for the kids every night and lots of differant shows. They made our holiday and from the first night we were there they remembered us and our kids and by the end of the week we felt like we had known them forever. I would definatekly recommend this hotel for young familys and couples. It has been the only holiday in a very long time where we did not want to come home. We will be returning to this hotel again as we had the time of our lives.Word of warning we went on a jeep safari trip to the troodos mountains we paid nearly £300 for 4 of us ans even thou i definately recommend the trip itself do be careful when going with your tour operator as they cramed 9 of us into a jeep which goes off road very bumpy and felt quite ill at times.
- Activities: The trip to troodos mountains was excellent for views just be careful who you go with.

we had 2 weeks at anastasia, we stayed in a superior appartment which is in a seperate building from the main hotel but overlooking the pool and the sea.
i couldnt fault the cleanliness of the accomodation, the cleaning staff were out at 7 am, cleaning round the pool and the bar area, the pool guy hoovered the pool every morning!!!!
the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh bed linen and towels every 2 days or daily if requested.
the resteraunt staff were superb, as soon as your plate was empty, it was taken away!
the menu was varied, some things were the same daily but these were mainly childrens dishes, the best bit for me was doughnuts for breakfast!!!
scuba diving trainers come round the pool daily touting for business by offering free tryouts in the pool, i had a go and was hooked, i spent a lot of time following this swimming with the fish in the sea!!(i even encountered a barracuda face to face)
the entertainment staff were fab, myself and my wife still keep in touch via t'internet with about 5 of them!!!!
the only thing that let the hotel down were the evening bar staff, serving you a drink seemed to be a chore!!
the all inclusive free bar ended at 11pm but the bar was open until 12 or 1am, certain bar staff were trying to chase us at 11:20 one evening, the following morning i complained directly to the hotel manager, the next and subsiquent evenings service towards me was 1st class!!!
(wonder why???)
overall we had a fantastic holiday, made lots of friends there, its a bit better than butlins as people seem to compare it to, and no chavs!!!(that has got to be a plus!!)
be prepared to mingle with people from other european countries and this is not a brit only hotel, but everyone was really friendly!!
one last thing!!!!
dont visit the weekend they celebrate the cypriot flood festival (pentacost), the hotel is swarmed by ignorant posh rich cypriots from the cities who seem to think they are more important than you and treat the staff like slaves!!

I recently when on holiday to the Anastasia Beach Apartment Cyprus. We were put in the apartment formerly known as The Ausonia Apartments. VERY STANDARD. Apartments face a Bar called the station bar which it is extremely noisy. Both my children suffered from ear infection due to the hygiene from the pools. My daughter ended up in hospital because of the sever infection. Then we have been informing the reception that there were problems with the bathroom ie toilet to be told that it was fine. No it was not fine 3 days later our apartment was flooded with raw sewage. Sewage was pouring out everywhere even into the foyer.
Since our return i have made a complaint to Thomas Cook and the Hotel and the reply was my children were the cause of their ear infection due to their personal hygiene and my family had caused the flooding of the sewage due to our personel hygiene
PLEASE THINK VERY SERIOUS BEFORE BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL OR WITH THOMAS COOK

We had a fabulous time. We stayed in the apartments which really are metres away from the main hotel where you have all your meals. The waterpark is below the apartments so no problem getting a sunbed. The waterpark is plenty big enough to keep you amused. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel. The beach with a small cove is shallow, clean and very warm. The boat trips and water sports are cheap and well organised. These can be found along the walk way along the beach and are very reasonable. The bus to Ayia Napa is 1 Euro each way and is ideal to visit Nissi Bay. Fig Tree Bay at the far end of the walk way from the Anastasia Apartments is the most beautiful beach around and a must see. We had a great time and would consider going back for sure. The Station Pub opposite is 'very load' but not unbearable unless you have younger children I guess. we sat on the balcony until the early hours listening to various acts and karaoke evenings.
