We have just got back from 11 nights at the hotel maritim and we loved the holiday overall but the hotel was defiently not as good as we expected!

The food was very poor with very limited choice the only good things were the salads so we ate out nearly every night. The bar is tiny and entertainment was awful, the rooms ar tiny but are cleaned everyday with new towels. there is a great area on the roof with 2 jacuzzis and lots of sunbeds. the location of the hotel was brilliant with bars clubs shops and restarants and the beach right next to it.

calella has hardley any british tourists and was mainly germans, french and spanish so u can get a little home sick, its great for a group of people or a family but not really for couples or the elderly.hope this was helpful

Hotel was kept very clean and tidy. Cleaners cleaned room and changed the towels every day. It was a very quiet hotel, so had a good night sleep everynight.

The food was ok most of the time. Apart from Salad there was nothing else suitable for Vegetarians. Not many british people at the hotel while we stayed here, so not many children for my son to get to know.

Entertainment every night but only lasted for about an hour the most, so not an awful lot to do in the evenings.

Overall, I would definately recommend this hotel for its location and cleanliness.

The Hotel was lovely and clean and the facilities were excellent. The staff were very helpful and generally very nice people.

The roof terrace and the indoor pool added a little extra as it gave you different options.

The only problem I had was the evening food was sometimes more suited to Spain and not British palates. The evening food was the only disappointment.

The hotel was very nice. Cleaned daily. The staff were pleasant and we were upgraded to a sea view. That was great as it was on the 6th floor looking onto the beach and out to sea. It was well worth the extra money if we had to pay for this view.

The only problem with this hotel is the entertainment. There was none. The shows were a man dancing around doing karate while slicing melons on a man from the audience, parrots doing tricks pulling cars and skateboards, a rubbish comedian telling jokes in Spanish and bingo being called out by the children in Spanish.

It was very strange that there was no one in the hotel in the evening. They must have gone to find entertainment elsewhere.

The resort was very nice and the shops were great. Two main roads of shops for about a mile.

There is a small train that takes you around the resort which takes about 45 minutes for around £1.50. Worth going on as you see what’s at the other end of the resort.

The train to Barcelona takes about an hour from the train station at the other end of Calella. Be prepared for buskers getting on and serenading you music from with karaoke machines or as we had on the return journey an old man playing the accordion.

Also begging mothers with babies are another problem on these trains. If you go to Blanes be prepared that the coastal train doesn't go to the beach area of Blanes. You have to get the bus into town from the station. I would go back again in the future to this hotel as the food was good and we did like the town.

Hotel Maritim was very clean and tidy. Our room wasn't particularly big but it was cleaned every day and we were given clean towels every day.

The room also had air conditioning which made the nights more comfortable.

The pool area was small and you had to be down early to get a sun bed, the pool itself was very clean.

The food was typical of a Spanish hotel. Most of the time you could find something to eat but there were plenty of eating places nearby.

The resort has plenty to offer in respect of nights out although some of the night clubs were quite expensive.
