Me and my new husband stayed at the Sunrise Beach for one week for our honeymoon and all I can say is the best holiday we have ever had. The hotel was immaculate and the staff were brilliant and would cater for your every need. The hotel is situated in an ideal location right on the strip and right on the beach and the beach is lovely. I loved the fact you got your sunbeds allocated on arrival what a good idea as you could come and go as you pleased. Had the most amazing time and will be back very soon.
Advice: Great for couples and families
Activities: The Love Boat pub and Cheers bar for food

Sorry this is a bit late but I just wanted to add a review for this Hotel. We (wife and I) went there in June 2006 for 2 weeks. We had an absolutely fabulous time at this very clean, confortable, friendly and well run hotel. I know that was 2 years ago but I was just surfing this site and saw the other reviews. Looks like nothing has changed.
The rooms are very well mainatined and the pool is first class, as is breakfast. The hotel has an excellent location and the main street is close but far enough away. We would love to go back this year but we have 7 week old twins so will have to hold for the future.
The only recommendation I would make is to not take them up on their "buy 7 evening meals for the price of 5 offer" when you get there. Not because there is anything wrong with the food (far from it), but because there are so many excellent restaurants locally. Especially the pizza place at the end of the drive way. Not to be missed.

We had a fabulous wedding at the hotel. However, we were not told about the 250 euros extra we had to pay to the hotel locally until we checked out! It has left us with a nasty memory, especially as the Manager was rude when we queried it.
Overall, it deserved a rating of 7.

The hotel is set down a slight incline right from the main strip in Protras. If you want a hotel that is right on the beach front and right on the door step of all the ammenities then look no further than this hotel. The hotel has a fantastic reception that stretches from to back of the hotel and has great views over the pool and beach. The room are of good size and kept very clean. We were staying on B&B basis which was enough as there are endless resturants around the resort to choose from, you wouldnt go in one twice. You have the option of sitting outside right by the pool area which is lovely but even at 8.am in the morning is very hot if its not under cover. The other good thing about this hotel is that your sunbeds are given to you on arrival so you dont need to go down and put towels out to secure you place!!. This works really well as you can go out for the day and know you beds will not be taken. There is huge area of greenery all round the side of the hotel which is where alot of the sundbeds are. At first arrival we were disappointed we werent around the pool , but after getting use to it it was great because it was alot cooler and quieter. If you ask they can see if they can move you if your not happy .
The beach is just a stone throw away, just a case of going through a gate from the hotel and your on it which is fantastic so you can go for a dip then go into the showers to wash off any sand and return to you sunbed!. There are lots of water sports right infront of the hotel and the staff are really friendly.
There is a family club through out the day which caters for the older children really but there is always something going on.
The only disappointing thing was the night time entertainment. We had a 7 year old and wanted to go to it at night. There was only about half an hour of dancing and that was it. Maybe because there was not alot of young children staying there so they didnt put on alot of entertainment but apart from that i couldnt fault the hotel.
The resort is great with lots of bars, shops and parks for the kids ranging from mini golf to go karting and lots of bouncy castles. There is also large trampolines which we loved. Bars have shows on at night aswell. Ayia napa isnt that far away 20 mins on the bus which is very lively for the young ones and water park there is great too. The bus stop again is right outside the hotel.
If you go in summer be aware it gets to 40d so very hot
To sumerise i loved this hotel and will be definatly returning in the near future.

Just arrived back had the most fab time, we used Aphrodite Weddings a lady called Nikki helped us and every thing was perfect the hotel was great they looked after us all there was only 6 of us but had a great time, many thanks to all. Please get in touch with Aphrodite weddings if you are thinking of getting amrried in Cyprus they think of everything and take all the stress away and leave you just to enjoy your special day. !! as we did.

had a lovely sunny hot holiday went 16th april for 7 nights (had a few afternoons interupted by work men in sunrise hotel getting ready for main season :( )
plus other hotels nearby getting ready to so expect lots of jcb's and drilling :(
and if you dont like packs of ferral cats --there everywhere
lots of bars and shops were shut but a few were open ------for sightseeing day out we went pathos--
a great hotel --very clean and a fab pool and lovely friendly staff and fab value buffets for breakfast and tea
be warned the euro wont get you much so food/beer.drinks out there very expensive next time
id go full board

This is the third year running that we stayed at the sunrise beach and we love it. The family rooms are really spacious and have four proper beds and this year they had been fully refurbished. The location is fab, right on the beach but also right in the centre of protaras but not too noisy. The allocated sunbeds was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel because i hate the early morning sunbed rush, with this system the same sunbeds are yours for the duration of your holiday, no one can take them and you can go down to the pool at what ever time of day you like and your beds are waiting for you, this also deters people from other hotels from hogging your pool. The breakfasts are really good with plenty of choice and freshly made pancakes and waffles and lots of fresh fruit. We don't use the restaurant at night as we like to eat out or go to ayia napa but we tried the a'la carte menu and found it to be good but quite expensive. this year was the first year the Reef bar opened and we enjoyed the bar meals from there as well. One little niggle i had this year though was that in previous years when you had finished reading a book there were tables on every floor that you put them on and swapped them with other guests, i read lots of good books that other people had left but this year the lady from the hotel shop swiped them all and sold them in the shop at their full prices...All in all this is a very good hotel with attentive staff and a great location and why it has lots of repeat guests.

Just arrived back from Sunrise Beach after getting married there. It was absolutely brilliant.
Weather was gorg red hot every day; hotel is beautiful nicest place I have ever stopped.
Got married at the Sunrise Beach and I would recommend it to everyone they couldn't have been more helpful had the best day of my life.
We had a wedding coordinator from Thomas Cook who sorted everything out for us and our wedding day was perfect. I have nothing to complain about everything was fab.
Breakfast was lovely even though we only had it about 4 times there were lots to choose from. Found the hotel quite expensive but if we went up on to the strip it was a lot cheaper.
One of the best pubs to go to is Teejay's it was a really friendly atmosphere with English waitresses and they had some good entertainment at night especially the singer Sammy she was fab.
Also the restaurant about Teejay's was lovely really nice food. Another good pub was the Love boat (got really busy in here) but was good. Blue Moon was a nice restaurant to go out and eat too.
All in all the best holiday I have ever had and will definitely go back!
