One of the worst holidays I have ever been on. The food was cold with very little selection. I asked for a move from my room every day I was there and was refused. My partner was in a wheelchair and we were placed as far away from the lift as we could possibly be. How this hotel was given a 4 star I will never know. I would have expected a 2 star.
The only consolation I can say is that I could not fault the cleanliness. I will never go back. As my husband suffered from a bone disease I asked for a room with a sunny balcony. I was given a shady room overlooking a stinking pool with a dog which barked from morning to night. When I complained I heard the accommodation coordinator state that "we British are all the same".
The only time the food was of a better quality was when the Spanish arrived for the week-end. Anyone wishing to go to the Pineda Palace, please think twice.

We were actually booked into one of the groups other hotels (3*) and got upgraded to Pineda Palace. Good move, the hotel was spotless, I believe only 3 years old, food was nothing to complain about, there was always a large enough selection to choose from and even if you missed breakfast the snacks were served shortly after, usually the left overs but they always added a bit extra in.
The only thing about the hotel I was disappointed in was that the staff (especially management) could have smiled a bit more and been a bit more friendly, they never gave out enough information as to where anything was, we found the pool on the rooftop, but half way through our holiday it was a guest that mentioned she booked into their spa/sauna room and we had to ask someone where it was.
Our holiday was at the end of October and in the resort itself there wasn't much to do everything had shut down as it was the end of the season, the weather was still warm which was good and you walk out the hotel right onto the beach which was good, also you are only a few seconds away from the train station so you can visit a lot more places i.e. Barcelona, Calella, Loret De Mar, etc.
All in it was a good holiday, but I didn't think there was much to do if you had older children with you I think they would be pretty bored! but that may be different if you went earlier in the year.

Really enjoyed the Pineda Palace, it was spotlessly clean and rooms were cleaned daily and were very spacious. Food was ok, but we were told by others the menu had changed to accommodate mainly Spanish guests and was usually a lot better, even so plenty of fresh fish and salads, as well as fruit. All inclusive guests were made to feel slightly 2nd best at the bar, as had to keep getting up for drinks, waiters would only serve paying guests. Pool pretty small but again spotless. All in all fantastic value for money and we will be returning.

This is the worse hotel I have ever experienced. Definitely not a resort I would recommend for the disabled (I traveled with my disabled father).
Gym had four pieces of equipment (all broken). We had to book the use of the Jacuzzi a day in advance (for one hour use only). We only got use of it one time and it was like pulling teeth to try to get the use of it when someone cancelled their reservation. The food was the same every day of the week for breakfast, lunch and dinner with nothing new any night. Some of the rooms looked onto a brick wall.
We did get lucky and had rooms with a view. I say rooms because we had to change every night. The staff were extremely rude both in the reception area and the bar staff who catered more for Spanish tourists. Although there was a high population of British tourists in the hotel they did not make any announcements in English even the evening entertainment was in Spanish.
The rooms were clean but some days we had to wait until after 5pm to have the beds made up and clean towels put in place. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with young children (there is nothing for them to do). The town is dead!!! shops opening from 10-1 close from 1-5 then open again from 5-9.
BORING
The worst experience ever of Spain.
