i thought the riudor hotel was fantastic ,the food was the best i have ever eaten in a hotel befor ,,it was very well presented and dare i say was almost too much choice ,the puddings were lovely well i had five diffrent ones some nights ,lol ,,the breakfast was out of this world...so much choice and well cooked ,,the rooms were very clean and very quiet also very comfortable clean beds,,the pool was busy and to be honest was quite full of a lot older people but being all adults was very relaxing .. i have stayed at other hotels and none have even come close to this hotel i was very impressed

Lovely Friendly Hotel

We spent one week at the Riudor from 22nd until the 29th September 2011. We arrived fairly early...I can't remember the exact time, but our flight from Gatwick was at 6:30AM, and our room was ready for us. We were on the 1st floor facing the front entrance, even though we were right on top of a couple of noisy bars, we were not kept awake. The air conditioning was excellent so there was no need to have the balcony doors open.
We paid for the all-inclusive option, which was well worth it for us even though we went out to other bars quite often. The food was very good with plenty of choice.
The pool area is a little on the small side and the pool is quite deep, we didn't have too much of a problem with sunbeds but there were several people who saved the best with their towels and disappeared for the best part of the day!
We walked to the old town (about half an hour) well worth doing. We got a number 12 bus to the Carrefore and Marina shopping centre near Finestrat...we weren't impressed and wouldn't bother again!
We visited Terra Mitica last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, unfortunately we didn't have time to return this year! We did make it to El Cisne, which is a boot sale/ flea Market on the way to Altea (number 10 bus, 1.30euros each way each). It's open on Saturdays & Sundays and I would strongly recommend a visit El Cisne has a wonderful bar and restaurant with live acts all afternoon, the atmosphere is amazing!
Be aware of a money exchange place called DOMO, it's on the same road as Las Ocas/ Pelicanas hotels, they are a rip off, they tried to charge us 35 euros commission on £200! My partner kicked up such a storm they had to give us back our £200 or they wouldn't have had any more gullible customers to rob! We found the indoor market, just passed the Las Ocas/ Pelicanas hotels, the best place to exchange cash.
I would definitely go back to the Riudor, I loved it there!

my husband and i have just arrived back from spending 2 weeks at the riudor
Ashleigh the rep was very helpful, always ready to help us ,and always had a smile
it was our first time in Benidorm and we loved it
a very nice room ,we were facing the Palladium and a couple of other pubs, but once you closed the patio doors at night we heard no noise at all
The food was excellent, plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner, couldn't fault anything.
Will definately go there again
the girls in the dining room could do with smiling some ,in 2 weeks they didn't smile at us once, you usually get to know the staff but not these girls

The Ruidor was clesn and had friendly staff the food was good quality but there was no variety and not a lot of choice chicken nuggets in an adults only Hotel and lots of fish . The evening entertainment was great Ashley worked really hard to ensure everyone enjoyed the evenings .

Really good hotel, me & my husband...

Really good hotel, me & my husband was there for 2 wks and my mother in law for 1 wk. We had no compliants with this hotel, my husband and I are young and we enjoyed the entertainment in the hotel. The hotel is located very close to the beach, and the nightlife around is 2nd to none. Once the window door was shut you never heard the noise outside. The food in the hotel is very good, as my husband is fussy and he enjoyed everything he ate. The only quirk we had was with the rep, they never told you enough about the hotel i.e TV, air con, day time food etc. I would visit this hotel again and there was no kids, so you could just relax around the pool, and sleep off the hangovers.

Just got back from two weeks in benidorm stayed at this hotel with 4 other friends. we are all of the age of 19 to 20 we had such a good time staying at this hotel the staff were so nice and friendly and made sure we were all right every night when we were going out and coming back in. the rooms were very clean and are a good size as there were 3 of us in there i thought there woulnt be much room but i was shocked at how much room there actually was. the food was good most nights but i only say tht as i am a fussy eater. there are plenty to try and the food it always hot. we didnt stay in to watch the intertainment as it was mostly for the older people and we usually wanted to go out into the square. i would say tht the hotel isnt suited to the young but i would go back and stay as there was no noise or hassle. The hotel is right near all the shops and pubs i would recommend john and joesphs as the staff in there are all very nice. had the best girls holiday ever and i would go back to this hotel in a flash :)

Just got back from this hotel, i booked it because no children are allowed to stay here, which was great as no swimming pool full of lilo's and screaming kids. ive got to be honest here the food could have been better, the chefs got some weird idea's, cauliflower in batter, and brocolli in garlic to mention just a few. the breakfast was bog standard english, with cereals, pancakes ect. but the evening meals i felt were limited choices, however this was all cooked properly. The idea of providing hand towels to each guest before every meal before you enter the dining room to adhere to cleanliness was a great idea. The down side to this hotel that let it down badly for me was the beds were rock hard. the air con never worked in our room all week, it made a noise but never chilled our room, this was reported to reception and a man came to fix it, he said it was working and was centrally controlled from reception, but i did hear other guests complaining theres wasnt working either.! The biggest let down was round the pool, lovely pool but the sun beds had no mattress on any of them, now bearing in mind when i was there most of the occupants of this hotel were 50plus upwards and no doubt some suffered from arthritis as i do. this was painfull to lie on with no padding provided. i did notice a few people had been out and bought themselves a roll up mattress to place on the loungers or an airbed, but med playa should provide these like other hotels do of the same rating. after all its supposed to be a 3 star, and ive stayed in plenty that have all provided these before. The hotel also has two internet computers which i felt was great but not cheap at 1 euro for ten minutes use. the staff overall work hard to keep the place clean, but i have to say the day we arrived we was on the top floor and there was a long dark hair in the bath, it was there for two days after we arrived before it was removed, and it did not belong to us. the bathrooms need a re vamp, as does the decor in rooms and on landings. i wouldnt stay in this hotel again, but then i wouldnt go to benidorm again either. ive given it a two rating because of its lack of matress on sunbeds, and has they cater for a lot of senior people i think this is a must.

I have just returned from my 1st holiday in Benidorm and must say what a fantastic time i had. I stayed at the riudor and would highly recommend it to anyone.
The cleanliness was outstanding, and the food was great, there was something for everyone.
The bar staff were amazing they were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, i was always met with a smile no matter what time of day or night, they really made my holiday alot more enjoyable as i spent alot of it in the hotel.
The entertainmet was catered more for the elderly but it was reasonable.
I will most definietly be returning to benidorm and the riudor hotel thanks to all the staff

Went for one week beginning of...

Went for one week beginning of December with sister and had a very good time. Rooms were very clean but we did get mozzies in our room and with not taking spray stuff one of us got bitten quite a lot so be warned even in December.
Apart from that found the hotel was very good, two large lifts to all floors an down to the restaurant where there were moistened paper towels requesting you to hand use before entering. Food and waitresses were very good, same with the bar staff in the lounge with happy hour at teatime.
Free bingo or quizzes early evening before the entertainment and reasonable drinks all added to great holiday. Will be returning very soon. Warm weather during the day but a little bit chilly some nights.
