It is really disappointing to read negative feedback about the Don Toni but unfortunately the same goes for the Fiesta Palm Beach in Ibiza. We have stayed here a number of times including booking ourselves direct as well as through a UK travel company. This year we booked... more

The hotel was not bad however the location was wonderful you can step right on to the beach. It's a great long sandy beach. The resort itself is a bit of a letdown not too many pubs/bars/clubs and by the end of a two week holiday was a little tedious. However Ibiza is a... more

Fab location at Hotel Don Toni
Fab location on the beach of Plays D'en Bossa. Our room overlooked both the beach and pool as requested. The hotel was very clean and the maid service was daily. The food was excellent with different options at the buffet each night. There was also show cooking where you could choose your own steak, fish, lamb, burger etc and tell the chef how you wanted it cooked. We would defintley stay in a Fiesta Hotel again.
Excellent location
The best thing about the Hotel Don Toni is it's location, you only have to go out of the door and you're on the wonderful beach. Getting a sunbed was no problem whatever time you went out. The hotel served the most delicious food and it's definately worth upgrading to all inclusive food/drinks you will save a small fortune. I have no complaints about the hotel or the club whose facilities were shared and would go back here again.
Sen family & friends (50, 32, 18, 18, 15, 15, 15, 11)
We stayed in the Hotel Don Toni for 2 weeks on the all inclusive package. It was great not to have the worry of carrying money around and everyone being able to get a drink when they wanted. Be warned though drinks stop at 1.30 am and as we all know Ibiza has not even started to come alive at this time! The beach location is lovely, the sand is white, the sea is warm and the sun was VERY hot. Unfortunately the hotel is very dated (70's) and in need of decoration throughout. The pool areas were maintained daily and also very busy (the signs for no reserving of sun loungers made no difference - what a surprise!) The buffet meals catered for a wide variety at each sitting with a great omlette chap in the morning, hot bread rolls at lunch and a fresh pasta cook at night - very nice. Overall the teenagers of our party had the "best holiday ever" - HOWEVER, there is nothing really to do at night for the adults. You can only listen to a cheeky piano guy for soooooooooo many nights or watch the hotel entertainment team mime to sooooooooo many west end shows before it becomes boring and unentertaining. Ibiza town is a short bus ride away where things are very different and a lot more expensive. You must go once or twice though during your holiday. Overall the hotel desperately needs modernising, evening entertainment drastically needs improving and then maybe you will have the best of both for adults and children. Our teenagers are already planning to go back, but my partner and I have opted for a 5-star luxury break on our own this October to recover!!
Absolutely Fantastic Holiday
We have just returned from the Hotel Don Toni and what a fantastic holiday we had. We were there between 19/7/06 & 2/8/06 and I wish we were still there!! We stayed in the Hotel and it was always kept clean, the staff in both the Hotel and Club were polite, friendly and always happy to help. We were staying on the 5th floor and had a fab view of the beach, we could also see the waterpark and club "space" behind ,from our balcony. The rooms were cleaned everyday, beds made, bins emptied and towels changed. We paid 36euro for safe for 2wks, which was in the room and a large one too, it was great, In the club though safes are located near reception and are apparently quite small. we made friends who were staying in the club. The food was outstanding, both breakfast and evening meal. Hot food always hot, show cooking excellent, salads and cold meats always fresh and enticing, deserts to die for, you have to try them all...divine!! Resturants always clean, don't take your eyes off your plate if you havn't finished or it will be cleared away, the waiters are so on the ball, excellent. The pools are always kept clean and lifeguards are on duty until around 6pm which is good. I would suggest parents with children who cannot swim to familiarise themselves with the pools as they do gradually go deep, more so with the club pool which does suddenly drop in depth at the end of the bar. the pools are sign posted with depth, but figures in metres do not mean much to younger children, and the club pool is shallow around the edges and deep in the middle, the darker blue tiles show this, but at one point behind the bar it does slope down quite suddenly, and caught my son unawares, in the hotel pool they have a diagram which shows where the pool deepens, I think they should do this on the wall of the pool bar in the club pool. There is a seperate childrens pool in both hotel pool and club pool. And a drinks/food bar next to hotel pool aswell. The entertainment was superb, briiliant team of entertainers, we had Beda, Aitor, Alexis, Sena, Sarah, Michael, Cookie and Lola who were brill, apologies if I have left some one out or spelt names wrong!. The reps go around the club pool through the day asking adults and children to join in with activities such as, aerobics, aqua aerobics, pool, football, water polo, darts, rifle shooting, mini crazy golf, ping pong, volley ball , cocktail games ect. So much to do, or you can just laze around the pool. The evening entertainment starts off with kids disco, then bingo, games, presentations of certificates for the winners of the day time activites, then the musicals ect come on at 10pm, which were fantastic the fiesta team work so hard, we saw Mama mia, lion king, dracula, chicago, we will rock you, moulin rouge and all were brilliant. Other nights we had a parrot show which was good, tribute band to the Supremes and other entertainment. which was all excellent. Also