Just returned from 1 week here and can't praise it enough. I am a single mum of 2 boys (15 and 11) and this is the first time I have been abroad with them on my own, so was a little wary. The staff soon put me at my ease as nothing was too much trouble and the Entertainment team were fantastic with the kids (Thanks Luciano and Andy, you made the holiday for Cory!) This is an excellent family hotel with everything that the kids could wish for. Food was ok, very varied and plenty of it. Maid and cleaning service was very good, everywhere was spotlessly clean and towels changed regularly.

Medieval Night is not to be missed and although a little pricey,is worth every penny and is great for all ages.

The only downside is the beach but with 5 pools at the hotel we never really missed it, Oh and the other downside is I only got to step out of the hotel once, to go to the medieval night, as we had met some lovely families and the kids wanted to stay in the hotel as there was so much for them to do.

I am already pricing up to go next year and would't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone with kids.

just returned from this hotel tue 13/9 after 10 days here. the staff in receptions where excellent and went out of there way to help you, the rooms are cleaned every day, the food was nice but not much choice, has 6 swimming pools 1 of which was in door, had a washing room to do ur ironing washing and drying, good shows on in the evening that start at 10 after the kids disco, down side to this hotel is the walls r like paper the first few nights we could hear the person in the next room snoring and after that we could hear ( i wont go in to detail) so take some ear plugs, the beach is a few min walk over the road, the train station was around a 10 min walk great for getting out and about to diffrent resorts, there is a market on a friday which if u turn left when u come out of the hotel walk over the hill and its there, not much to do here in the night only a few bars, but nice to relax. we would go back to this hotel, its rated a 3 star but think it should be more, there is a snack bar which was cheap and the food was lovely and it stays open till 3 am,the staff in this hotel work hard to make your holiday and enjoyable 1. if going with little ones then this is the hotel to go to.

MYSELF AND MY FAMILY VISITED THIS HOTEL FOR ONE WEEK ON 26/08/2008.I AM GLAD IT WAS ONLY FOR THE WEEK.COULD NOT HAVE STAYED ANY LONGER.

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE,COLD AND SWIMMING IN GREASE,VERY BLAND AND VERY MIXED ITEMS THAT DID NOT GO TOGETHER.

RESORT WAS TERRIBLE GRAFFITI,RUN DOWN BUILDINGS AND NO WHERE TO GO APART FROM THE HOTEL.

NEAREST TOWNS QUITE AWALK AWAY AND NOT A PLEASENT WALK TO GET TO THEM.

HOTEL STAFF UNFRIENDLY AND UNHELPFUL.

WHOEVER THOUGHT OF PUTTING FAMILY ROOMS OVER A BAR THAT STAYED OPEN UNTIL 3.30AM WITH AN OPEN TERRACE WHERE PEOPLE SAT SHOUTING TILL ALL HOURS MUST BE MAD.

ONLY GOOD THING WAS THAT THE SUN WAS SHINING.

WOLUD NO RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL

Me and my family returned back from our holiday on Sat 30th August 2008. We had an excellent time. Hotel was very clean, maids were in nearly everyday. Hotel rooms were adequate size for the 3 of us. Great views from our apartment of the pools down below and the sea. Unfortunatley, it did get a little noisy when everyone was round the pool. Weather was nice enough for us, a little overcast at times, but still very hot! Great selection of food at meals time, we as a family really enjoyed the food, especially my 6 year old her had pancakes every morning. Evening entertainment was excellant from the Thomson reps, but the taurus entertainers (amicion) were some what repetitive, same music and dance routines everynight, wasnt too bad on the first night cos you've never heard it before, but after a few nights, it gets a bit boring! Pineda is a lovely town and would advise you take a walk down the coast, markets on on Fridays and we think Sundays, or you could take the noddy train to calella if you fancy the big shop, lots of shops to look at, only 2 Euros per person return, thats providing you can cope with the flys. A massive thanks to reps JOEY and ANGE!! Couldnt have met a nicer couple, very entertaining, if they on holiday with you, you'll have the best time ever! We miss you both!!! All in all, great holiday, would recommend to anyone, and would definately go back next year!

