Just back from Don Toni Hotel, Great location for Beachlovers. Excellent Food, Clean Hotel. Now for the Bad points,18 euros for 2 beds + umbrella on beach, No chance of beds by Pool All reserved at 8.00 Guest take umbrellas into ther rooms in club part, No chance of seats for evening entertainment, Adults send kids to reserve seats ,Entertainment very average,Only 3 lifts in hotel if your on the 10th floor God help you.Do not walk on the beach past Bora-Bora (5 mins away) People doing all sorts of things Quite upsetting for young Kids, Numerous fights outside Bora-Bora while we where there, Short trip to Ibiza town but cost us 20 Euros for 2 halves of lager + 2 Kids Cokes. Apparently Space night club Have taken over Hotel opposite Don toni and it will be a 18 to 30 Check before you book

EXCELLENT HOTEL! We spent a week here (family of 3, child 12). Upgraded to AI for 18e per adult, 11e for child. Hotel fantastic. Food varied, plenty of it, freshly cooked. Something for everyone. Local drinks included in AI were fine. We tried the rose wine, red wine, gin and whisky and they tasted much better than expected. We found people did not abuse the AI option where alchohol was concerned. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it sensibly and we at no time saw anyone drunk. Did not find our experience the same as one I've just read. We had lunch in the El Patio restaurant (open 1.30pm-3pm) every day - buffet style and again excellent choice and quality. Food in the pool bars not particularly good but some people might prefer a quick burger or toastie. The pool at the Club is very busy. Plenty of sunbeds but not so many brollies. People reserving them with towels from very early in the morning. Pool at hotel a different experience. No sunbeds but you could lie on the grass on towels or lilos. Staff could not have done more. Always pleasant with a smile for everyone. Entertainment was first class every night (except nothing on Sunday). Professional shows on several times a week. Not repeated within 2 weeks. Does get busy though so seating can be a problem. Beach excellent, reached from beach bar - you can get drinks there on AI but not food. The hotel is not terribly modern but is very clean, maid service every day. Rooms are adequate with TV, couch (which folds out for a bed). Twin beds. Mixer tap showers - plenty of hot water at all times. Lots of sports activities and mini-golf on site and at the pool/beach. Water park close to the hotel - walking distance. Space night club also close to hotel but we didn't hear any noise. Bora bora beach close by is popular with the clubbers. Water in the pool and at the beach lovely and warm. The resort itself was disappointing with everywhere playing club music although we enjoyed going to Ibiza town, nice cafes, bars and marina. Took a boat ride back to Playa D'en Bossa which was only 3.50e each, takes about 20 mins. I would certainly consider coming back to this hotel as it ticked a lot of boxes and we had a superb time, despite Playa D'en Bossa having little to offer, the hotel made up for it.

Just back from this hotel a week ago.
I gave this hotel a 3 rating as i only found three good things about it.
The food, the views, and the rooms.
Bad Points are as follows:
We paid 658 euros (3people - 2 weeks) too upgrade from halfboard to allinclusive, big mistake and a waste off money.
We dont do lunch as we usually have a snack at lunch time.
On going to the snack bar we were told we could only have 3 food items on allinclusive which were a hotdog roll, burger roll or cheese toastie. We had to pay for ice cream and bagettes.
We also couldnt use the club beach bar as that was out of bounds for allinclusive guests, a nasty member of staff told me to get out and use the hotel pool bar.
While sitting with friends at the hotel bar who were half board the staff constently stood over us and u could tell they were watching to see if we were getting drinks for them ( as if ) it made us feel very uncomfortable.
The entertainment was in the club part for complex and by the time you finished ur dinner and got round there, there were no seats left.
The hotel had no entertainment ever.
We had no sunloungers at the hotel pool and had to just sit on our towels.
The beach sunloungers cost 6 euros each and the parasols were 6 euros each as well. O beach was lovely.
I must sound a right moan. Ibiza is lovely island and we enjoyed our day trips but would certainly not go back to a Fiesta hotel if that is the way they treat you when you upgrade.
Met some lovely people though. They all thought the same
A well travelled 44yr old and family.

Just returned from 1 weeks holiday with husband and 4 year old son. We had a fab time, loved the location of hotel and the food was first class. Ideal family holiday. The hotel was clean and bright with friendly staff. The food was a wide variety and all very fresh. The hotel is right on the beach which is very clean and ideal for young family (the only thing is that they were charging 16 Euro for 2 beds and umbrella PER DAY). The hotel has great facilities for all the family, and is only a 10 minute walk from the centre. I would definately stay at the hotel again, but would not go near the Club Don Toni (the other part of the complex) it was Butlins in the sun with people sitting drinking all day and night, and all packed like sardines round the pool side - not my cup of tea. Overall would recommend for a great family holiday.

The hotel was not bad however the location was wonderful you can step right on to the beach.
It's a great long sandy beach.
The resort itself is a bit of a letdown not too many pubs/bars/clubs and by the end of a two week holiday was a little tedious. However Ibiza is a small island and a taxi to another resort is easily done and not too expensive about £25.00 from one end to the other.

