Royalton Hotel

If you are going to spend some time in NY city, this hotel is absolut great! Me and my friend spent 5 nights in august 2008 and we had a marvellous time. Friendly personel, nice and clean room, rain-shower and we even had a balconny. Our bose i-pod dock didn't work, gave a ring to the reception and in no time we had a working dock! The hotel has a hip athmosfere and a cool bar. Highly recommended!

I brought my mother to NY in July since she never saw the city before. I wanted the right hotel for our 4 days stay, well located, high quality, good service and nice people. The Royalton was definitely the right pick. One block from Time Square, two from Bryant Park, next to the 5th, 15 minutes walk from Central Park. I found great the entrance, totally anonymus, difficult to be recognized, more similar to a privé club. Once in, the greatly designed hall and the soft lights impress for their real coolness. Just got back from a wonderful time in the Big Apple. I booked the Royalton Hotel this time with Hotwire and was quite pleased! First: This is a hotel for a great romantic leason. The mood of the hotel is very mysterious. Somewhat dark; but not so dark that you can't see. The lobby is one of the best I have seen; very rich and moody with a glowing fireplace to help set the mood. I booked one night at the Royalton Hotel to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday in the city. (We are both from NY, but I thought seeing the city from a tourist perspective might be kind of fun)... I booked a weekend getaway to NYC using hotwire and got a great deal to stay at the Royalton. From the minute I walked in, I was quite impressed with the design which I found to be very hip and trendy. I was given a spacious room, by NYC standards, that had a terrace which was utilized when having breakfast in the morning and a glass of wine in the early evening. We just came back from a six nights stay in a deluxe room. The room had a good size and we liked the modern style. The bath with the large round tub is very nice. The shower is very powerful. The hairdryer could have been better. We found the bed in our room very comfortable but too small. Our room had no view and a real negative point was the very loud noise from the air-condition. Royalton Hotel is simply amazing. It is sophisticated, chic and the staff are incrediable and will make you feel like a celebrity. The rooms are extreemly spacious and have such a fresh feel to them. This hotel has all the minors down to a tee. From the modern bed side tables to the lounge area. The fire in the main lounge is such a focal point. Billed as the place to be seen in New York, it nearly met expectations. I stayed in a Loft Suite for a week. Room: The room was a large room by New York standards, no separate living area, but long window bench seat and did have an open fire place - not needed for summer. Small desk to work from, and large bathroom. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of 'to die' for pillows. Bathroom: Hollywood circular shower with disco tile's. The hotel has such a hip, cool vibe, particularly for being so centrally located. We were graciously upgraded from our superior room to a suite. The suites are amazing. We had our own hallway and the room was huge by NY standards, even for a suite. The special round bathtub is a nice treat after walking the city all day long. The service was very prompt and courteous, the concierge was helpful, and the location was perfect. We were not disappointed and would go back.

Stayed there with my girlfriend for 3 nights and we loved this hotel. We are a 27 year old couple and we love modern places. I recommend it for young people because as I read before it's not a functional hotel. Low lights in many places, very small dark elevator, small bathroom vanity space. The concierge (GIOVANNY MENA) was extremely helpful and friendly. The reception staff was very friendly too. I think the food was overpriced. Even with all the cons mentioned before I will stay there again!
