Just 1 week at the King Jason left us wanting more, it must be the first time we have stayed anywhere and not had anything to grumble about.

The staff were all excellent, the rooms great and the whole place superb, definitely worth the awards they have on display - you can be sure many more will follow if our experience is anything to go by.

We hired a car from the company over the road, managed to get it for £10 a day all in, and so didn't have to rely on the local bus or shanks pony, well worth it.

There are plenty of organised trips and tours to choose from, we went out to a show on the Monday - Simply Spectacular - a great evening and well worth the money.

A Trip to Cairo for the day on Tuesday followed - a busy day with lots to see, escorted with an armed guard on the coach and a police escort everywhere we went gives fantastic peace of mind, saw the Cairo museum complete with Tutankhamen display, went to the pyramids, saw the sphinx and ignored the hawkers who hassle you all the way.

A trip up the Nile on a launch with a belly dancer for entertainment ended the day off nicely.

Friday we went on a Cyprus night complete with Meze and local entertainment.

As a non smoker, I wish that those that do want to smoke would do so outside - the tour operators, hoteliers and tavern owners should take this into consideration more in my opinion.

Overall, if anyone has the opportunity to stay at the King Jason - don't hesitate - you'll enjoy every part of your stay there!

Manager a real gentleman. All staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent apartments with just about everything you could need.

Situated about halfway between old town (market, bars, restaurants, shops etc) and harbour (more restaurants, bars etc). Good bus service each way, taxis plentiful and cheap.

Food at complex excellent value, but plenty of choice within walking distance. Pool, health club, sun loungers, bar and even shop at apts very well organised and well kept. Nothing too much trouble for anyone, including reps.

Best holiday we have enjoyed and already looking to book again only two days after coming back. Just wanted to relax after a busy year and that is exactly what we did.

Went on a late break to Cyprus...

Went on a late break to Cyprus on a Thomson price breakers deal (offer a choice of three locations). Having researched all three on the net, we would have been happy with any. I believe we 'aced' out with the King Jason.

The King Jason is located in a residential area 10 mins from the sea front, it has excellent facilities, good pool, plenty of sun beds, 2 sun decks, restaurant, shop (very competitive prices for foods etc.), kids play area, health suite, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, games room. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we received a free bottle of ouzo on arrival, a carafe of wine mid-week (very palatable it was too) and a small jar of honey on leaving.

We were self catering, the apartments were extremely spacious, well equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave, even washing -up liquid, drying towel, ironing board, iron all provided. The apartment was cleaned everyday and linen/towels changed 3 times during the 7 day stay.

Definitely recommend the King Jason to all as the place to go.

Never having been to Cyprus before, we were surprised by the scale of the resort of Paphos. They seem to be building all over the place. However we were not affected by any construction near the hotel.

Coral Bay has the best beach, a short 20min bus ride away.

Restaurants many and varied. Demokritos for good food and entertainment, located in the lively 'bar street' area Seagull excellent traditional family run establishment on the main drag. Aliona (Charleys Place) good barbeque. The Pelican at the Harbour, brilliant seafood (and two tame pelicans that wander around after the head waiter).

The poorest restaurant was the Marina, it had a lovely location on the seafront, but the service was slow and the staff sullen and unfriendly. The food was passable.

We went with Thomson and I must give Natalie the rep 10/10. Hire a car and go to Korion, the ruins are worth the £1 entrance free alone. Tombs of the Kings in Paphos is a 15 min stroll from the centre and again worth the entrance fee of £1. (Sundays you get in free). End Sept/Oct the temps were in the 80's not overbearingly hot, gentle sea breezes in the evening.

All in all a very pleasant first trip to Cyprus.

Me (21) and my boyfriend (22) have just returned home after spending two weeks at the King Jason apartments.

This was our 2nd visit to the resort of Paphos and we find it has everything we need - bars, restaurants, night life (but this can be easily avoided if not suitable) and the weather is never a let down. The King Jason apartments were perfect except the location was slightly out the centre which could be a bit of a pain! However I would certainly recommend the apartments to families with small children as the kids club and activities are ideal.

The management at the apartments deserve a lot of credit - they are always available and very friendly with gave a great atmosphere to the place. An effort was made to make guests feel welcome for example drinks on arrive, gift on departure and a cool cloth everyday at the pool to cool you down! Would recommend the King Jason to anyone old or young - fantastic holiday!

We just got back from King Jason's yesterday and I promised myself for the first time ever I would write a review. The other comments I had been keeping an eye on were spot on!

We had a fantastic holiday and the apartments had those extra touches. There were drinks on arrival then the porters took our luggage (we helped) to our apartments which were spacious, clean and well equipped, including hairdryer, iron, ironing board (wish I'd have known) microwave and other kitchen extras.

