Thomas Bay Hotel is situated in the lovely village of San Stefanos,a quiet area of Corfu.A bit of a trek getting there but well worth it just for the scenery and the great expanse of beach and shallow waters.
The hotel is clean and well run by the staff. The rooms are adequate, bathrooms a bit cramped though, otherwise ok.
The staff really do care about their visitors and try to make everyone happy and relaxed.Always plenty of sunbeds and shades around the pool, and for those who like swimming a good sized pool to enjoy.
The continental breakfast is very frugal as noted by others,a choice of other cereals besides cornflakes would be nice, but cooked breakfasts are on offer if you pay for them.Evening meals can also be a bit hit and miss, but always served with such humour from Christos and other waiters.
Evening entertainment by the staff, bingo, quizes, and cabaret acts, plus greek dancing, not to be missed.
This hotel is popular because of its relaxed atmosphere and the care shown by the staff to all its clients. For a three star hotel it is very good value for money.

we have just come back from a holiday at Thomas Bay Hotel in corfu,we found both the hotel which was very clean, and the staff very good. The rooms where basic, but comfortable and cleaned on a daily basis. The Restaurant served Greek fare, but would do your other food if not to your liking.there was entertainment on most nights, with a well stocked bar,all in all a very good place to go on holiday.

Many thanks a million to Domini, hotel manager and wonderful, hard working staff and handsome waiters for making four of us, Carol, Terry (Hayes), Eddie and Janet (Ayton) for our wonderful holidays at Thomas Bay hotel for 11 days holiday. We enjoyed Greek culture, weather, lovely people and friendly local village people and lovely beaches and beautiful scenery of mountains, beaches, etc. It was our best holiday of the year. We got back home early this morning from sunny Corfu to raining Basingstoke. Many thanks to Thomson rep, Alison for giving us written information and Kappa Vita Travel lovely friendly lady, (sorry, forget her name) for booking our seven trips by coach and boat. We like the island of Paxos and Parga which have lovely clean beaches. I recommend to anyone that Corfu is really beautiful green island with mountains and stunning scenery of villages and beaches. We hope to return to San Stefanos for next holiday. Many thanks to Thomas Bay hotel lovely people for giving me a nice surprise on my birthday and lovely flowers from the cleaner, Elfi. Goodbye from four happy deaf friends, Carol, Terry, Janet and Eddie.

We first went to Thomas Bay 15 yrs ago and went there every year for next 10. We have since moved to Spain but went back 2yrs ago which meant flying to Uk first then to Corfu. I think that speaks for itself.

I booked this hotel as thought as it was graded 3 star gold by thomson that it would be above average.
hotel was clean and efficient. it is run by family who were always courteous but it did not feel sincere or geninue. it seemed that all they were interested in was making money and cutting corners. breakfast and dinner choice , quality and quanity was ver poor -in fact i have never had such a poor breakfast anywhere.
san stefanos os a lovely beach resort but hotel location can mean that it is noisy at night until about 1 am -ok if you are not looking for an early night. we walked to Arrilas - a neighbouring resort and stopped at a lovely new cafe overlooking both bays - it is a littlemore expensive but well worth it.
i would not recommend thomas bay hotel and was very disappointed.

We didn't have a great start of our holiday as my friend almost lost all her money and document and i wasn't so lucky eiter as someone who we dropt off in previous resorts took my luggage and i was left with theirs, but i have to say 1 hour after we woke up the next day everything was sorted and our holiday could finally beginn.
we just came back from 2 weeks holidays in san stefanos-thomas bay hotel-. I was there with my best friend and already after 1st day we have decided we will definitely come back next year with our families so they also can experience the little bit of absolute heaven.
The staff in this hotel is absolute amazing, they will make you feel like you belong to their little team. Their sence of humour is just wow!!!! Both Nico's, Christos, Dominik and everyone else who works there including the maids are the most hard working people, and lets face it you don't get enough of the hard work and enthusiasm to work in the UK.
The entertaiment in the Hotel is amazing too. there is Bingo, karaoke, quiz etc nights, but the best of all is the greek dance with fire, and ashtreys being thrown at the dancer, or around him. I think even those people who are very H&S coucious would enjoy it:-}. Oh btw. the restaurant Zorba has got very nice entertaiment too, absolute amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the last night of our holidays we have decided to enjoy ABBA in the Condor Bar. It was fabulous too, although the coctails weren't that strong, which is why after the show we left to our hotel and have enjoyed more drinks shots and coctails with the other hotel guests and the staff. I wouldn't change a single think about the way this hotel looks, where it is situated and the way the staff is managing it. I wish them all the best and hope they stay there forever. I am at home only for the past 4 hours and already missing it, and can't wait to come back next year.!!!!

