I was a 17 year old when I went here and I had the time of my life! The rooms suited us fine, we were travelling with a big group of people of various ages and I don't think anyone had any complaints to make. Admittedly there was a problem at the very beginning of the... more

holiday from hotel - compensation
Visited with children July/August last year. A terrible holiday. 4* NO! AI - NO! We were clearly conned and now the company does not want to know. Taking court action and would like to hear from any one with same problem.
Terrible
Me and my family stayed here 9th to 23rd july 2003.What a terrible time we had.On arrival things looked pretty impressive but as we filtered through to our room the real Kipriotis showed its true colours. We had an army of ants through our entire room the whole holiday/broken electrical sockets hanging from the wall/our bathroom was a health hazard with visible grease/fat on tiles/these rooms are supposed to be cleaned thoroughly upon new allocation/razor sharp tiles which i /my son and daughter cut ourselves badly/putrid smell of sewage inside our room daily/bateria present outside and in the fridge/a broken bed/cleaners left toxic sprays on our kitchen table to deal with ants/moving on the hotel was a disaster/childrens playground area was awash with broken wooden steps/fresh dog poo in kids play area/large splinters on slides<both my kids got hurt in this area yet took 1 week to put up notices and rectify problems/all inclusive was a total lie/limited drinks at any one time/poolside snacks were totally disgusting would not have fed to dogs/hotel management team very rude and abrupt adopting a like it or lump it attitude/more seriously packs of stray dogs running amok inside and outside by pool areas/several fighting and urinating by belongings. tofinally summarise i lost 1 week of the holiday lodging complaints/queing to see management and so on!Management went on to offer alternative room but declined because was worse than original one/final action from management was they offered in an abrupt manner an alternative hotel 500 yards up the road but was no good because of no lifts/management did not do anything else we were forced to endure THE HOLIDAY FROM HELL! Our current situation is 5 months down the road we are taking our booking agents to court for total mis-selling of this so -called holiday to us!I implore anyone who is thinking of booking this hotel -DONT!!Finally we would like to say that Kos is beautiful as is the rest of the island/Turkey absolutely fabulous on a day trip. Are going to Turkey 2004!
Brilliant, first class, ignore the bad reviews.
Just returned, had the last available week of the season. It was our first trip to Greece and we were very impressed. Got it on a late deal, all inc. and expected the worst but were very pleasantly surprised. Very up-market reception and bar, the staff could not do enough for you, as in most countries, if you show respect and courtesey - you get it back! Accommodation was cleaned daily, grounds and hotel were well looked after. Meals, and drinks were plentiful and varied. Staff were very child friendly and the entertainment team were great. We had a great time and will definitely try to visit again.
Holiday From Hell
The whole holiday was a pure nightmare. Myself and my girlfriend came here for a week all inclusive. When we first stepped into the holtel it looked really nice but when we got to our room it was clear to us both that this hotel should not be classed as a 4* hotel, the room was badly maintained, especially the patio door which once totally fell off its runners and fell on top of me, luckily the glass did not smass but it could of been fatal. The food was awful with no selection of anything, and the same food every day/night, we felt really sorry for kids. The all inclusive programme is a complete joke, it states in the brochure that they have burgers and pizzas for snacks throughout the day - they had none of these and the all inclusive drinks were only available until 11pm and only in 1 certain bar. We both found the staff to be very rude and unhelpful throughout our whole stay there and when we complained to reception they simply did not want to listen. To top it off, my girlfriend had jewellery stolen from our room which was hidden at the bottom of the case in a purse, there was no forced entry to our room, so too did another couple who was staying there at the time, its not hard to guess who stole the jewellery is it? if you are reading this and are thinking of going there - don't, the whole hotel and the setup there is a pure joke. If you would like any further info on this hotel please do not hesitate to contaxct my by e.mail
it is a nightmare!
the hotel is a nightmare! the food is very bad...and the organising??...even worse! i am working for a big hotel in england and i understood that the management is very unprofessional! the rooms are definatelly not for a 4 star hotel. most of the staff is RUDE....but the only people that gives to this hotel a better face is reception and especially Katerina and Eleni! they always smiled and worked hard. always helpfull and ready to help!! I cant say that we had the same attitude from the others! i am not talking for all inc....because u cant say anything about that...lets just say......no comments! Mr Kipriotis should highly consider changing his management! and something else...Mr Kipriotis.....u cant have a hotel if u dont care about your clients and have your dogs barking day and night! sorry but these are not summer holidays for us! MY SUGGESTION? GO ON HOLIDAYS TO KOS. IT IS WONDERFUL. DONT STAY IN THAT HOTEL.. IT IS A NIGHTMARE!!