The beds and pillows were very comfy. Maid service was excellent and true to other reviews the manager and staff couldn’t do enough for you. There was Ouzo in the rooms on arrival followed by wine and on departure a pot of local jam. The Hotel was bigger than we thought and well placed, all shops and restaurants are really only 10 mins away! Any body that’s going is in for a lovely time. We will go back and I'm not one to do that.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Me (24) and my sister (26) stayed here for a chilled out week and had a great time. The hotel was occupied by families and couples. There is a great kids club which I heard the parents raving about. The hotel staff were very friendly in particular the helpful manager and the lovely night guard whom I had to call upon late one night when we realised we had locked ourselves out. The pool and sun lounger area is gorgeous, there’s a great free gym (which we looked at but we didn’t use!) and an indoor pool/Jacuzzi, also steam room and sauna for extra charge, air con in rooms was free.

We arrived to a bottle of Ouzo (not for the faint hearted!) and a few days later the cleaners left us a carafe of red wine, not fans of red wine we mixed this with orange juice and lemonade to make a Sangria, yum!

The hotel is set in a residential area therefore very quiet, it also gives you a taste of local life. A five minute walk leads you to restaurants 'a plenty and also bar street (its not as rowdy as Ayia Napa however we had a few great late nights here drinking and clubbing). The harbour, about a ten min walk features more restaurants, an old castle to look around and mosaics, also there is an adequate beach here. A ten minute cheap bus ride takes you to Coral Bay (a bigger, better beach)

This hotel has some lovely little touches, a four star worthy hotel.

We only stayed a couple of nights at the apartments as we booked an accommodation only option whilst travelling around Cyprus.

It is in a good position, close to a large restaurant on the main road to the left as you leave reception and about 10 minutes walking distance from Bar Street. (Out of the back of the apartment and across the dual carriageway and keep to the right of the bar opposite). It brings you out by the Sixties Bar and Alexanders Pub at the harbour end of Bar Street.

The apartments were spotless and had enough cutlery & crockery for 4 people including a toaster and mini oven. The beds were comfortable and the apartments were in a quiet location.

The staff were friendly and your luggage is taken to your room for you by a porter.

You can have buffet breakfast for Cy4.95pp and there is plenty to choose from including hot breakfast items.

Would we go again? Certainly!

I first went to the King Jason Apartments in January 2004, and found them to be fantastic. Loads to do, gorgeous food and friendly staff. The weather in January was warm, you could get away with wearing shorts and t-shirts but nothing less.

I decided to go back there last September, and take my boyfriend (who had never been abroad). I was really nervous because I didn't know what he'd think of it, but he loved it. The weather was a lot hotter. We hired a car and drove to Ayia Napa and Limassol, which were both nice places. We went on a trip into the Troodos mountains which was breathtaking. I had taken this trip in January 2004 when I visited, and the top of the mountains had been covered in snow, but it was so different in the summer.

The hotel staff were friendly, especially the manager. He remembered me from my last visit, which made me feel a bit special.

The food that was on offer was amazing. £8.95 for all you could eat (and there was plenty of choice for everyone, even kids and vegetarians). Although I went self catering, we did take this offer up a few times during our stay. Down in the town, the best place to eat we found was Othellos, with a Cyprus night on Friday nights.

All in all a great holiday, a great hotel. Wish I was still there. I will definitely visit again in the future (and I am not normally someone who visits the same place more than once, never mind more than twice!) Strongly recommend this for everyone, from kids to adults! Book it now!

Holiday was enjoyable, weather warm but not too hot, Paphos clearly a holiday centre still developing, building works all over. The hotel was excellent especially the manager and friendly staff. Clean and well kept, the outside areas and pool a pleasure, rooms nice and towel and sheet changes three times a week. Ate in the hotel once, food good and plentiful but did find better meals out. Recommend 'The Almond Tree' particularly although most of the others we tried were good. Except 'Baccus' in the harbour area. Recommend visitors to the King Jason to read the comments in the Thompson’s books in the hotel for best value.

Visits, Tomb of Kings at 75cents good value but not lot to see but a pleasant walk round. Coral Bay, nice beach but the toilets were the most disgusting we have ever seen. Baths of Aphrodite - forget it. Temple of Aphrodite 75c and worth a visit. Birthplace of Aphrodite free, just Rocks in the sea Basically but the best beach we saw, pebble but quiet and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Trudos Mountains startling scenery we took an organised tour wished we had driven. The tour guide was knowledgeable but talked incessantly. Limmasol is worth a visit if you need a break from just tourist shops and is a proper large town.

Hire cars are inexpensive but watch the catch they charge for a full tank of petrol - no refund and unless you drive all day you would be pushed to use it all, we hired for three days and returned with over half a tank.
