Cheap and Cheerful

If you're going out to make the most of everything Ibiza has to offer, then the Central Park apartments are perfect for you. We booked them online literally a few weeks before going out, so were a bit apprehensive as to what they would be like. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for and the apartment was basic but there was nothing we could complain about. They don't have air con in the rooms which is probably a lot harder to deal with around july/august but we were out the first week of september and you can rent fans from reception so we didn't find it that hard to deal with. The rooms are clean and the balcony is a good size. The overall atmosphere is great....the pool is on the rooftop and has the music going all day long. There's also a bar by the pool where you can get snacks e.g pizza and of course, plenty of alcohol and the the barmen are great! It's an ideal location, you're just behind the egg roundabout and the beach is literally across the road. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone who wants a low cost holiday but also to be staying somewhere that is decent enough if you need to take a break from the craziness of the white island!

ibiza has some bad hotels but this is the worst!!

Sep 2010, traveller

I got back from ibiza early this morning and was actually happy to be home because i knew i could sleep in my own room with out the fear of someone breaking in or banging the door down. fair anuff your in ibiza but there are some things you just dont do in a hotel that familys stay in aswell! just coming in or out of the hotel you risked someone from the balconys throwing bottles or shoes etc down at you! there was rubbish everywhere you could of thrown a dead body over the balcony and no one would over cared!! the rooms were all brown with a little kitchen and dirty(we saw maids but they were never cleaning the rooms) the water was always going off and wasnt much when it was on. on a night it sounded like the bath room roof was going to collapse from a heavy water leak, balconeys were tiny and they were all facing each other so no privacy at all and people were always out on theres screaming and shouting. worst hotel ive stayed at we ending up booking the hotel next door (the marco polo hotel)and the rooms there were worse but cost more!!

Robbed with no forced entry

I needed a long holiday after staying in this place made me sick 2 my stomach. It is run by assholes with teeth. We went in 2001 and had our rooms turned over, robbed with no sign of forced entry. I was very annoyed to read a review on here from 2008 where they were robbed here with no sign of a break in. So they still at it then? The swiming pool bar on the roof had broken glass condoms and fag butts init and they played the same 3 songs all day. We paid for 2 four man rooms and got 2 single beds in each? When i went onto the balcony I saw the iron railing was loosly tied on one end with a piece of rope as it had come away from wall fixin which was a death trap. Of corse we complained about this but were met with pure aggression and threats. I found the staff in just about all the places to be rude and unhelpful. The food made me ill everytime I ate it for 2 weeks and all my friends even burger king was servng pink meat. The bars put ice in drinks made out of ditch water there were open sewers so the place stunk. Even in 2001 was £8 for a shot and £4 for a water so h8 2 think now. Avoid the whole place its glory days r long gone especially central park which I seriously doubt was ever a nice place to stay. Was through Thomson but dont even get me started on them lets just say i will never use them again.

I thought this was a great place to stay. Really enjoyed it. We were there for a hen weekend and it was ideal.
Why someone would take their family there i will never know. No its not good for families but for groups of party animals very ideal.
Only thing is.......a fan is needed, the rooms are very warm.
Would book again in a shot, very central!!