It was great!
This was a really bangin holiday! The Animation team were brilliant! Any one who thinks that this resort was crap must be bloody stupid!! Me and my mate r goin bk as soon as wer old enuf!
it was absolutley great!
ive seen a lot of bad comments on this site and i would just like to say that kipriotis village was the best holiday resort i been to in a long time. i am 15 and i go on at least 3 holidays a year and as i said this is the best place ive been to in ages. the animation team were fantastic and children were never bored. the hotel wass marvelous and the swimmin pools were great. i could not fault the hotel in anyway it is a great place for a family holiday
NOT value for money
We stayed at the Kipriotis Village on 24-31 July 03. This was not a 4* and NOT a true A/I. We have stayed in 4* and A/I all over Europe, Asian & Mediterranean this is neither of those. The A/I program (as they call it) gives you access to 1 bar (even though they have 4+bars on the property) and the 1 bar changes in location after 5pm to a location far away from the outside night entertainment and pool. Our camera was stolen from our room - the hotel, medhotels, & Kos police were VERY unhelpful. It took 5 trips to the police dept to have a report taken. The meals were okay, but the childrens selection was poor. As for the snacks they offer between lunch and dinner i wouldn't feed to my dog let alone my children. Forget trying to sunbath by the pool, you cant get a lounger and the hotel has no one available to assist. The only good point was the kids loved the pools, entertainment & playground. Most of the staff were rude and unhelpful. If you are expecting a luxurious holiday - you will be disappointed.
4 star?? mmmmm
I stayed for a week in August. Had a good holiday but i don't think this hotel is of 4 star standard everywhere. The room was ok but air conditioning useless...the upper level of the room had a wobbly banister (quite dangerous)..there were shower gel dispensers provided but No shower gel in them...our wardrobe fell apart on arrival! The check in was very bad as we arrived at 6am and were told as we were all inclusive we had to wear a green band on our wrist (not allowed to take it off!) which felt ridiculous. We waited on the steps for a mini bus to take us to our room, the driver was very grumpy and made us lift our cases on and off! The pool area was very overcrowded and we could never find beds...also the pool bar turned their music up extremely loud and we found it hard to relax. The beach was nice to get away from the crowds but very pebbly. Kos town is very good for nightlife and shopping and not too many yobs about which was good. Lunch and dinner got a bit boring after a while and i think the stndard of the food could have been better. On a positive note the weather was fantastic, we hired a jeep and visited paradise beach which was lovely and i recommend the restaurant near the beach...delicious calamari!! We came back tanned and relaxed but with the money we spent i could have gone somewhere better! This hotel would improve if they worked on the maintenance and upgraded the standards of the rooms. If you need any advise feel free to e mail
Never Again
What a terrible shame, the travel agent totally oversold this holiday to us. The all inclusive was far from it, no beech towels without 10Euro fee, drink from only two bars and eat from two restaurants. The only evening bar was the 'Yannis Cocktail Bar' which was more like a kids club, the highlight being bingo, but the only cocktails on offer was Tequilla Sunrise to the AI guests. If you wanted any others then you had to pay at the reception lounge. The food was poor, cold, lacking variety, if you are going AI tip the waiter at the start of the holiday and you will notice the difference in service! Do not go if you are a couple looking for a getaway, there is no adult entertainment there at all this is a typical 'butlins' of the Greek islands. The swimming pool was good but you need to an early riser as all the pool side beds were gone by 0730. Beware if you are departing the hotel at 0200 hours you need to vacate your room at 1200 midday and then hang around for 13 hours with no sympathy at all from the staff, they will even switch the lights off around you in the evening while you are waiting for the bus. I read the reviews before I went on holiday and thought surely it can't be that bad, believe me it is!