It was our second time in Ibiza and we chose Playa den Bossa because we wanted to be in the middle of the night life and had previously stayed at San Antonio and wanted to go elsewhere this year.
The hotel was great right in the middle of the action... just 5mins walk to the pubs and clubs. But at night you could still get a good nights sleep as it wasn't too loud. The food was ok... not very varied but ok. The pool was great and was nice not to have to fight over sunbeds! Overall a great holiday!

It was one of the best holidays we have had, good food, and wonderful staff very friendly.
We could not have been any nearer to the sea. We are looking forward to next year, roll on.
The hotel was really clean and comfortable and catered for (us oldies)with bad legs, the entertainment was very good.

This was our first time to Ibiza with the children and chose this hotel as our friends were staying close by. We had a really fantastic time and the children (12 & 14) also really enjoyed it.
The location is fantastic, right on the beach at Playa D'En Bossa, and the sand is lovely and soft, although it does get hot during the day!
We had 2 rooms which were inter-connecting and they had views out over the beach and sea. Rooms were a very good size with twin beds and also the bathroom was a good size too. Maid came every day. There was a ceiling fan over the beds but also a/c which was great and it stayed on even when you weren't in the room - heaven to come back to after a day sunbathing.
All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The restaurant in the Hotel Don Toni was great. We managed to sit outside on the terrace for both breakfast and dinner and this was lovely. Food was excellent with a huge buffet for both meals. There were a lot of items freshly cooked so that was great too! The kids loved the doughnuts in the morning!
We went half board but upgraded to 'all inclusive' for drinks only and this was good value for money. We paid 8 Euros each for the kids and 13 Euros each for us adults (per day). It made everything really easy and the kids could go and get a drink whenever they liked - they particularly liked the chocolate milkshakes (so did we) and at night we loved having our bottle of sparkling wine with dinner - which was very good!
The entertainment takes place next door at the Club Don Toni and we did watch a couple of shows which were very good. The only thing is that there aren't nearly enough chairs and tables at night so often we sat on the wall or some sunbeds!
You can use all the facilities of the Club Don Toni, including their restaurant but we preferred ours!
All in all this was a great place and I would definitely go back again.

We stayed at this Hotel August 2006, the holiday was fantastic and we have booked again for September 07.
The food was out of this world, entertainment excellent, even upgraded when we got there to inclusive.
Would highly recommend this hotel over and over again.
The staff are very helpful and cannot do enough for you, the reps are always around and deal with any issues you have.
You are right on top of a lovely beach with a beach bar.
Shops are just a stroll away.
We used the local bus to take us to Ibiza town on a Saturday night, this is a must.......the bars are fantastic.........go to Big Ben's and have a fabulous night.
Weather was fantastic - clear blue skies.
Don Toni, here we come..

We have just returned from another 7 night stay at the Hotel Don Toni. We are a married couple in our 40s with an 11 year old son. We first visited in 2002 and had never heard of the Don Toni until we overheard some people talking enthusiastically about the holiday they were going on while having a meal on Mother's Day!.
I wonder whether those who found the facilities poor realised that the whole of the complex including the Club is available to all Hotel guests. We choose the Hotel as it is slightly quieter than the Club area of the complex and means that you can choose to sit in the quiet Hotel bar for a coffee or go round to the Club side if you want to join the action - best of both worlds.
Accommodation
The hotel rooms are a reasonable size, although a little squashed with the camp bed for the child. We had two single beds which were pushed together as a double. There is a TV in the room (only showing spanish TV, BBC World service and Eurosport) and every room has a balcony with a view of either the sea or the Club and the pool. The bathroom was adequate with a shower over the bath. Air conditioning (with controls) and a large fan above our bed! There was maid service every day. You can hire a safe in the room for an extra €18 for a week.
Hotel
The hotel itself was clean, modern and very large. Reception was well staffed and all staff were keen to help. Plenty of bar staff - two pool bars, two main bars and one beach bar.
The hotel pool is quiet, large; clean - no sun beds at this one - only a grassy area... however you can use all the facilities of the Club Don Toni which forms part of the complex and this pool is more suitable for sun worshippers. Usual problems with sun beds.
Entertainment is excellent, with kids clubs, sports for the adults and a show every night including some excellent efforts at stage shows such as Mamma Mia.
Food
We choose to upgrade to all inclusive (you can pay for this on arrival, all inclusive for food and drink or drink alone). About £200 for 2 adults and a child for a week.
This is the highlight of our holiday. The large restaurant serves every kind of food you could want from salads, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, carvery, burger bar, hot meals, soup, veg section, desserts. Show cooking of pasta and steaks/pork/fish. There is even a children's area with their own food (eg chips, burgers, fish fingers etc) - my son finds the biscuits with chocolate spread on irresistible! You could go up as many times as you liked. Breakfast includes cereals, bread and cheese/cold meat, full English, yoghurts, fruit juices, omelettes cooked to order - my son recommends the doughnuts! All food is cooked to a high standard. There are some queues but nothing major. You can also order packed lunches the evening before if you are out for the day, too much for us to eat.
Beach
The beach is literally through a gate at the end of the swimming pool by the children's club. It is a lovely quiet beach with golden sand, no pebbles and a gently sloping shore - you can wade a long way out and still only be knee deep. There is beach bar run by the Don Toni by the gate to the beach and drinks can be easily accessed if you are on the beach. There is a tap by the gate as you return so you can get the sand off your feet. We only discovered this route the second year we were there.
Town
The town is about a 10 min walk away - usual touristy shops and bars - being all inclusive we don't venture in there much - except to the crazy golf places.
Trips
We took the Thomsom trip around the island the first year - good for adults - not so interesting for children
We had a trip to Formentera the next year - again run by Thomson - then we discovered the same trip could be undertaken by walking along the main street of the town as far as the Mare Nostrum hotel (or take the bus from outside Fiestaland) and then walking down to the jetty and paying for the trip there - much cheaper and the same trip if you then catch the bus that waits at the harbour - it takes you to a fabulous beach and then leaves you there for three hours - returns to collect you at 3:00 and takes you of a tour of the island - to the lighthouse and to the highest spot of the island before returning you to the harbour just in time for the ferry back.
You can also catch a boat to the harbour in Eivissa (Ibiza Town) from the same jetty. It's worth climbing the Dalt Villa if you visit the town. There are also a trips to Es Cana and to the hippy market by boat.
Ask at the hotel reception for details of the trips - we went on a glass bottom boat around the coast this year ... brilliant - especially swimming with the fishes
Basically, if you want a great hotel, entertainment for the kids, excellent food, wonderful location on the beach front and a warm, friendly atmosphere then this is the place for you.
I would recommend going all inclusive for food and drinks though!

