This hotel is only available to Thomson Platinum bookings so we knew we were in for a better class of package holiday before we even left the airport!
The hotel is about halfway between Coral Bay and Paphos Harbour and has its own private beach, although the sea is very rough and there’s no official lifeguard.
The hotel staff are all amazing and really helpful, we were able to move rooms without any fuss whatsoever and even got a free bottle of champagne!
The rooms are spacious and well equipped, all have aircon and a fridge. We had a fantastic double sized balcony with an amazing sea view.
We ate in the main restaurant every evening, where there was a choice of 5-6 buffet options every night. We stayed for 2 weeks and I can't remember a single repeat of a meal on the menu. The salads were very varied and filling and the deserts were out of this world. Our waiter Andreas treated us like royalty (well we were on our honeymoon!) and there were a few complimentary bottles of wine.
The hotel has 2 pools and the outdoor one has a swim up pool bar so you can float on your lilo sipping a cool Mai-Tai.
There are hundreds of sunloungers; around the pool, on the lawns and also on the beach and there is waiter service in all these areas. They even have a branch of Pizza Express!
All in all this holiday was perfect, I’ve docked a point due to us having to change rooms, but other than that it was the best holiday I’ve ever had.

I travelled to Cyprus with my partner as a last minute allocation on arrival deal. Although this hotel wasn’t the one, which we had hoped for, it was not at all disappointing. The pool was impressive and always had numerous loungers. The beach, although small, was pretty but swimming is only recommended for strong swimmers due to the strong currents. The first room we got was ok but not a good view so we paid a small fee to upgrade to a sea view which gave lovely views over the pool area and beach-well worth the money! The food was variable, fairly good selection and generally good although not always piping hot.

We spent 2 weeks last summer in one of the best rooms that we have ever had while on holiday abroad and we have been a few places!
We spent a little bit extra on getting a suite, which was outstanding with fantastic views. Food was very good with plenty of variety on offer. Entertainment good with plenty of different things going on in different areas of hotel both indoors and out.. The foyer of the hotel is gorgeous and you can see why many couples choose to have their wedding receptions in here!
We may go back for our 25th anniversary !! The beach bar overlooking the sea is a totally relaxing place to sit and have lunch or an evening drink and the bar staff there very very friendly. I would give the St George 9/10 excellent !!
