Stayed in Santa Lucia in week 37 - we had wonderful weather. Breakfast was so and so, but it did it's job. Good idea is to bring your own fruit, tomatoes or whatever makes you happy.
The room was small, but nice. Bathroom with shower was perfect and everything worked. Very small balcony with only one chair and no table. We made it work bringing a chair and a small table we found. View was perfect overlooking the mountains and the sea. Cleaning was SPOT ON.
Pool and beach was great - hurry up going to the beach if you want to be in time to get a sunbed.
Loved the walk from the hotel to centre of Cefalu.
I will go again any time.

Stayed at the Santa Lucia in August. Excellent base for touring Sicily. Pleasant walk to Cefalu along sea-side promenade.
Free Sun lounger on beach and pool. Sometimes busy, but can normally find space at one or other.
Food was excellent, waiters were helpful and friendly. Children’s entertainment was poor in comparison to other Airtours run fun clubs, but did not effect holiday enjoyment
Room was excellent, shower broke and was quickly repaired with no fuss.
Good facilities, would definitely go back!

I went on this holiday full of doubt, I am not one to go abroad, due to a few not so good holidays in Spain, but my wife insisted, and I am very glad she did. It is such a lovely town, and the hotel and staff were excellent. Even the worst thunder storm I have ever seen, was fantastic, it only lasted a few hrs, and then back to sunshine. I am going back in August 2007, and am looking forward to it.

If you would like lukewarm, indifferent food; rude and unhelpful management; 3 groups of screaming, shouting schoolchildren who didn’t go to bed till after midnight; then this is the hotel for you.

The heating is switched off on the 1st of April. When the temperature on the 10th April was 11 degrees C and we returned cold and wet from an excursion, we requested the use of the heater in our room. This was brusquely refused. The public rooms were cold and draughty and we spent our evenings huddled on the bed under the blankets.
It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

This lovely 3 star hotel is worth the stay. The amenities are very good, in fact, excellent for a 3 star hotel. My son and I enjoyed the freshwater pool and the small beach, both with lifeguards. The terraces afford spectacular vies of the sea and Cefalu, an Arab-Norman town to the right of the bay. The hotel is family run and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The highlight of the hotel in the hot afternoons was the cafe/bar with its superb gelato, pastries and snacks. Best buys for the afternoon heat are the ice creams, which are out of this world! Great coffee for 1 Euro only.
We stayed on a half board basis and were overfed! The food was fine, but not perfect. But then for mass catering it was very good. Our room had own balcony with beautiful views over the sea and to Cefalu. There is remote controlled air conditioning, which is a MUST for the summer heat.
Newmarket Holidays supplied a helpful and knowledgeable tour guide who accompanied us to Agrigento and the Temple of Valleys. This is a wonderful outing and well worth the visit despite the afternoon heat. Take a hat, sunglasses and plenty of water to drink!
I would recommend this holiday to out of school holidays visitors. We are going back next year!

What a disappointment of a holiday. We went with our two children and there was nothing for them at all. The local 'entertainment' team seemed more interested in entertaining themselves. Everyday it was the same format. Aerobics by the pool, aqua aerobics and a game of darts or throwing a ball in a bucket. If you were by the pool the entertainment team hassled you to try and get you to do the aerobics. If your answer was no then you were asked, "Why not?" Everyday and night they play the same CD which resulted in us hearing 'Hey Baby' by DJ Otzi up to five times a day. The lifeguard also seemed to be more interested in dancing and blowing his whistle than anything else. Also be aware that if you are off your sunbed for more than 15 minutes you will be interrogated as to why it is not in use. To get your attention for the questioning you will be whistled at by the 'lifeguard'and one of the 'entertainment' team. The childrens club consisted of some colouring whilst the girls who were supposed to be entertaining chatted. Food was edible but thats about it. Hotel is quite a way from Cefalu town.
