Bella Napa Hotel

We stayed at the Bella Napa for 2 weeks in sept/oct 2003. The weather was great (at least 30 every day). We only had rain for about 4 hours one afternoon. The hotel itself is very clean (our room was cleaned every day - even when we slept in til late morning). There is very little entertainment but the square is only a 20min walk. The walk into town is lined with bars and restaurants (Highly recommend the Liquid Bar!!! AMAZING cocktails and waitress service!!!) We ate out every night. There are lots of different places to try and we didnt have a bad meal anywhere. We went off season yet the evenings still had a great atmosphere for young people (20s) but it was probably a bit more chilled and suited to couples as it was off peak. The hotel pool was not huge but big enough and was very quiet. Easy to get sunbeds and a nice setting to read a book. There was a pool bar which did good snacks. There are 2 other hotel pools very near by that you can also use which are bigger. There are 2 supermarkets 5 mins walk away. The water park is a bus ride or taxi but isnt far away and well worth a visit. The excursions were not very good though (avoid Nicosia). Be warned Cyprus is VERY expensive. Food, drink etc is more expensive than an up market bar in England! All in all the Bella Napa was a good choice - far enough from the square that it was quiet but close enough to walk. The staff spoke good english and we even got birthday cards from them!!
