Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon in March this year and it was the best experience of our lives. We stayed B&B for 10 nights with a great deal with Apollo Travel, although to go again in peak season would be too out of our price range. When we... more

Big rooms, clean and comfortable apart from the hardest mattress in the world. The staff are superb nothing is too much trouble. Facilities were limited because it was winter. Some nights only one restaurant to go to. However the food was superb whichever restaurant was... more

The hotels was great and I would definitely recommend it for families. The choice of restaurants was huge and there was something for everyone, including a kids restaurant with a huge variety of healthy meals - with little kiddie tables - free drinks and as much as you... more

Pricey
We have just come back from staying in an RCI villa situated within the Le Meridien complex. The hotel is luxurius, perhaps a little dated looking, but the service is exceptional and the prices of drinks etc, well about GBP £5 a pint & GBP£3 a coke. The hotel is a long way out of Limassol, the hotel provides an infrequent shuttle service into town but the local buses are acceptable and the bus stop is just outside the hotel gates. The villas are clean, but tired. The area around our villa was not as well kept as other parts of the hotel. The kitchnette had no cooker or hob but a microwave & a toaster that had a foreign plug(??). The towels in the villas are over washed and thin, whereas the hotel ones are better. The bathroom had obviously just been updated and this was a good point. A general feeling that the guests within the villas are second class to the main hotel. The hotel is enormous, with a leisure land to fulfill all your needs, the pools well thought out with separate childrens and adults only areas to please everyone. A water slide near the childs pool was great fun. The sunbeds are packed so close together it was like lying in a double bed with your neighbour!. The sunbeds have deep mattresses and more comfortable than the villa bed. The beach is a dissapointment, can't understand why this hotel was ever built adjacent to it. Take plenty of cash is my advice!
Excellent Hotel
This is an excellent hotel with great amenities. We went slightly off season and therefore it was very quiet and on a couple of days we had the "grotto" pool to ourselves. The rooms were excellent and the sheer size of the pool complex mean't you didn't really feel bored as you could choose a totally different area each day. Service was excellent, my only quibble was that drinks were pretty expensive and there was no onsite or nearby shop to get essentials like water and soft drinks. Mini bar was about £2.60 (English pounds) for a can of coke. Restaurants were varied and offered very nice food.
Excellent Hotel
We have just come back from a fantastic stay at this hotel.... what can i say... i dont know where to begin!!! from the moment that we arrived reception staff was excellent, we asked for a upgrade and got a pool and sea view which was very nice. the maids in the room, are excellent , clean towels twice a day, nothing is to much trouble. i visited the spa, the treatments are amazing, staff very helpful, i recommended the thalasso spa! the staff in the gym are excellent and around the pool and beach area's. resturant..... what can i say about this.... the food is absoloutely unbelieveable..we was treated like royalty..must say dinos resturant manager was unbelievalby helpful..if i didnt like something he would get me an alternative. he even made my toast for me to save me queing up. also must mention, maria thelous andrea's and christos everybody is just excellent.. unfortunately i suffered a bad back most of the holiday, everyday they asked how i was and they bent over backwards to get me treatment. overall this hotel is just "TOO GOOD FOR WORDS!!!" to be honest we usually stay at the four seasons bu this equally as good if not better. the people in this hotel are much more down to earth. even though we didnt have children the facillities are unbelieveable and SAFE SAFE SAFE!!!!! if your thinking of buying jewelery visit micheals diamond gallery, very competetive prices, and mention carol you will get a good discount..
Finally a warm pool
We have 3 children aged 10, 9 and 6 and we had a very enjoyable holiday - the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities are fabulous for all of us with some things organised but not 'in your face', the rooms spacious and very comfortable. The highlight was finally a large pool that is heated and not just the word in the brochure! A luxurious hotel without being 'stuffy'.
Delightful
