What a fantastic hotel. We went with friends to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and while we were there, we watched couples have their wedding ceremonies. The staff really made it special for them and the location is stunning - siituated right on the beach. Beach towells & sunbed matresses are provided. The pool and surrounding areas are spotless. The rooms are spacious and spotless and fresh fruit is in your room upon arrival. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was varied and plenty of it. It's 4/5 star rating is spot on. If we had a downside, it would be that the entertainment isn't that good, but we didn't let this deter us and would definitely book again at this wonderful hotel and have recommended it to others.

The most amazing hotel I've been to. What a beautiful hotel and great facilities.
The bar staff were really funny and great. The entertainment was fantastic and they even did a pool fire show that was very exciting and got you to the edge of your seat with eyes wide open, great people and they used to perform in London.
The food was probably 7/10 but wasn't awful but a tiny bit repetitive.
The swimming pool was massive as there was an indoor one, freezing, an outdoor one, quite warm, and the sea!!
A short walk along the beach ends you up at a little port house were you could hire a jet ski or a peddle boat, i would recommend to do that..when the sea is calm.
loved the stay would definitely return for 2 weeks this time.

What a fantastic holiday! My boyfriend and I had a 2 week all inclusive holiday to Protaras, Cyprus staying at the Golden Coast Hotel.
We were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel with the exception of the food, which wasn't a major bad point just not as good as expected. It was quite repetitive and not much choice if you are veggie/pregnant/special diets. However, the staff are all very friendly, the rooms are very clean and kept clean to a high standard and the facilities are unbeatable!
The air conditioning in the rooms was not what we would call air con, more like a fan and didn't keep you cool at all. We were told it was because of the heat wave and the system couldn't cope with it.
The outdoor pool tends to get quite warm later in the afternoons but the indoor pool really does cool you off if you're in need of it (which we were as the temperature hit a whopping 45 degrees)!
There are supermarkets and shops nearby catering for all your needs and Protaras' main town is a short taxi journey (approximately 8-9 mins) which costs very little (Cypriot £4 - very reasonable)! You are spoilt for choice with the variety of shops (and a McDonalds)!
Hiring a car is a must - Cyprus really is a beautiful place and if you're there, you need to see it. We hired a car, just for 3 days, but we are so very glad we did. However, make sure you get one with air con as we didn't! We had a soft top but with the roof down, it's like sitting in front of a giant sized hair dryer!
We would definitely recommend this hotel and holiday and anyone considering it as it was without a doubt the best holiday we have been on. We wouldn't hesitate to go back as we had such a fantastic time - hope you do too!

My husband and i got married here last year in the white chapel and could not wish for a better day or 2 weeks.
The staff were excellent alsong with the entertainment team. The food is fab and the facilities always spotless.
However i would warn people - the laundry costs are out of this world, so if you can cope without washing for your hols, then you're sorted!

There were 4 of us that were all inclusive. The hotel staff are friendly especially the restaurant and bar staff. Being all inclusive we found the food to be cold and repetitive. The same food seemed to be served every other day so you became a bit tired of the choices. The restaurant and bar staff are very efficient and helpful ensuring they are meeting your every need and wait hand on foot for their guests.
Managers greet you to ensure the hotel is running to your expectations. Being all inclusive was well worth it but the only downside was that the food was repetitive but there was a choice of children’s foods too! The rooms were always clean and well presented and the housekeeping staff were also friendly.
The hotels location is a little bit far out of the main centre where all the clubs, bars and restaurants are but a short taxi journey of 5 or 10 minutes soon gets you there! A very good holiday and we will definitely be going back again very soon!

Absolutely marvellous, wonderful in every way. My husband and I return every two years and would not stay anywhere else. From the food to the entertainment, brilliant.
I recommend this to everybody. who is thinking of travelling to Cyprus. I would also travel here alone as I feel completely safe, it is like a home from home.

I totally agree with the other reviews for this hotel, the staff were very polite and helpful. We took 2 teenagers with us who loved it, the English entertainers are lovely and full of energy, they even had me playing darts which I never normally do!
The beach is very nice but not too great for snorkelling as not many fish that I could see, there is also a spa offering a discounted treatment daily. Although the food is of a good standard, we ate out once in Protaras, as the craving for something different does get to you after some time.
I would definitely return to this hotel, but off to Halkidiki first!