Very good value for money hotel. We had interconnecting rooms and found them to be very spacious. The balcony overlooked the pool and the sea which was lovely. The hotel reps are really good, they ask you if you would like to join in and if you would rather watch thats fine. The food in the restaurant was good, the morning pancakes are really nice, if you can stand the number of people trying to push in!! The food was varied and the deserts were really nice as well. Plenty of variety of food if you took your time to look. The snack bar is very good value for money as well. Hotel is spotless, the reception staff are very friendly. Not much to do outside the hotel though. There is a market on a Friday morning, which was good. Other than that there is a land train that goes into Callella in about 10mins, but it is only about a 15/20 minute walk along the front if you feel like walk. Some lovely shops in callella. A 5/10minute walk the other way takes you into Pineda town, which is quite small. You can hire bikes at the hotel which is good fun aswell. All in all we had a really good holiday and could not fault the Golden Taurus.

just got back from a week at taurus park with my nan and auntie! was amazing, would love to be back there. really enjoyed everything about it. evening entertainment was always good, different stuff every night. only bad thing was that it started a bit late, 10. after that they played club songs and everyone took part in the dances which i loved! :D food was lovely at breakfast & teatime, also in the cafe bar inside the hotel. weather was nice everyday. we went on a barcelona excursion one day to the zoo and football stadium - that was brilliant! overall, a fantastic holiday. i hope we visit there again soon :D would recommend it to anyone! xx

Very clean hotel and very busy. This is brilliant for young families as there is something going on all the time. Everything else such as the rooms and meals were normal 3 star standard that ive found everywhere else.Prices of everthing were very expensive though example-a malibu and coke cost almost 5 euros and just 8 mins on internet cost 2 euros so we ended up spending a lot of money on this holiday.Staff were mostly nice and polite but younger staff were far nicer than the older ones. Our room was over the main entertainment and kitchen area so was noisy and you couldnt think of trying to sleep before 12.30 am. Pool areas were very busy and it was hard to get a bed sometimes. Resort very laid back and beach was nice but the sea shelved very quickly so not ideal for young children at all. Id reccomend this only for young families as there was plenty for children. Only 3 things would put me off revisiting -the location of the room ,the cost of everything and the mini zoo that was in a sorry state.

An excellent choice for familes with children. Good accomodation, very clean, tidy and suitable to meet the needs of every one. The rooms were of a good size all with balcony. Food was excellent with a good choice every night all seemed fresh and hot and plentful! Waiter service was prompt and was able to meet all our requirements. There was also a snack bar which was excellent for light snacks in the day.

The entertainment in the evening was good with a two week turnaround so you didnt see the same thing twice. The children loved the disco and games and the adult entertainment was also suitable for children especailly as they dont want to go to bed at 10.00! We never sampled the children clubs in the day, but they were available and semed to have lots of fun.

The pools and surrounding areas were impecably clean and well kept with a lifeguard. They were attractive and well kept as with all the areas at the hotel.

Staff were friendly and seemed like they wanted to be there and were enjoying themselves. The entertainment staff were bouncy and enthusiastic as were the reception staff who were happy to help.

The surrounding towns were worth a visit especailly Callella with great shops for gifts. There was local markets to visit too which are well worth a visit. If you wanted an active holiday with lots of trips out you could easyly find things to do, but its worth just relaxing in the hotel resort and using the beach.

Im not one to go back to the same resort twice but in this case i would. This is because of the hotels slick organisation,, friendly staff and excellent facilties. The holiday was a bit more expensive than what we would usually pay, but you only get what you pay for and in this case and excellent deal.

The Hotel is a 3 star which is about right, the rooms are very very basic and are the equivalent of a 2 star hotel.

Apart from that the food is good, plenty of selection, the hotel was full and we didnt have to queue once to get into the dining room.

