Be warned, this is a long review, but hopefully will help! As for the reviewer below, I am not sure they went to the same hotel. Unless you are an all inclusive, nothing is free (even then you have paid for your so called 'free' drinks. Why would you get a free drink with... more

This was such a disapointing holiday. The hotel staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful they were abrupt and the bar staff were impatient and dismissive. The room was dirty, the bath had a yellow tinge, the bedsheets were old and worn. The food made us feel ill. There was... more

I found the St. George to be warm, friendly and very good value for money. In the two weeks we stayed there we never had one issue. The food was fantastic and all the staff made our stay a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Jana, one of the drinks servers who made our... more

The Hotel was kept verty clean, and the staff were very pleasant. However the noise was terrible from the entertainment centre below all bedrooms, and it went on until 11.30pm. The swimming pool was over run with air beds for adults, There is no pool attendant. If you get... more

This hotel is supposed to be a Thomson Platinum, it is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. Beware, if you are vegetarian this hotel cannot cater for you and the staff could not care less. The response was to shrug their shoulders and say tough. We paid £2,000 for a... more

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We had upgraded to a larger room, which was very basic, certainly not a 5* only 3*, although we did have a sea view - just and were in the room on the reception floor but also next to the Premier Club, so early nights were... more

Facilities seemed OK
My wife and I stayed here for a few days 20th-23rd January. Most of the complex was closed down which was fine. During the summer it would seem that it caters for all the family. When we were there it was full of pensioners (I am not complaining. just pointing out to younger people if looking for a more hip place). It was fine for us as there was no noise and you could relax. The food was good and they had a good selection. Entertainment was geared for the older people. Lounge music etc. Again fine for us but... more

Weather was beautiful for that time of year, Would diffinately go again, good value for money more
very nice
we stayed at the st george on dec 2 -9 06. the hotel was very plush, supposed to be a 5*, but dont think so, more like 3-4*, dont get me wrong, the whole experience was really good, it was nice to be able to dress up a bit for evening meals and the like. The rooms were lovely,we had the best view anybody could have wanted, overlooking the sea, pool, the rest of the hotel, there was a nice touch in the rooms, bottle of wine and fruit and slippers and robe, which was nice. very, very clean.the reason i thought it wasnt a 5* was, we went to a 5*... more
A Tale of Two Hotels
We have just returned from a two week visit to the hotel, on a half board basis and had a very enjoyable holiday. The overall standard of the hotel was good but it seemed to have two faces - the public areas and the private ones (the bedrooms). In terms of facilities, it certainly warrants its 4 star rating, with a great pool, smashing access to a beach, kept relatively calm by a breakwater and much better than other hotels in the area. There were plenty of sunbeds available but this was the middle of October and I could see how... more
Honeymoon Heaven
We returned from our honeymoon on 25th September from Hotel St. George. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitley return. The staff were very attentive to your needs, very friendly and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel room was clean and comfortable with a great sea veiw. We enjoyed the sunsets every evening while getting ready to go down to dinner. The food in the hotel has an excellent range of choice to satisy every taste bud. My husband did however overhear a lady stating there is... more
Good to relax
My wife and i stayed here late September, our initial impression was one of rather grand communial areas with sweeping marble staicases and large sofas dotted around. Our room was of a decent size with wood flooring (which based on the amount of hotel rooms where the carpets smell of feet seemed an excellent idea). Our view from the balcony was just trees as we were positioned to the side of the hotel. The maid service was very good, the room was fully cleaned and made up daily, not just 'touched up'. The indoor pool was rather... more
Great Holiday
We stayed at the Hotel St George in July 2006 and were really bowled over by it. What a fantastic hotel!!! We could not fault it in any way. Everything was just perfect for a very relaxing holiday. great food, excellent standard of accommodation, very polite staff (we were invited to a cocktail welcome meeting with the hotel management). We are saving up to go back as soon as we can. well done to the management and staff at the hotel you are doing an excellent job. 10 out of 10. more
Nice Beach
Nice safe man made beach. Food disappointing. Staff very attentive. Hotel very clean. Rules of Hotel pretty much ignored, Sun Beds reserved with towels around pool, towels etc. drying over balconies, dress code ignored. Transport required to get into Paphos. Taxi's were £5 cypriot to Paphos or Coral Bay. Local buses run frequently. Best local night life Coral Bay with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We had a good relaxing Holiday. more
Good hotel - enjoyed our stay
Stayed here on a late deal -allocation on arrival .For the price we paid it was good value for money. The rooms are of a good size and standard - biggest beds I have ever seen and the interconnecting rooms helped to expand the space.Cleanliness in the hotel and staff were of a high standard. Ignore the 'rules' displayed in the in room guide .e.g No towels on sunbeds before 9.30 - you struggle to find a sunbed near the pool at 7.30.There are two internet PC's but one didn't work at all and the other kept breaking down. so kids were... more
Loved the St George
Stayed at the St George Gardens Apartments, part of the Hotel St George complex in June. booked a late, self catering, named deal with Direct holidays. The apartments are excellent, very spacious with loads of storage space. Excellent maid service six days per week. Fruit and wine welcome pack, free toilettries and pool towels are provided, together with full size TV's in both the lounge and bedroom if you have the time or inclination! We usually book self catering as we like to try local restaurants but the food was so good in both the... more