every night were the "club dances " with reps, so much fun you have to join in! my favorite La bomba, we bought the cd from the entertainment team. the kids are still playing it and dancing!!! We took out the all inclusive drinks option on arrival, as there were 6 of us, 35, 39, 16, 10, 8, 3. ( toddler turned 3 when we were there.) and we did benefit from this and saved a lot of money. Also the kids had more freedom, and did not need to keep coming back for money, they could just get a drink when ever they felt like one, great!!!! My teenager had a ball, we hardly saw him for 2wks he met so many friends, The Hotel disco did not open until the 2nd week we were there, it opens at midnight when the club entertainment finishes, and closes at 1.30am. There are pool tables outside near the entertainment, which kept my 8 & 10yr olds busy every night, all the kids hung there and watched entertainment too, they loved it there. The Hotel / Club is brilliant, I can't fault it really, we had a brilliant time there. The location is fantastic, the beach right next to the hotel was fab, although hot under foot to walk on in July, but lovely once you are sat down and lovely water to swim in. The shops are nearby, main stream of shops in playa den bossa about 10mins walk from hotel, but smaller shops all along the way. The waterpark is right behind hotel, few mins walk, along with club "space" . But this can not be heard much during the night. There is aircraft noise here, slightly louder over the club, but it is fascinating watching them come in and take off, certainly didn't spoil our holiday, we loved watching the planes! From the upper floors of one side of the hotel you can see the runway! The hotel is situated in the quieter part of playa den bossa, but the main street is lined with bars and resturants if that is what you like, but far enough away from hotel, so the evenings are not noisy when you retire to your room. Regular bus route from behind hotel into Evissa(ibiza town) no14, and from Evissa you will need the no.3 if you want to visit San Antonio like we did, we went up just to see the sunset which was amazing. On way back you have to buy bus tickets from kiosks both in evissa and San Antonio. If you go to ibiza town and are unsure where to get off, once you are passing through loads of shops, look for signs Evissa, or keep looking right until you see the walls of the old part of ibiza, ( the bus takes a left turn here), after this look for the water fountain in the rounabout , next stop is where the bus stops, get off here. All the bus stops explain which buses stop and pick up from them. if you are unsure ask at the kiosk. If they are closed when you are trying to get back , then you pay on the bus. The san antonio bus stop is further up the road after this evissa drop off. We went to the old part of Ibiza town, up to castle where the views are spectacular from up there, but avoid mid day sun, we didn't, and it was soooo hot up there!! but well worth it just for the views. We also bought tickets from hotel reception for a cruise around coast, on the glass bottomed boat, 3hrs there and back 16eur adult, 10eur child, toddler free. This was lovely, stopped here and there for us to go down and see the reef and on the way back stops for 10mins if you fancy a dip in the sea, this was a lovely excursion, leaflets are available in receptions of both hotel and club. And you get on the boat at end of promenade in playa den bossa, furthest side of beach away from hotel. We bought tickets from Thomson reps for the waterpark, hotel sells them too, this was a great day out, so much fun for all ages. we didn't use the lockers but they were charging 5euro. As we booked with Thomson we also had the kidzone reps there for kids 3-12 split into different age groups. my middle two did a few sessions with them and had a lot of fun, and had some nice prizes with thomson kidzone logos on them, bat and ball, rucksacks and wallets nice to bring home with them. But they did actually spend more time with fiesta reps or just in the pool. Also on arrival you are given a small blue fiesta book, if you take this with you to the mini crazy golf behind the hotel in fiestaland you can play free independently ,the fiesta reps come here with adults and kids at different times, but if you miss them, bring the book and you play free. There is so much to do here, you certainly do not have time to be bored, and if the activities are not for you, then you can just laze around the pool or beach all day, it's perfect here, we had a good mixture, some busy days, lazy days excursion days or evening ,we did it all, and we had friends who just stayed around complex all day, so it suites every ones tastes. The hotel have brochures with bus routes which are handy to have. There is also a hippy market behind hotel opposite bahamas hotel every friday. Also all the fiesta hotels are next to each other and you can use facilites for them all if you wish. The teenagers were making friends from other fiesta hotels and sharing the facilites. In the evening there is a waiter service around the entertainment area, you don't even have to get off your seat for drinks, they were all excellent and kept us going in beers, vodkas, sangrias and pepsis every night!!! And if you are not into the entertainment on the club side , the Hotel bar is open with more relaxed entertainment, we did not see this ourselves though. All the entertainment is advertised on boards in both reception areas along with fiesta timetables and kidzone timetables, so you can plan your days or evenings if you wish and fit in your shopping or excursions if something does not interest you. Also If you book with Thomson, the reps are on hand either in club or hotel for any quieres you may have, or reception are very helpfull too. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, it was excellent and the best holiday we have ever had. I can't wait to return. Thank you Fiesta Hotel Don Toni for a FANTASTIC Holiday.
What A Great Holiday!!!
