More Traveller Reviews of Central Park Hotel
Prisoner of war camp

Well i am not sure were to start.I have read the reviews regarding stop moaning but i can not stress enough that this place is the pits. I visited ibza for the first time this year with three girlies.we were set to party and looking forward to a week of partying. The hotel review said noisy which was why we booked it. firstly and most disturbing was the behaviour of the security guards. On several occasions he would be found watching us from another room.he would be seen stood outside our door.He visited the room several times to ask us to turn the music down at midnight or we would be thrown out.Hmmm not quite sure why when the appartments accross the way had music loud until 6am. Thankfully there was a nice group from manchester to have a natter to ,the security seemed to resent this and appeared if the boys came to our room for a drink. one particular night the boys came for a social drink early evening,no music and we turned the lights out not to be seen.next thing a huge man came with the security bloke with a huge stick .No messing with them it was scary.not sure why they thought they had the right to treat us like this. very threatened ,controlling environment.people without problems must be lucky.I wouldn,t let the fleas stay here. Think the staff wanted a job in tenko! Sam lancs
Whats the problem??

I honestly do not know what people are moaning at. Either when i went it was a very lucky week..... Or these other people were expecting a Hilton hotel. Yes it is basic, but look at the price, there were 4 of us in a room, and there were enough cutlery etc for us all to eat and drink. It was clean. It was annoying having to show your card on the first few occasions, but we showed it twice in a week....not a big deal. During the day we spent a lot of the time round the pool, which was ok. It could be deeper (but i have been to a lot of hotels in San An, where they didnt have a pool). The woman behind the bar up there was nt the friendliest, but thats not going to ruin your holiday. It is close to everywhere you will need to go in San An. 5 mins from Bar M, 10 from Kanya, and other sunset bars. If you really must go to the west end its 2 mins. I would stay there again, if the price was still around the same area.
A good base for getting out and about

Make no mistake these apartments are basic, but that will probably be reflectd in the price you pay for your holiday. Our room was nic and clean with 2 twin beds and a seperate kitchen living room area. We were given a welcome pack on arrival with some bread and milk etc. There is a bar down stairs with a pool table, yes it is small but we only used it as a meeting point while waiting for everyone to get ready. Let face it you don't go to Ibiza to sit in your hotel bar, you want to get out and about. The location is great, your within a ten minute walk to the beach, shops and bars. I would not recommend it for families with small children or people wanting a quiet holiday as there are several large clubs very near by and the music can be heard till the early hours. All in all i liked the place. I only used it as a base and didn;t really spend a lot of time i in the apartment as i was out all day then only home to get changed to got out at night. I have stayed in worse places that i paid more money for!!!
stop moaning!!