The Worst Hole Ever

Honestly.. I really couldnt believe I put my family through what I did for a week.
It was beyond a joke. It was so bad, it became funny.
On arrival, the receptionist looked "taken aback" to see a family checking in. As we were handed our keys, we bumped into another guest who has also written a review here.. She was trying to tell the reception staff that her room had been stolen from again. "Not interested" was the attitude from the staff. Almost an "igonre it, and it will go away". attitude.
When we found our room, first impressions were that the photographer deserved an award. The second was "o well".
After unpacking, we decided to "go explore". Once we cleared the hotel grounds (which has to be said were really, really filthy with broken glass, vomit, and urine stains all over the floor), the area was really nice. Nice shops, little super markets, and a smashing coffee bar on the corner. The waitress looked really puzzled when we told her where we were staying, almost as if we were "pulling her leg".
Back to the hotel. The heat was one thing, but then you expect it to a degree. There were several bottles or glasses thrown from the balcony every night into the walkway beneath. After a good night out with my family, you honestly had to watch for items being thrown at, or into your path. Twice we had glass land near to us. My children were 5 and 9 years old at the time.. Quite frightening for them, especially when the 9 year old is old enough to understand some of the things that were being shouted between rooms or to women that were foolish enough to walk past the hotel.
The matresses were heavily stained with god only knows what. Each matress had 4 or more 6 inch holes in. One of my Daughters managed to lose a toy down the back of her bed. We moved it to retrieve said toy, and was suprised to not only see black mold growing up the wall, but it had spread to her matress too. After another night of the same, we phoned Late Great Deals who the holiday was booked through and told them that the hotel was not safe for children. They told us they knew this, and we had checked the web page, we would have also been aware. My jaw dropped. We looked at our printout we made at the time of booking "ideal for young families" clear as day. Checked on the internet and the whole site had been changed. It now read "NOT recommended for children". We called back and told them that the site has clearly been changed. This they denied even though we had a printout with the web address infront of us. Our printout also displays the hotel in a completely different light. After several further phone calls to "Late Great" informing them that "someone is going to get seriously hurt" they agreed to move my family at the cost of 800 euros extra for second week, and suggested that maybe we were exagerating.
We were stuck. That night, there were several bad screams from our floor. I got dressed, and went to look. Our door had two bloody handprints on it. The floor had masses of blood all over it, and the smell was terrible. I followed the trail for almost the full length of the floor.. If you have stayed here, you will know how long the floor is. One of the staff told me that the "idiot" had been taken to hospital. This was 3.30 - 4am. The carnage wasn't cleaned up for several hours.. Obviously we had to stay in our room, due to the children.
We went to the reception and told her we were leaving as soon as we found another hotel. She told us that she understood, and couldn't understand how an operator would book us into their hotel. She went onto say that it was only the English that caused the trouble in their hotel.
After several phonecalls to "Late Great" they informed us that they booked our holiday through Travel Republic and it was nothing to do with them. We contacted Travel Republic who denied that the web page had been changed and told us that there was no point sending a copy to them because they knew it hadn't been changed (pc cache files beg to differ).
We contacted ABTA for the first time. Travel republic refused to talk to ABTA. ABTA then said we would have to go to court to take this any further..
The week before we arrived someone was found dead in the pool area. Someone had jumped from their room to the floor below (long way down), and then all of this.
We have stayed in some cheap joints in our time 18-30 hotels are our favourites, because they are so much fun. This was on a different level. The place is simply dangerous. We went to Ibiza with my Mother and Father in law, and a family friend who were booked into a cheaper hotel in the town centre. They did very, very well. There hotel turned out to be lovely. Just proves that just because its cheap doesn't mean it's bad
Hotel aside though, Ibiza was a great place. Obviously, we didn't visit the clubs, but did go to the town on an evening. The kids were made to feel great and until we changed hotels, didnt want to go home..
I took no end of video and photographs of just how poor this hotel really was just in case any of my claims need to be upheld.

This is the worst possible place you...
1 / 10
Aug 2008, Miss R Rowledge

This is the worst possible place you can stay if you go for a wicked holiday in Ibiza. There was four of us all girls. We were ROBBED twice, with no force entry to the room on both occasions. We left our key behind reception ( which they advise you to do everyday) For 45 mins. When we returned to the room all our English money and Euros had been stolen out of our safe. We had the key on us at all times. When we went down to the reception the lady laughed and joked with her mates. When asked to ring the police as this was the second occasion that we had been robbed she told us that the police would not come out to the hotel. The next day we went to the police station and the officer on duty explained to us that this happens all the time at Central Park. After speaking to some other people at the appartments we realised that it was not only us who had been victims but there was a number of rooms robbed of the same things over our 2 week stay.
On our last nite we camre home to pools of blood all over the reception area following up 2 flights of stairs this wasn't cleaned up for 5 hours afer the insident happened. The hall ways stank of dry blood it smelt like a butchers and looked like a murder scene. We are all aged 23_24 and had an amazing time in Ibiza but when asked if we had a good holiday the answer is that we were robbed twice. All i can say to you is if you are thinking of staying here plaese don't it will be the biggest mistake you could make. The staff are rude and would rarther buy clothes on the internet than help you in anyway. Also you will have to wait in the tiny lobby before you go in your room 6 hours after you were suppose to be in there. Please take our advise and don't stay in these appartments.

If any groups are planning a holiday...

If any groups are planning a holiday to San Antonio this is a great place to stay. I wouldn't recommend it as a couples or family’s location as it can be noisy and lively. But if that’s what you're looking for its amazing.
The rooms sleep four comfortably. There are fridges available in the room. Spacious balconies, not great views but only 50m away from beach. Only problem being there is no air conditioning but the balcony is quite cool. There are safes available in the rooms which are ideal. The pool on the roof is not massive but it's big enough to relax by. There is a reasonably priced bar on the roof serving food and drinks. There is a bar downstairs with outdoor pool tables. The rooms are cleaned regularly by maids who provide fresh sheets and towels.
The hotel is in a fantastic location for the great restaurants and a stones throw away from the fantastic west end. Eden and Es Paradis lie alongside the hotel but you don't get any noise coming from there.
I would strongly recommend this hotel for any groups looking at visiting San Antonio.
Will definitely be re-visiting next year.