The beach is not to good being shingle,it makes it hard to walk along, the location is average a good 10 min walk to Pineda which has a few shops and bars.

This hotel is great for kids and teenagers.

Fantastic holiday! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with great food and accommodation then visit the Golden Taurus Park! We visited in August 2008 for one week and didn't want to come away. The hotel and entertainment was more designed for young children, and the town had very little in terms of bars and restaurants, but a short ride to Callela offers a lot more. However, for a family there is everything that you will want at the hotel.

The Kids Club team looked amazing - we met them all at the "welcome meeting" and we saw how much the all the kids adored them at the evening entertaiment. However, we didn't have any children in our party, but if we did we would have no problems with leaving them in the capable hands of the Thomson team.

The only negative aspect we found of the holiday was the beach. Whilst it was only across the road from the hotel, it was very shingly and thus uncomfortable to walk on. Also, when entering the sea there suddenly became a sharp drop into very deep water and became very difficult to get out of for adults - let alone little children! However, we found that the swimming pools (there are a choice of 3 large pools) were more than enough to spend our week; everything we needed was around the pool - a snack bar, ice cream shop, toilets, showers - you name it it was there!

The Thomson team were great - especially Joey (who was definately a highlight of our stay at the hotel!!!). At the "welcome meeting" they introduced us to the hotel and all the facilities to offer, in addition to the day trips available to us. We were stuck between many to choose from, but eventually decided to visit MarineLand - a waterpark and mini zoo containing penguins, sea lions, dolphins and parrots. Also to offer in MarineLand was "The Dolphin Encounter" - although a bit pricy it was worth every euro as everyone involved gets to have a photo taken with one of the dolphins and everyone is able to train the dolphins and feed them fishy treats! A great family day out for all ages! The dolphin show and sea lion show are unmissable, and, if you have paid for "The Dolphin Encounter" you are able to sit in the executive seating area!

The food at the hotel was great - a lot of choice for all ages and even a vegetarian section, alongside a show cooking area which provides different options each night; chocolate fountains, steaks, gammon - anything you could ask for! Each night there was plenty of salad on offer alongside a wide selection of other foods, however, the highlight was definately desert - a variety of cakes and ice creams each night!

The evening entertianment was really good. From 7.45pm until 10pm was designed for the children, including gameshows and a mini disco. At 10pm the adult entertainment began, but all the acts involved the children too. However, the less interested children were able to go the mini club until 11.30pm where they played games and activities with all the Thomson team. However, to get a good seat for the entertainment you need to be there early - many people are there a good hour before any entertainment actually started.

All in all this was a fantastic holiday, especially for those with young children as there is plenty of entertainment day and night to keep them occupied - definately worth a visit!!!

A big thanks to all those at the Golden Taurus Park, you made our holiday so special!!

we have just returned from our holiday yesterday me my partner and 5year old daughter and we all really enjoyed it , there is so much for the kids to do in the hotel from 10 in the morning till half 11 at night there is the thompson run kids club which has 3 clubs aday for all the ages then theres the hotel run club in between that, there was games and activites all day long with 3 large pools to choose from all with a toodler sections, we never had any problem getting sunbeds out side the pools, as thers plenty for everyone, the food was lovley to although they serve alot of fish, as well a meat salads tonnes of fresh fruit and vegi food aswell there is a little childrens section with kids food to so if your not a fussy eater and like to try different food then then this is for you, also inbetween your half board meals there is a snack bar aswell which isnt to bad, the service around the hotel and in the bars and restaurant were very good too, you never had to move from your seats as drinks were brought to you, there isnt that much around the hotel but there is a local train that takes you from town to town and it is very cheap, only 6 euros return in to barcelona centre were you can do your own excursion and your own pace, (hotel price very expensive ) so if your confident traveling then i would recomend doing it your seld as you will sav a fortune, a lovley hotel would like to go back again some time hpe you enjoy .