Returning to San Stef. in 3 weeks time for yet another 2 weeks. It is a delightful, peacefull resort with excellent beach, country walks...everything you could wish for for a relaxing holiday.
This is our 2nd visit to the Thomas Bay Hotel..not the worlds best hotel I might add, but the best we have found in the resort so far (we tried the "nafsika" and the "athina" first)the Thomas Bay is a nice, friendly hotel though so if you like quiet resorts then you can't fail to have a good time

We recently chose Thomas Bay Hotel as the stay week of our Cruise and Stay with Thomson. It is advertised as exclusively for adults, however families were constantly in the bar area at night and running around the pool area all day.
The advertised "Continental" breakfast consisted of a small bowl of corn flakes (Mr Kellog had never seen these cornflakes)or Greek yoghurt and two slices of toast each with one pat of butter and one small packet of jam each EVERY DAY!
The frogs in the stream beside the hotel were so noisy that we got little sleep for them.
At dinner in the Hotel, this was hit and miss, often they did not have what they advertised on the menu, and did not seem at all bothered.
All in all we wished we had chosen a different hotel which catered for families as then we would have expected to be splashed and bumped into occasionally. Do not be fooled, Thomson may only send adults but the hotel allows anyone in.

We had 10 great days at this Hotel. ALL the staff were efficient, friendly and fun. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive about the meals; they were excellent! Choice of breakfast; for the evening meal - choice of 3 starters, 4 main meals, and normally about 5 desserts to choose from. We had a groundfloor room at the side, the room was very clean and the maids came in every day. Yes we could hear the frogs, but after a couple of nights we forgot about them, so not a problem. The resort was quiet while we were there, but was not a problem as the Hotel had entertainment on every night. There was a night club just down the road called the Condor which we went in every other night. We really enjoyed ourselves there. The pool was very clean and sufficient sunbeds etc. The beach is only about 10 mins away and is a nice sandy beach. There were cars parked on one area of the beach. Quite a lot of beach beds and parasols. Bus stop right outside the hotel. We would definately go back to this hotel. The couple we were with have already booked up for the end of September!

After 2 wonderful weeks in the " Thomas Bay Hotel ", sadly we had to return at the end of May 2009. For ourselves personally, to leave comments about this hotel - there is insufficient space.
My Fiancee & I are awaiting to book up immediately to return next May, I personally would return NOW ( Lorraine cannot get the time off work ) !!
Staff are Hilarious & courteous & helpfull beyond comprehension.
The ladies on the front desk are exceptional ( Heather - Nicos Snr`s wife & Eireni ) The latter carried my suitcase up two flights of stairs ( as i have a broken back ). These ladies are amazing & dealing with guests with Professionalism & courtesy.
Hotel is lovely & in a great location ( did not see 1 policeman in 2 weeks - that speaks volumes for the area & safety ). Great atmosphere, great staff & great evenings entertainment. ( The frogs in May offer an insight into the breeding patterns of their species & relax yourself, you do not even hear them ).
Lovely food & a wonderful cool swimming pool. which the barmen will bring your drinks to the surrounding sun lounges at no extra cost, great service.
Going on day trips etc, there are over the road from the Hotel independent booking offices which are cheaper than the Hotel reps - for the same day out.
The scenery is wonderful surrounding the Hotel, mountain ranges & blue skies, just Heaven.
Seriously looking forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE CONNECTED WITH THIS WONDERFUL HOTEL - A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN.
LES & LORRAINE.

I stayed at the Thomas Bay with my boyfriend in August 08. We are both 22. I was slightly worried about staying at the hotel and san stefanos in general after reading some negative reviews and comments that it was aimed at older travellers. I needn't have worried. The hotel was lovely, very clean (rooms cleaned to a high standard every day and pool area great with plenty of sunbeds). The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. I felt they really tried to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was great but dinner wasn't really to my taste. This wasn't too much of a problm as we just ate out at one of the affordable local restaraunts. One thing i will say is avoid town pizza. The pizza as that greasy the toppings slid straight off! The resort itself is fairly quiet, no nightclubs or very lively bars so i wouldnt recommend it for rowdy young groups. But for a relaxing romantic holiday it was great. I felt completely safe in the resort and everything i needed was at hand. The beach is fantastic with lots of sunbeds and a few bars/restaraunts. Not much in the way of kids activities so i would say this is more of an adults getaway.

The Thomas Bay is a great friendly hotel. The staff are extremely helpful, hard working and make you feel welcome, which is something that prompted us to return for our 2nd year. The hotel is very relaxed with a great pool and sunbed area, with waiter service throughout the day with a menu that is reasonably priced and varied. I would not rate this as a 3* hotel, the main reason for this is due to the rooms & food (half board). The rooms are a little cramped and in need of a revamp, however we never spent much time in it for that to bother us to much. On a plus side the rooms as with the rest of the hotel is kept very clean (the cleaners never stop and always have a smile for you). The food as mentioned in other reviews can be a hit or miss. The breakfast could do with some improvement, this down to lack of choice (cornflakes are not everone's favourite cereal) Evening meal was enjoyable but could do with improvement. On a few occasions we chose to eat out. We had a great meal at Ozzie Oil ( recomend the t-bone steak & white chocolate cheesecake but not on the same plate)& Waves restaurant on the beach is great for lunch or dinner. There are enough bars close by to vary the evenings however the hotel entertainment is okay & often funny due to tthe waiters having a great sense of humour. Even though there are a couple of things that I feel need improving it,s not putting us off returning again next year as it is just a great relaxed hotel with fantastic staff (this is priceless). The frogs can be a bit noisy, however a few beers sortss that out. Be sure to pack your mozi repelants, we used a plug in block for the room and Citronella Spray and also Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Spray, for some reason they don't like this. Hope you have just as good a time as we did.
George & Shell.
