Faultless Location, The Best Hotel Ever from sevi82
My boyfriend and I recently came back from staying at the Alva for a week. Its probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I booked a studio apartment through my travel agent but emailed the hotel directly to upgrade us to a 1 bed apartment - this was done no problem. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the maid didn't come in unless you were out of the room. When we first arrived we found a selection of food and drink in our room which we could opt to keep or give back - it meant we didn't have to shop for it and was very useful... more
Alva great apartments from sboult3
Stayed at the alva apartments for one week, we had a studio it was booked through thomsons the studio was spacious and spotlessly clean, it was basic and we have stayed in worse. Never used pool went to beach it is just across the road. I emailed the alva and requested the third floor with sea view, this was done for us and the view was lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful the reception area was nice. Overall the apartments were lovely and we will go back next year.

Me and my girlfriend have been back home for a week after staying at the Alva. We are both 22 years old and wanted a quiet hotel with the bars etc near. The Alva's position is excellent Fig Tree Bay is just a couple of mins walk away, which is so worth a visit, we have travelled to various Greek islands, Balerics & Canarie Islands between us and it is the cleanest, nicest beaxh we have wver been to!! great apartments in a great position from acinorev
We have not long come back from Protaras -it was great - 10 days of sunshine. We'd been before 4 years ago and stayed at the sandra apartments which are just up a few bars away from the Alva. I'd say the Alva and Sandra apts were just as good as each other. They are both in a great spot in the resort. Everything you need is there! We found our apt at the alva clean and tidy and with a great view of the pool and the sea. The service at the alva was great - from reception to the pool bar staff. we used to get a good value for money... more

9/10 My boyfriend and I stayed at the Alva last week and it was great! We are both in our 20's and booked the Alva in Protaras because it was in a lively area with plenty to do. The weather was in the late 90's so very hot but just what we wanted, if you venture to the gorgeous Fig Tree Bay you may want to hire a parassol as we got burn both times we went there!! My boyfriend and i have only recently returned from a weeks stay in the Alva apartments in protaras.The reception ares which greets u is quite modern very clean and tidy and the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially as we arrived at 4.30am. We visited the Alva in May 2007. Apart from the 3 days of rain, we really enjoyed our holiday. The Alva is very clean and the staff are so nice. We didn't eat much at the hotel as there are so many other places to eat out, and there wasn't much entertainment so we went somewhere different each night. We hired a car from Champion car rental which we would recommend and they were much cheaper than anywhere else. Basic but clean and tidy appartments, well located, close to Fig Tree Bay, and pretty handy for lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. The kids (6 & 3) loved it, spend hours idling by the pool or splashing in the very clean sea at the very clean beach. If you want to be critical then the hotel entertainment is a little variable (although the Elvis has to be seen....), the restaurant could do with a few more local dishes, although it's very busy and attracts a lot of locals and the 500 metre walk back from the beach can be exhausting... more

The Airport in cyprus is the worst in the world we waited for over an hour for our bags when we got to the hotel we were checked in quickly, the room was basic but nice. The entertainment at the pub was 1 barman playing reggae tunes and a pool table with 8 red balls and 6 yellow Food was cold and expensive we ate there once in the evening, they start with a stale bread roll heated up in the microwave then the main course which will always include hard carrot balls! the best place to go is called diva's just down the road the chef... more