Stayed here during the Easter break - myself, my wife and kids aged 9, 7 and 9 months. What we loved about this hotel was the way that it manages to be extremely child friendly without getting 'McDonaldsy': We loved the buffet evening menu, which changes daily. Kids can choose to have a good quality Child Menu but equally, can try out the grown-up buffet meals as well. The Penguin Village kids club is well run with lots to do for kids of all ages. Spacious family rooms are available and ours easily accommodated the 5 of us. Only criticism: The bathrooms are a bit outdated - would be better to have separate showers. Lots of 'adult only' space as well with a separate 'adults only' pool, restaurant and spa area. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Would strongly recommend this hotel.
great resort
I enjoyed that stay there, you can do every thing without a need to go out of this spa, every thing is available, from meeting rooms to activity areas, I recommend each of you to try this great resort
love the breakfast
It was a great stay - full of fun and great service
5 star relaxation, luxury and outstanding service
What a beautiful, calming, professional and luxurious hotel this is. I stayed at this gorgeous hotel for 5 days early March 07 as a mini break from the madness of life in the UK. My friend and I had the most amazing time. This hotel was something else. From a stunning room in the Royal Spa Wing overlooking the waterfall pools, to delicious food in their choice of wonderful restaurants, to lovely views and fantastic service. We had such an enjoyable time. Our room was just fabulous. Very modern with a jacuzzi bath in the room overlooking the pool and sea - just amazing. The staff were extremely professional, polite and very nice, warm people. Everything was just perfect. The Cypriot people are so friendly and a joy to be with. The Meridien Spa was also something else! Winning the world's leading spa in 2005, this place was a dream. We experienced first hand what treatments should be like. They were out of this world! This hotel is big but not too big. It feels very personal. It is residents only and really private. There are a few different pools and lots of different places to sit and relax and sunbathe. If you have children, then there is the Penguin Village and a sports and activity area, so plenty to keep the children occupied. This is just away from the main pools and sunbathing areas, so if you don't have children then you are not disturbed by them. The communal areas are fantastic too, just so clean, modern, bright and fresh. It felt so nice to be there. I loved every minute and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a classy, 5 star stay, with or without children. I hope to return again as I really did have a wonderful time. LD
The Best Spa Resort I Visited
I booked my holiday in january through my agent in Oxford and was offered free half board for all my stay so i did not refuse the offer. I am glad i went!!! The hotel was fantastic, the food and service was impecible and the rooms were so spacious and comfortable. I left my children in their childrens village and pampered myself in their incredible spa. It really deserves 6 stars and i can say that it is even better than forte viallge in sardinia. You must try their body chocolate treatment and their exotic coconut float! just amazing. I have rebooked my holidasy last week for easter 2007 and they offered my free half board once again!!! it seems they have this offer all year round so i advice people to visit this beautiful resort and also get the value for money deal!! For any questions please email me on russselkn@aol.com
You must visit this hotel!!
This hotel is amazing! The service from all of the staff is professional and very welcoming. The hotel grounds are fantastic, landscaped gardens, direct access to the beach and very spacious. We went at a quieter time of year, but i'm very sure that even in the busier summer months, you would never wait to be served, not find a sunbed or dining table, simply because of the size of the resort, and the amount of amenities in the hotel. It does seem to offer something for everyone aswell, children of all ages, couples, singles, groups, business travellers etc.-I would definetely recommend this hotel for anyone in need of relaxation in luxurious settings, with plenty of amenities on hand. You must visit the spa whilst you stay, as it is absolutely fantastic. The staff again are kind and professional, and offer advice for you. Robes, slippers, refreshments are all offered whilst in the spa, and you can relax in a room overlooking the sea, with sunbeds and fresh towels after your treatment-definetely worth a visit! The restaurants are all a la carte, the food caters again for everyone-vegetarians, vegans etc. I would recommend going on a half board basis as you have a choice of breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner, and this can make a good saving(-more to spend in the spa!). This hotel really will exceed all your expectations, and we're already planning to go back again next year! Make sure you take a trip there, and i'm sure you'll all enjoy your holiday as much as we did ours!
