This is a great resort for a family beach holiday, the sand and sea are both clean, there is also plenty of activities organised by the reps but beware they don’t seem to be able to cope with couples of a middle to older range.
St. Georges itself has a nice selection or restaurants and the usual gift shops, I would also avoid the on site restaurant if your a couple its massed produced school dinners, Corfu Plaza itself was clean friendly and the maid service excellent, be warned if it rains there is not a lot to do unless you hire a car, check out the trips on the front before you book any they are the same only cheaper, night shopping in Corfu town is excellent with lots of little market shops to explore and if you spend a day on the beach have a viagra sexy doughnut you never know he might dance for you to.

This was our first Super Family holiday, and we had a great time, our youngest had a brilliant time in the Creche where the team were friendly and helpful - although I did think it was slightly expensive but well worth it. Our eldest had great fun in the kids club. We also found being able to book them in for a couple of hours of an evening great. The entertainment team - Vicky & Flipper were brilliant during the day, not hassling you to join in if you didn’t want to.
The entertainment of any evening was great fun to for the children and the adults and it was good to know that once everything was finished there was no noise and the kids could just go to bed without being woken up. Didn’t find the apartments to great could have been cleaner. The village itself was OK, not a great selection of restaurants and they didn’t cater for Children very well, overall we had a great time.

The holiday was brilliant, the apartments were excellent the holiday reps were fab Vicki and flipper, there was plenty of trips Thomson provided through out the holiday which kept everyone entertained. The pool 10 out of 10. Restaurants and bars were awesome plenty of choice. The whole holiday was a success. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an enjoyable relaxing holiday.

The Corfu Plaza is certainly not a 4 star hotel – but don’t let that put you off. In typical Greek style, the star rating is completely different than in the UK. By adding facilities such as a washing line, soap in the bathroom and so on, they achieve 4 star.
However we had an excellent holiday and the resort is very good if you want a low key holiday with great food and lazy nights (some of the restaurants are very good and excellent value for money). We would recommend – the Balcony and El Bistro. We were surprised by the number of people that have been to this resort year after year (many of whom stayed at the same hotel each year). After staying there for two weeks, we can understand why as the resort was so friendly and we really enjoyed being there.
We stayed with Thompson and this year they have really clamped down on heath and safety. As result many of the activities are no longer available to the children during the day – such as volley ball in the pool. Though the heath and safety initiative is very good, it is a shame that Thompson did not come up with other safe activities to amuse the children!
So to help future potential visitors:
The Positives:
•Great location – 5 minutes and you are on the beach and 5 more and you are in the middle of the town
•Very family friendly (hotel and resort).
•No need for a car if you want a lazy holiday.
•Thompson super family does lay on a full entertainment package (though we attend the evening entertainments (a bit Hi De Hi for our taste).
•Good size pool and play areas.
•The AQUA PARK – nearly an hour away in a coach but worth every penny (we booked with COSMOS travel in the village and saved money).
The negatives.
•Hotel could really do with a refurb and is looking a bit tatty around the edges (bathrooms very tired, kitchens doors dropping, areas around the pool with broken tiles).
•Hotel reception staff grumpy!
•Pool bar very expensive (but nobody complained when you brought food / drinks down from the room).
•Not enough sun beds (resulting in 7:30 starts for many if you wanted a bed.
•Thompson trips overprices (you could book the same trips in the village and get much better process).
Would we recommend the resort - absolutely
Would we recommend the hotel - yes but with some reservations (think of it more of a 2/3 star and you would be ok).

Don’t be put off by the grumpy unhelpful reception staff as the apartments are excellent. The maid service is good and the apartments are large with good facilities.
I'm not sure why they provide televisions as there are no English language channels. The beach is one of the few sandy beaches on Corfu and is superb, especially if you have children. My family simply wanted to relax together so we didn’t use the pool or the super family service offered by the Thomson rep team, instead choosing to spend our days at the beach rather than at the pool.
The resort is quite small. There are souvenir shops but that’s about it. There are some nice restaurants and bars that cater for families and they have a variety of food for all tastes.
As I said the resort is small and is well suited to anyone simply wanting a quiet and relaxing holiday and is perfect for people with families. I would not hesitate to go back.

Fantastic!!! The apartments were basic but very spacious and very very clean.
The cleaners came every day and left the rooms spotless. This is a Thomson Superfamily and the entertainment staff were second to none - we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The children were entertained all day and there were also activities for the adults.
The resort is very quiet, but has enough restaurants for you to chose from and a few supermarkets. If you want a nice relaxing holiday, in pleasant surroundings - this is the place for you. If you are reading this, and have booked your holiday - I am jealous; you will have a fantastic time. If you are thinking of booking - don’t hesitate, just enjoy!!

Not the best hotel in the world. But that said it is very spacious. Great pool as well. The rooms are pretty basic but clean and tidy.
The location is the main feature. You are pretty much right on the beach. Walk out of the hotel and then there is Issos beach. A very long sandy Blue flag beach. You can easily find a quiet spot to sunbathe. The sea is lovely.
The watersports on offer are excellent in-particular the windsurfing at merman board sports. I learnt to windsurf in the very safe bay, I kept going back, highly recommended.
St George night life is ok, plenty of restaurants and bars.
