On arrival at the hotel early morning we were put in a terrible room that stank of vomit and had no self catering facilities,ie cutlery, even basic kettle. After complaining the following morning we were put in a sea view room. Apart from the terrible noise from other guests in the hotel, drug dealers knocking on your door to offer drugs, having to ask for clean towels and our room not being cleaned for 6 days with no change of bedsheets, it wasn't too bad! Location was good on the sunset strip and watching sunset every night was a bonus. Hotel receptionists didn't speak much English but were helpful. Fair to say we will not be going back.

Good price, good location. The apartments are really good value for money. Its fairly clean and really comfortable! The cleaner came to our room every day and changed towels/sheets as and when we requested! We knew there was no pool but there is plenty of choice... the hotel is situated only a few steps from cafe savannah so literally walk out the front door and your on the sea front. Strongly recommend hotel Catalina!

I´d loved the Hotel Catalina. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms very clean/cleaning was perfect. Good localization, close to the beach and the pool was very nice too. Amazing view of sunset.
I am recomending to all my friends, and if I could, I would like to go back to the hotel Catalina every summer. Thanks!!

Hotel Catalina was what I expected for the price and maybe a little more! Room was very spacious, had cooking facilities, fridge, kettle, phone, air con. Maids were polite, were there every day and done a good job. Hotel staff didn't speak very good english thou!! I was disappointed that my room was located at the back so we didn't have the promied sea view which I think would have made a HUGE difference!! Its situated a stones throw from cafe mambo cafe del mar and Savannah ideal for the fantastic sunsets that Ibiza is famous 4!!!and not far from the west end! I would have preferred 2 have a swimming pool and bar but there were plenty of bars right on the door step as well as the sea!!
I heard that some people had been robbed while we were there but luckily all our stuff was fine.
Overall I would defo return 2 Catalina roll on IBIZA 2008!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

I actually liked this hotel. was quiet-ish (i say ish, i was the drunk one making the noise!!) only complaint was when i lost my purse and it was handed in to the hotel minus the money!! not the hotels fault though!!! Was a great distance from the centre of san an. only complaint was the amount of work being done at the time i was there.

Completely agree with the other reviews, regarding where the apartment was situated etc. I couldn't of asked for a better area when accessing bars, shops, clubs and so on.
Apartments where clean and spacious, maids were friendly and done a great job. Staff on the other hand not so much! Not helpful in the slightest, especially if your robbed! Which I was, and many others as I learned! If I believed my situation was a one off I more than likely would have not written this review, but I feel I should share that the Catalina Apartments has a reputation for property and money being stolen from the guests.
Aside from having my belongings stolen, by an individual who entered my apartment via a key! I had an excellent time, Ibiza has definitely not lost its appeal and I would recommend it to anyone, just not to stay in the Catalina!

Well we paid a lot of money to stay at the Catalina, when we arrived early in the morning we had a group booking for 5 people, 2 were a couple so we were supposed to have 2 rooms. We arrived and was told we only had 1 room for all of us. It was a good job our friends had booked up in the same hotel so the couple had rooms to stay in for the time being until 12pm the next day when the other people left for home. The next day the people at reception claimed not to speak English so we had to protest for a room, we finally got a room.
When we were in our room the air conditioning did not work and was dripping water all over the beds, we did complain about this and nothing was done. A few days later our water stopped working we had to use the showers downstairs. The reps were never there as we did not have a pool so when we needed to speak to them they were never there. We go to Ibiza every year and this has to be the worst place we stayed in. If the people that worked there were a bit nicer and tried to help maybe this would have been ok. Everyone who we spoke to in the Catalina had the same problem with the room bookings as well.

Just come back from the Catalina, don’t believe a word people say about these apartments.
I’m a travel agent and went with 2 other travel agents and we had no problems.
The rooms are clean and they have a fantastic location. I would recommend to anyone and will be going back here as soon as possible.

Amazing holiday in total. The only complaint about the hotel is that there is no bar, apart from the nearby bars on the strip (which were closed as out of season).
Room was lovely and clean, with a full sized bath & shower. Cleaners regular. 24 hour reception with very helpful staff.
Had heard a few bad reviews personally before I went so wanted to assure everyone that it honestly is lovely. Try hard to get a sea view room - it really makes all the difference!

I stayed at the catalina 4 a week in july with three of my friends.
Before we went we were terrified what to expect. All i can say is most of the reviews are totally over exagerated. For what you pay the hotel is amazing! Its fairly clean and really comfortable!
Our air con didnt work but who is in their room long enough for that to be a problem...especially in ibiza!
We checked in just fine and as we had to wait a couple of hours were offered the use of storage for our cases and the use of showers and changing rooms...free of charge.
We were made up to see our room had a safe and just paid the 3euros a day for it,
We had no problems atall with hot water! The cleaner came to our room every day and changed towels/sheets as and when we requested!
If you dont lock your door people may just open it and walk in.... but for some reason we didnt mind that! We loved how you knew everyone in the hotel and how you would shout to them from your balcony!
We knew there was no pool but there is plenty of choice...no 1 cares when you go in to use theirs, just an opportunity to meet more people.
The location is incredible and i dont think any other hotel is situated in a better place!!!
Roll on ibiza 2009!!! we will be making a 2 week stay at the catalina for sure!!!