Honestly people this is the most amazing, exciting fantastic holiday I have been on in my life. I am 14 years old and confess to be very hard to please, but this hotel is a definate 15/10. Hotel & Club Don Toni is a perfect hotel for all the family. For the younger kids there is an excellent kids club with the best kids zone team imaginable. If your children are not fans of Kids Club there is also the mini-club which will entertain them with numerous activities such as mini golf, killer pool, football, water polo and many more. For the older children, there is Rifle Shooting and Archery which is absolutely brill. Also available is Ping Pong, Pool, Volleyball, Water Polo, Water Aerobics, (which is only naming about a quater of what is on offer)! With Bora Bora Beach and a great nightclub only around 10 minutes away adults have everything they need and more. We chose to upgrade to the All Inclusive option which offers the greatest food tasted on the island, with choices to suit every diet (including vegan). I would recommend definatelyupgrading to All Inclusive drinks as it does reduce the overall cost bya large margin. The Waitors and Chefs are kind, interesting and are never too busy to stop and engage in a friendly chat. When it comes to the evening entertainment there are definately some sensational shows, and only 1 show which we didn't like (the parrot show). Definately watch out for Dracula,Moulin Rouge,Chicago and the Mr and Miss Fiesta. The Fiesta Team are proven to be the best as part of the team won an award voted for by the british public. Watch out for the best entertainer i've ever come across. Elexis. The day we arrived back home we booked to go back again for the 3rd time. Go To Fiesta Hotel And Club Don Toni!!!!!!
FANTASTIC
One of the best holidays we have had . As a family we have stayed in many Fiesta Hotels and I must say this was the best. The cleanliness of the rooms and public areas was spotless and the food was excellent. The Fiesta entertainment team was first rate and encouraged even the shyest of children and adults to join in without being to pushy. The swimmming pools were always cleaned first thing in the morning and were ready for use by 9am. The all inclusive drinks option is a must if you have children it seems expensive but we did not take up this offer and with 2 adults and 1 child we had spent roughly the same amount within 5 days mainly on soft drinks and bottled water. All staff at the Don toni are very friendly and helpful with a smile for everybody.
Great hotel
This hotel is perfect for a family or couple or even on your own as it caters for everyone. The food is amazing prepared right in front of you and the choice is very international. The staff are polite and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The hotel is right on the beach and the buses will take you anywhere for a cheap price. We were a party of 13 from the ages of 2 up to 65 and we all had fun. My advice is go during high season if your out to party but go in October if you like it a bit slower and relaxing.
Excellent stay in Hotel Don Toni
My partner and I just got back from a holiday in the Fiesta Hotel Don Toni which was excellent. The location is very good for the beach being basically on the beach. The hotel food is the best and have put on lots of weight. Every evening you get a massive selection of different foods to meet all tastes and sweets/puddings to die for. This would put a few of the 4/5 star hotels I have stayed in to shame. We travelled with Thomson and everything went extreemly smoothly and the staff were very helpful. You can use all the Fiesta hotel facilities in the local area if you are looking for a change. The rooms are clean and get cleaned every day very promptly. Only down side is there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. From the hotel you are next to Club Space if you are into clubbing however it does not make much noise that can be heard from the hotel complex. The Aquamar outdoor water park is located behind the hotel 2 mins walk - get tickets from hotel or Thomson and save some money. Also located behind the hotel is the bus stop from which you can travel to Ibiza town (every 30 mins) for a few Euros. Takes 10 mins to town where you can visit the marina with all its boats and the old part of the town which is amazing. I loved this part of the town and one day walked the distance from the hotel 15km down the beach and through into town, although tired its a great way to see things. The old part of the town within its walls is a must do. If you are planning on using the beach rather than pool each day then the beach beds will cost you approx. 2 euros each and not forgetting one 2 euros for the umbrella. A cheaper way is to go to one of the shops next to the hotel a buy a bed and umbrella costs a lot less in the long run. If you have children or just enjoy mixing then there is pool side evening entertainment run by the hotel or Thomson. Alternatively get a bus to the town and enjoy the many cafes and people watch.
prefect holiday.
brill holiday, stayed in hotel with my family of six, rooms cleaned every day, food excellent, staff great would come again.
Very, Very good holiday
We stayed here last year and had a really nice time. our daughter was 1 at the time and she loved playing on the VERY close beach everyday. the food was brilliant, the staff were helpful when needed and the hotel was clean and basic. our room was quite small, we had studio so i would recommend paying extra for a bigger room. the beach and sea was fantastic, and the weather was gorgeous when we went. there wasnt an awful lot around the hotel, small bars and shops which were over priced so it is probably best to go all inclusive where possible. the bus to ibiza town runs regular and is a nice day out, has a macdonalds and kfc! the evening entertainment was good, great fun for kids but not much for adults. in my oppinion its family place (hence being in thomsons superfamily brochure!) and if watching your kids have fun isnt entertaining...wat is? am considering going again next year epecially now my daughter is a bit older, as food was a major problem for her with not much for her on the buffets (needed sloppy foods that she'd like) and nearest shops charging £3 per jar of baby food! Overall, great range of food with a kids buffet menu (fish fingers, chicken nuggets, spag bol, chips etc) breakfast also good (cereal, cooked breakfasts, cakes, yoghurts, juices) great location (airport close by, some planes are noisy but it doesnt cause much noise honest!), great entertainment and great price! we paid £860 for 3 of us staying for one week half board!
