I just got back a few days ago and I dont see what all the fuss is about. Ok it was'nt the hilton but I can honestly say that i got fair value for money. This is a three star hotel and all the facitlies were provided for it to be so. I mean at this price you wouldent even bother to start to imagine of finding anything likewise in any other country. Ive been to cyprus a few time and when the say 3 star hotel its 3 star, when its a 5 star hotel its 5 star and so on, unlike other countries ive been.(ie: france, portugal, italy, australia and even our very own UK!!). The main interest here is getting what you pay for and we did. Swimming pools, inclusive meals, bar area, cleaning services and even a less than average entertainment was offerd. (I can admit it was not the best, uneccesary but at least it was offerd).
You are a three minute walk from the beach and you are right on the tourist costal line of limassol which offers more than enough bars and entertainment you can handle, trust me. I dare anyone to find anything in England remotely close to the services provided by the golden arches at the same price.

We've just returned from a 2 week stay at the Golden Arches Hotel in Limassol with my husband and young daughter. For the money we spent our stay was great. Our room was cleaned every day, clean sheets and towels. The staff were all friendly but also human with it;talked, joked and laughed with them and they made our stay very nice. The breakfast was served in a restaurant near pool and the food was good; buffet style service(breakfast, dinner) or snacks from the bar during our sunbathing near the pool.I truly believe that for a 3* hotel it is in a very good location, has a great beach just across and would not hesitate to stay again.

My husband is in the Military stationed in Cyprus at the minute, we thought we would book a night in a hotel at the other side of the island. Unfortunatley for us it was the golden arches (big mistake) we went all inclusive as we have 3 kids, which then tied us to saying in the hotel for the duration. The food was terrible, and my children wouldnt even eat it, the place is dated smelly and our room was dirty. The entertainment was a man playing an organ singing the most depressing songs you can imagine. At about 10.30 that evening we packed our bags and left for home, at least we were able to do that but for hundreds of holiday makers they cant, so please if your planning a holiday look elsewhere. We went happy and the kids excited and came home very very disapointed, just wish we had read reviews before hand.

YOU MUST READ THIS!!! we have just come back from a weeks holiday staying in golden arches hotel and i feel i have to write a review. 6 of us went here, the youngest being 17 and the oldest 30. i read reviews and there was sum good and some bad but we thought we will try it for ourselves, i wish we had listens to the bad ones. it is nothing at all thats stated in the brochure and photos. the first thing i wasnt keen on is the steep hill we had to walk to get to the hotel doors and there wasnt a bar to hold on untill half way up. there was elderly people having to stop after a few steps up to the hotel doors. the staff were very ingnorant and didnt help us when we asked for assistance. while we stayed there was a greek wedding that no one informed us about. and they took up the whole hotel space. for our dinner we were placed at the back to eat our meals. the manager told us that we had to pay 10 euros if we wanted to get to the hotel bar!!! and the price of a beer was nearly 3 euros, a glass of coke cost the same and a coffee was 2.60. we ate out all week long as the food was the same and appauling. the same meals were served every night if you are a vegeterian then this food is no good for you, meat, rice, potatoes, and the breakfast was awful. i started to eat some chicken, it was pure red inside so i informed the waiter and he said ok. he went in the kitchen but nothing was done about it. they left the tray for every boby else to eat! also the waiter said that the food was left overs from the wedding that they warmed up which i believed as the cake (our pudding) was the same as the wedding cake. so it was left stale all that time!! there was no entertainment at all. the car parking space was for the hotel across the road and we asked for the tennis courts that we had to book if we wanted to play, the staff didnt know were it was, so we left it. 3 nights a week a bloke sat with an organ and sung really old songs. we was told that the wide screen television downstairs in the so called entertainment room was broke and had no sattelite- as we were looking forward to watching the football. but suddenly it was fixed for the wedding! the best thing about this so called holiday was the heat. if you are reading this and thinking other people are giving good reviews then its up to you if you want to go here but you will wish you had taken note of this review!!!!!

I would not go to this hotel again.

the hotel was not good for its price the pictures look nothing like the real hotel , i found a cockoach in the room and the toilet was broken which wasnt fixed ! the food was nice but after a while got boring . the swimming pool was fulll of dirt and peoples hair and all the locals could come wenever they want which over took the hotel. there was always christenings, weddings, birthdays which wasnt really good because you couldnt do anything. they never left towels in the room always had to ask for them all the time. i looked across my balconi and wished i stayed in medditerainean hotel!!!

We were very disappointed with our stay here especially for the price that we paid!
The decor of the hotel is very dated and the facilities are basic.
The rooms are clean but old looking and the view is of buildings.
The food was the same every day very basic.
The best things about this hotel were the very pleasant Czech lady working in the restaurant who always has a smile and the cats!!
These were the main attractions for the many children staying there.
We would not return!

we stayed in the golden arches for 42 nights, and were very pleased after all the horror stories we had read.the hotel is a bit dated, but we had very good service, there was always hot water, the beds were changed often, and you could have clean towels when you wanted.we found the room plenty big enough.the bar was very good with a good choice,as for the food there was always something to eat as you had a choice.the staff where spot on ,always there to please.not a lot to do in evening but this may change in summer.the hotel is a long way from main town, but the buses are good.for the money we paid we thought it was very good and would go again.we have been to a lot worse

We were at this so called hotel for one week allinclusive holiday in march 2010 the reception area was nicely decorated clean and modern as was the dining area the food OMG bland tateless cold same things night after night, breakfast dont bother with it have extra sleep insted (do you more good ). I was very ill on the third day after eating a small piece of chicken even though iwas trying to be careful.Ate out after that there were other people ill at differenttimes as well.Rooms were clean and towels and beds changed daily.Very noisy with boy races on motort bikes till 1-30am every night. The bar was a joke one drink at a time fine, but when i asked for a coffee got refused one because i had a drink in front of me (sprite)I just wanted a coffee for goodness sake.Overall a hotel not to be visited too many people trying to be orimpress the boss. Will never visit again and advise anyone else to think once twice or more before booking this hotel.