We took a Price breaker on the all inclusive in Cyprus for a week, we could have got this one or the Sungarden in Ayia Napa. As we are 26 and 24 we initially would’ve preferred Ayia Napa as it would’ve been close to the centre for nightlife etc. However, the Golden Coast is an excellent hotel. Everything is spotlessly clean from the reception to the rooms. The room we got had a half sea view as it is in 2 buildings. Everything we wanted in the room was there. Satellite TV, balcony, bath, safe (only £1 per day) and got fruit an wine on arrival.
Location - it is a little bit out of the way of the centre of Protaras and you will need to get a bus into the centre, easily a 30 minute walk, and is in the small town of Pernera. The Hotel is right on the beach.
All Inclusive - the only down side, is the food at meals. At the start of the week the meals are lovely, served in a buffet style. As much salad, soup and main course as you can eat. The mains are stuff like lamb and pork chops, potatoes, veg, pastas and other dishes. Then there is as much fruit as you can eat and cakes.
However toward the end of the week the meals seemed to get a bit repetitive and had the same taste even though they were different dishes. We went out on the last 2 nights to a restaurant 15mins away in Pernera. Its not that the meals aren’t nice I just wouldn’t like to eat them constantly for 2 weeks. The breakfasts are spot on though, again buffet style but english fry ups this time. The drinks are spot on and as long as you don’t ask for branded spirits you'll spend nothing. Water is all inclusive too. You get free sun beds but then you have to pay if you go the beach.
Evening Entertainment is a group of friendly English girls who I must admit try their hardest and hardly stop all day. They'll play beach volleyball, football and water polo and their show on a night is excellent.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel only eat out now and again.

2nd time Staying at the Golden Coast on all Inclusive Basis.
Also stayed at this hotel in 2000 and had our wedding here.
Good Points: Just as I remembered, beautiful location right on the beach, friendly staff, lovely pool - met some fantastic people, short walk on beach to Perena. Carvery Night in the hotel was great, some delicious deserts
Bad Points: Repetitive Food, Entertainment was rubbish.
Hotel getting refurbished in the 2005 Closed Season. Will probably go back for our 10th Anniversary.

Having never been to this part of Greece before I was a little unsure of what it would be like. It was fantastic, the transfer from the airport in Athens was a bit long and tedious but well worth it.
The hotel was brilliant, there is a main bolck with reception and bars etc. and also smaller 3 storey blocks which housed more rooms. The rooms where a good size and well furnished, with a nice bathroom. The pools are clean and well laid out with plenty of room for everyone. The entertainment team were very well organised and friendly we keep in touch withy many of them.
All the staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for us. The choice of food was excellent and the service was second to none. The small town was very Greek and not too far to walk, we enjoyed strolling around.
The beach is great, very clean and stretching for miles. The sea is nice and shallow ideal for children. We would love to go again but can't find anyone who sells this hotel anymore. Very disappointed. If you usually go to the Greek islands give the mainland a try, see a little of the real Greece

My wife and I were married at this beautiful resort. The views are amazing the accommodation excellent and the weather was stunning. The golden coast boasts some great facilities, from the great swimming pool and tennis courts to the indoor gym and health club, you won’t find yourselves sitting and twiddling your thumbs as there is always something to do.
The staff are friendly and are always willing to help with any problems you may have. My recommendation as far as the accommodation is concerned is to try and get a sea view room as the views of the sea are amazing.
We are certainly going back there again, in fact we are going this year for our anniversary we hope to see you there. Bye bye, see you soon.

Wow what a hotel, right on the beach and all we could ask for . The rooms are beautifully done out and the huge reception area gives a real feeling of comfort and luxury. We were on all inclusive and really could not fault the food, all meals were buffet style although you could eat a la carte for a small supplement, we did this on 2 occasions and had steak cooked at out table. The pool area was spotless and ample sun beds for all guests. A nice wedding chapel is on site and was very exciting when a wedding was on. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. A lovely beauty place on site was a real bonus was you could have your hair done or a manicure as well as several treatments. Nice sauna/Jacuzzi area. Definitely would recommend.

This is a wonderful hotel with a great location. The pool is lovely and one of the best I have ever come across.
The grounds are absolutely superb.
The rooms are quite roomy and the sea views are stunning.
I would definitely come back here again.
The one down side is the food. It is not that the hotel does bad food (I'd say it is average), just that you really would be missing out on so much if you ate in the hotel every night instead of trying out some of the delicious local cuisine.
Everything from just a pork chop (the grow some pigs in Cyprus) to a full meze can be ordered for next to no money along with a few glasses of Filfar!
