" The location of the Accademia is... "

The location of the Accademia is superb, in the heart of the shopping district of Verona and close to the main piazza and the Arena, but down a quiet street so you are not disturbed by traffic or pedestrian noise. I had asked for a quiet room, and we had one at the back on the 2nd floor, next to a church. It was fine.

The room was large and comfortable, with a large and luxurious bathroom, although there was no bath. Our satellite TV would not operate properly, and could not be fixed during our stay, despite the best efforts of the staff. The staff were polite and willing, and we enjoyed sampling the range of snacks on offer at the bar!

Breakfast was more than ample with a wide range of pastries, fruits and meats, as is usual for continental breakfasts the hot choice was limited to scrambled eggs and bacon, but I enjoyed eating cake for breakfast!!

If I was going to Verona again I would stay at the Accademia, for its comfortable rooms and fabulous location.

" My wife and I have used this hotel... "

My wife and I have used this hotel several times for short city breaks. It is central to shops and adjacent to the Opera, so you don’t even need a ticket!

I was unfortunately taken ill during one stay and was hospitalised for several days. The staff at the Accademia were fantastic and not only helped during my emergency, but assisted my wife and daughter, who had to fly out to join her.

For a city hotel I have never experienced such friendly atmosphere.
