Enjoyed 2 weeks here in August, half board. Everything was as we expected, hot weather, friendly staff, good food, a quiet, relaxing holiday, an adequate room which was cleaned daily and towels and bed linen changed regularly. Great beach at the end of the garden, but you... more

Mimosa Hotel was fantastic. The two best features were the staff and the beach. There are only a small staff of about 12 people, all of who seem to enjoy their work and because of this created a friendly, relaxed but professional atmosphere. I broken my ankle on the... more

Beginning of June and the weather was dawn to dusk sun so got plenty of chances to use the pool which was never crowded but neither was the beach at the bottom of the garden. Having booked half board we were ready to go out for evening meals to sample the local restaurants... more

Excellent hotel, very clean & rooms cleaned everyday. Nothing was too much trouble here, we requested a ground floor room from Aspro-Thomas Cook due to my wife having mobility problems but this wasn't passed on to the hotel, within 10 minutes of arriving we were moved to a... more

Mimosa Beach is great for young couples and families. The rooms are cleaned every day and the hotel itself is very clean in general. The pool is a good size and the bar snacks are quite good for lunch, plenty of choice. The beach is 30 seconds from the pool and is... more

I stayed with the family at Mimosa during the beginning of July; therefore quiet due to the children had not left school yet. I felt this Hotel is more for couples or people who fancy a relaxing holiday! The poolside is peaceful with no music and a great part is that... more

The Mimosa is just fantastic! If you want a chilled out holiday with the beach right on your doorstep, then this is the place to be. The rooms are spotless, the food is great and Linda, Eugene and their staff come 10/10 on the hospitality scale. I would advise anyone to get... more

Perfect Chill Out
My daughter and myself have recently returned from a wonderful week spent at the Mimosa Beach. We eagerly returned to Cyprus with fond memories of the best holiday we'd ever had which was back in 1999. We chose this hotel because of it's beach side location and easy access to the nightlife in Protaras and Agia Napa. When the coach dropped us off we felt so lucky as it was quite obviously the prettiest hotel we had ever stayed in. The brochure really didn't do it justice although we had found some lovely photos online which proved... more
Peace & Quiet
I stayed at the Mimosa for a week in October, and wanted a cheap break with guaranteed sunshine - I got both. I would recommend this hotel to older guests or those looking for the peace and quiet. It's set away from any bars and restaurants and is mid way between Protaras and Ayia Napa (both accessible for .80c by bus). The beach is far from great, it's small and looks man-made and although it's a sandy beach it's also stony. The pool area is nice and the pool bar offers lunchtime food and stays open until late. The... more
Spot on
This place is a must. If you want to go to A Napa Stay in A Napa. If yo want to stay in Protras stay there both with bars night clubs and cost £3.50 / £5..00 each way for a taxi. This Mimosa is a gem not often ever seen these days in the world. A family run hotel where they care. Single ladies can stay there with out fear of getting harrassed. A holiday there is worth 4 weeks elsewhere. Safe and secure. Great food, barman Stellios good, room cleaning ladies great. No idea about any apartments they must be somewhere else.... more
A great holiday
What a great place to stay, so relaxing with a "family run "feeling ! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were so friendly, food was delicious and reasonably priced, the beach only a two minute walk from the apartments. I think the location was perfect, a 30 minute or so walk to Protaras (check-out Americanos no.2 for a great Meze!) and a 15 minute taxi ride to Ayia Napa (check out Marquis de Napa restaurant) Great for families with kiddies or as a relaxing holiday for us "oldies" We will certainly re-visit! To crown it all... more
Overrated
We stayed at the Mimosa Beach Apartments for 2 weeks from 29th July 2007. We were most disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartments and the dated decor and furnishings. We would only rate the apartments as 2 star at the highest. Due to the distance from the Mimosa to Protaras it meant we used a lot of taxis, this became very expensive and it cost us about £160 over the 2 weeks. You can catch a bus,but they are not regular. We would highly recommend Protaras, as a holiday destination, but would not recommend the Mimosa Beach... more
Relaxing Mimosa
This was our first visit to the Mimosa Beach Hotel. There were 4 of us two adults two kids 14 & 16. The rooms were nicely air conditioned and cleaned every day. Having read the reviews prior to booking this was exactly what I'd expected. The facilities are nicely maintained, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. We went between 04/07 and 18/07 and it was 36c+ most days. The pool was clean, the loungers (on the grass were the best) were plentiful and comfortable and free (you only pay if you go on the beach). The beach was small... more
Relaxing & Beautiful
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Mimosa for 2 weeks in begining of July 2007. It was our first time on holiday with each other and we couldnt have picked a better place. The hotel was beautiful VERY clean and rooms basic. Our room had a super sea view. We stayed at half board basis and the food was delicious ever night. The hotel is a bit away from protaras (about half hour walk) But there is a bus stop just up the road from mimosa and it is only 80cent to protaras or 90cent to Ayia Napa. Taxi are 4.50 to protaras and... more
Just like returning home
We returned here for the 4th year running and as usual the service and care was 100%. Its the perfect place to unwind - in a quiet location, but near enough to Protaras if you want the night life and shops. Our grand daughter was born while we were away and our daughter emailed pictures to the hotel and they very kindly copied them and laminated them for us. Its a family run hotel and you feel like one of the family. The food is excellent andvaried. The whole place is kept very clean and tidy. Can't wait for next year!
The nicest hotel in Cyprus
We went to Cyprus for a week in the half term holiday. Our party consisted of me, my husband, ma tenn daughter and young daughter and son. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. The pool is just about big enough and was almost empty all the time we were there. Not surprising seeing as the beach is about 10 steps away. Its is a beautiful beach with a great number of small in the clear blue water perfect for snorkling. The actual body of water is surrounded nearly all the way round apart from a small gap about 2 meters wide which leads out... more
stranded
we arrived at the mimosa to a very friendly and helpful receptionist and our room was very nice having two small children the hotel was great during the day with a small but great beach and the pools were clean. The evenings were a dissapointment with entertainment only three times a week and not even a bar localy and the hotel were aware of this and take advantage when pricing their drinks so a night in protaras is cheaper including taxi fares a lovely hotel but make sure you take enough money for nights out because you will be bored if you... more