i read the reviews of the hotel before we went last month and it didnt sound great! There were four of us girls in one room, and yeah it was basic..but we were in ibiza and if u paid anywhere near what we paid then u cant really be expecting to be living in the land of luxury can u??!! The rooms do get hot, but you go knowing theres no air-con and your in a hot country so doesnt take a genius to work out its gonna get a bit hot in there! The location is great can get to the bars in a few mins and then the beach in the day time to sleep it off....who wants to sleep in a hotel in ibiza anyway??!! we didnt have a problem with any of the staff, yeah u have to show your card to get in but past the first couple of times once they recognise your face they stop asking so its not to bad. The pool is alrite for what it is, we sat up there a few days and it was fine! had a fantastic time in ibiza, cant wait to go back next year and i wouldnt mind going back to central park....just might hire a fan next time!!!
DO NOT GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
from wally1985
If you are planning on going to ibiza for the time of your life do not go here, I was in a group of 14 lads which were all set and ready to have a good time in ibiza, i have been ibiza 3 times now and have never stayed in a hotel like this one, theres a few things wrong with it, its got to be the hottest hotel on the island and you can only rent 1 fan per room! its full of scottish! just cant get away from them, its noisy 24/7 you cant get any sleep and im up for a good laff and partying all the time but this takes it well over the top, the hotel staff are the worst staff you will come accross we got threatened to be kicked out everyday we were there because they said we were being too noisy even thoe we were probably the queitest ones there, we had to pay 80 euros for a mark on the wall that was there when we got there and they threatened us with the police being notified and we would be stopped at the airport, within 5 mins of some girls getting there they all had to pay 50 euros deposit each and the hotel staff said if they are quiet they will get it back, it was a joke, there was a guy with a pony tail there he is the biggest [--] there is, also on the first day they give you a card to keep on you at all times unless you cant get in the hotel, but after a day in the pool and at the beach and bars, when the card goes missing and you go back to the hotel they wont let you in, which then they say well they want your passport as proof, but who carrys there passport around? then when you tell them its in your room they still dont let you in so basically you cant get in the hotel again, i ended up just walkin past them and ignoring them, then getting pulled by security which i had a full blown out argument with so they just made every min of the hol a nightmare my advice is to go piscis park accross the road i have stayed here before and it was really good! avoid the central park at all costs even if your scottish!
Very Basic
from Easilyburnt
We stayed at this hotel in August 2008 and were a group of 30 year old ladies there for a long weekend. Now I knew this hotel would be pretty basic but I didn't realise how hard I would find it. The staff were rude and unhelpful from the moment we got there (infact the Spanish rudness started from the minute we landed at the airport and then the coach taking us to this hotel crashed into a bike after he had missed our hotel completely). The room was large but basic. There was a very small (not enough room to even stand) balcony overlooking an area where bikes were parked so very loud every morning. There wasn't any air-con which was unbearable. The fridge hardly worked at all and leaked all over the floor on our last day. The bathroom was large but very hot as no windows and the shower was so old, it must have been the original when the hotel was built plus it had a mouldy shower curtain. We were given stained white towels on arrival and they had to last the whole 3 days we were there. The 2nd worse thing (1st being no air-con) was the noise. The walls must have been paper thin as you can hear every bit of noise possible which is not good when you have people of all ages coming and going all through the night and day. We only went to the pools on the roof once for about 10mins as the beach opposite was better (apart from the sand being rock solid). The best thing about this hotel was its location - right near all the main clubs, restaurants etc so that was good. Overall, ok but wouldn't go back!!
Terrible!
from johnsy37
We have just returned from a short four day break in ibiza, where we had the misfortune of staying in Central Park apartments, they are dreadful, now we knew in july it would be hot but never could you realise how hot a room WITHOUT aircon can get, they try and insult you even more by offering you the hire of fans at a cost of 3 euros a day but all that does is fire hot air around and to make matters worse they only have 15 in total!. The rest of the room is very basic, rock hard beds and a fridge that didnt work,a shower out the dark ages!. It gets worse, the staff are very anti-english,the swimming pool is basic and the bar area is run by two 16 year old spanish girls who also hate the english and will treat you in the same manner, only plays spanish music, dosnt serve certain sandwiches or coffee because the machines are broken! The location is great but thats all i can say to big up this hotel. I recommend you dont stay here, unless the whole island hotels are full and i wouldnt even then!!!!.The average age of the holidaymakers in the hotel is 22 but thats a bonus,at least they have fun, when the hotel was so poor and dismal. Tour operators need to check this hotel out because its not honest on its website....Happy Holidays!!
DONT GO..!!!

You Get What You Pay For.
from XANDER007
The central park apartments are fine if all you need from your accommodation is a place to sleep (or at least try to sleep!). Our room was the definition of basic, which is just what we wanted, no frills, after all we went for the sun and the fun not to sit in an apartment! Only problem we had with the room was the shower head didn't sit in its holder properly, spraying water everywhere if you didn't hold it and the shower curtain was too short! water all over the floor if you weren't careful. We also had a few ants from time to time but not too many. The central park apartments are NOT for the elderly or families with young kids, but they are cheap. Right next to the central park are clubs Eden and Es Paradis and Bar M is only a 2 minute walk away so the location is ideal if you are going for the music.
Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!
from BevDixon
I just got back from a group booking to this hotel and it was awful. The pictures connected shown, don't seem to be of this hotel at all! The hotel was tired run down and horrible. The rooms had no air conditioning and myself and 3 others were squeezed into a room that was clearly meant for no more than 4 people. Our toilet was leaking and when we reported it to reception we were told it was impossible for a toilet to leak! The maintenance guy actually got the shower head and srayed it on the floor and said 'this is what you are doing, this is why the floor is wet!!!' when there was blatently water coming from the toilet. It was disgusting, disgusting, disguisting! I don't know where they have got the pictures of the pool from as the pool was on the roof and was dirty and has smelly carpet type flooring around the pool. I will never go back to this hotel, no matter how close it is to the beach!
If you're going out to make the most of everything Ibiza has to offer, then the Central Park apartments are perfect for you. We booked them online literally a few weeks before going out, so were a bit apprehensive as to what they would be like. However, we were pleasantly... more
