Two months ago we travelled to New York for the first time. It was absolutely amazing!

We stayed at Westin Times Square. It was expensive but worth it.

You should try Carnegie Deli and ask for a Woody the biggest sandwich you will ever experience nowhere.

Tavern On The Green is a beautiful restaurant in Central Park - this one also wasn't cheap but well worth it, and of course no trip to New York is complete without going to see Libby, the Statue of Liberty.

And of course Ellis Island ferry crossing is another must! Enjoy your visit in New York!

We stayed in this hotel over the New Year period as it is located just off Times Square.

It has a lovely entrance area and the staff on reception were very welcoming. We had booked a fitness room and the equipment in the room was of a high standard and the room was very comfortable.

It is ideally situated for all your shopping needs and we had easy access to Times Square on New Years Eve right by where the ball lowers which was great.

The room service was good if a little overpriced so we only had breakfast here once.

There is a little shop located a couple of doors down who do takeaway breakfasts which were really nice, so we often got food here to take back to our room.

The room was expensive but you get what you pay for and it was of a good size with a good view of the city and a maid cleaned the room every day.

There is also a cinema adjoining the hotel which we went to a couple of times.

The only thing that annoyed me about this hotel was that my husband and I went to have a drink in the bar before going to watch a show on Broadway and despite both being 25, we were declined service.

The manner in which they did it was also a bit embarrassing given that the bar was full.

I did go and get our passports although we felt that we shouldn’t have needed to do this given that you have to be over 21 to book a room and there is a minibar in your room?

So we didn’t visit the bar again. Other than that little issue we had a great stay and would stay here again.