First time my family has been to Ibiza. Having a 16yr boy and two girls 14and 12. I would not go back to playa d en bossa. The town in our opinion was dirty, untidy and full of young clubbers who appeared either high on drugs or drunk.
This was both in the morning and the evening. Not much evidence of law enforcement. Although the beach by the hotel don toni was beautiful it was spoilt half way along the beach by bora bora. It appeared to be full of young people again drunk or high on drugs day and night.
There where empty bottles and litter everywhere. When we went out of the hotel with the kids we didn’t feel safe to let them go off on their own. It was very intimidating. We personally would not recommend the resort for families who had children the same age as mine unless you are content to stay round the hotel. We visited the water park as recommended by the holiday reps. This lacked excitement, variety and was a bit run down. Kids said it was boring.
We spent two weeks at the hotel don toni and upgraded to all inclusive. Big Mistake! Drinks option only would have been better. Food was very often cold when served and the same kind of food repeatedly been served. Variety for children was limited. My daughters gave up going for lunch and most evening had chips and fruit. There never appeared to be any all inclusive snacks in the eve and no ice creams in day for kids.
Entertainment was good for adults and small children but nothing for teenagers. Needed something for 12-16 yr olds. Hotel staff pleasant and obliging. Location on the beach was lovely. Sun beds on beach 450euros. Beds not available around hotel pool had to lie on grass, the beds round the club pool where diff to get unless you get up early. Hotel room clean and air conditioned which was great.
Beautiful view from room. Thomson reps pleasant but never got back to us with any problems we had. Information mainly given only about excursions they provided.
Never told us we could upgrade to all inclusive. Go on boat trip to Ibiza town it has great places to eat and shop. Cost 5 euros return. If we ever went back to Ibiza Es Cana would be a place we would consider going to.

This is a Thompson ‘super family’ hotel in the lively resort of Playa D’en Bossa. The hotel is sister to the club Don Toni that is adjacent. The hotels are very ‘1970’s’ in style and decor but are superbly situated on a lovely beach which is safe for the children. The rooms were small but functional and were very clean.
The food in the hotel was good with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner and there were the choice of two restaurants the downstairs one having terraces where you could dine ‘al fresco’ if desired. One thing I did like about the restaurants were that they never felt crowded and there were always plenty of spare tables.
The swimming pool at the hotel was smaller than the club pool but there were no chairs or sunbeds so you had to lay on the grass. The club seemed to be where it was all happening all the entertainment was based there and there was plenty to do during the day and evening.
The children’s club was excellent with the added bonus of ‘fiesta’ reps as well running other activities so there was plenty for the children to do. The entertainment in the evening was similar to anywhere else you may choose to go in Spain Mr Don Toni, Quiz night and some professional acts, which were ok. In hindsight I think we as a family would have been better off at the club Don Toni as we have a disabled child who only wants to be where the action is.
The resort itself was ok, a bit scruffy in places but it felt very safe during the day and at night to walk around. Ibiza town is lovely, very cosmopolitan and fascinating to walk round.
