" ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT "

Just returned from Benidorm. Stayed at The Rio Park & I must say everything about the hotel was brill, The food was the best we have ever had in a hotel in Spain, The staff extremely friendly, and everything was spotless The only fault I found was Sunbeds really uncomfortable. At the bottom of the yellow brick road we found a bar called churchills which had live entertaiment & Karaoke with Billy Rainbow every night FAB.

" outstanding hotel "

Our first time to Benidorm and as it was a last minute holiday we did not expect to have the best time but we were wrong. We arrived on a Monday morning half term week, hotel was superb. Very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. While we were there the hotel was presented with bvest winter hotel, in its class, in the world 2009 beating over 350 other hotels and all the guests were invited to a party at the hotle to celebrate this. All the food you could eat was free and delicious and the drink was free and flowing too. We would definatley come4 to the Rio Park again. Thank you for a great holiday Rio Park, Steve(35) & Naomi(29) S.Wales. PS Get the bus to the airport at 8 Euro each, the taxi costs 70 Euro and is only 30mins away from airport.

" fantastic "

Just returned from holiday at rio park, what can i say? The hotel was one of the best we have stayed in benidorm and i think it deserves more than a 2 star rating. The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and helpfull english and spanish staff on reception, food was varied, hot and tastefull always plenty and you could have as much as you liked. the pool was quite large with plenty of sun beds it did not matter what time of the day you went to the pool there was plenty of beds and room. The food at the pool bar was quite cheep as was the drinks. the hotel bar was also reasonably priced and open late, the one bar called the pop in pub was open till 3 in the morning but was for people who just wanted a quiet drink. The hotel was in a very good location, not to far awy from the beech and livelier parts of benidorm. A good bar we found was just around the corner called the Wookey Hollow i would recomend this bar it was always liverly and drinks not to badley priced. I will definatley be returning to rio park in the near future. Many thanks to all the staff and managment for making our holoday so enjoyable and relaxing

" rio park "

Have just come back from a week in benidorm, a group of 6 stayed in the rio park hotel. The food was great,they have hand wipes that you have to use on your way in to eat, and there is loads of tables even when busy not a problem. rooms very clean, hotel very clean, pool was big enough even when very busy you could swim. the only let down for the hotel was the "shows/singers" in the evening, but there is so meny pubs/clubs to go to with in a short walk it wasnt much of a problem. bedroom walls are a little on the thin side but only there to sleep. Had a great week. went to terra natura book your tickets with hotel/reps and jump the very long ques, its up and down and very hot so take drinks, couldnt do camel rides as told they where pregnant, couldnt do zip slide as couldnt find the start. We did swim with the sharks for 12euros, was ok you float around the top of the tank and watch them swim under you and for the price was ok this is from 4pm+. you can swim with sea lions but at 1pm only and was about 30euros? but we missed it. Also went to Fotos Algar water falls, again booked with rep, was nice and take your swimming stuff, is very cold water but great after a day in the heat.
MUST say please watch your bags, do not go out alone, dont carry all your money or passports around with you, there is a path that runs in front of hotel all the way to sea front called the yellow brick road, so meny people had there bags snatched along this path.

Advice: Dont need to go twice

" brilliant hotel, brilliant town! "

We have literally just landed back from our weeks holiday in Benidorm, and it was the first time we have stayed at the RIO PARK, we checked it out on here, and were a little pessimistic about going, but from the moment we landed at Alicante airport, through the transfer, right to checking in, we thought, this is very well planned, hotel was cool, and calm as we arrived, check in was swift, although a few of the more senior travellers were moaning that there was no tea laid on for them,(it was only about 96 degrees) but we took the lift up to our room, and was very impressed, the room was clean, well laid out, and the bedding were fresh, and clean.
The food was of a well cooked standard, and they have a show cooking area, where you can watch the chefs cook your dinner, we tried as much of the local menu as we could, but a lot of it was obviously of an british nature, we tried paella one night, and some woman looked at us, as if we were eating her young, but you always encounter small minded people.
entertainment was a bit flimsy, the staff try there best, but with benidorm, as it is, we never staqyed at the hotel mor than twice.
I would recommend that if your traveling to benidorm, please be extra vigilent about pick pockets, and muggings, we witnessed a mugging on the road that follows levante beach, listen to your reps advice, and and dont switch off, just because your abroad.
all in all and truly brilliant holiiday, and have booked to stay at the rio again!!!!

Advice: its a brilliant lively place, but watch your wallets.

Activities: terre mitca, terra natura, aqualandia, jeep safari, and the cumberland bar karioke palace

" brillient holiday "

we stayed at this hotel in june 09 there were 4 of us alltogether and my 2 year old son the hotel is very clean the staff are very friendly and the food was really really good there was always something for every one,and most of the food was home made. The rooms are small but clean they had 3 english channels on the tv in your room so if u do fancy an early night you could watch some telly, but i doubt you will cos the hotels bar is open untill 3 in the morning where i spent most of my evenings lol. The swimming pool is heated and very big there is a bar next to it so if u want a top up in the day you can lol they sell food so if you get a bit peckish in the afternoon they do lite bites. Overall i had the best holiday here i have had in ages. The only proble i had was that i had booked for a week and not two lol but i will be going back next year

Advice: you will love it theres something for everyone

Activities: rusty nail very nice food

" Please Read, This Is a Realistic Review! "

On the day of the arrival;
We got to the Rio Park Hotel and the atmosphere was very relaxed and tranquil. The head of our family informed the receptionist about out entrance, and we were soon escorted to our rooms.
Staff;
The majority of the staff were lovely and were happy to help, but the minority of the staff were slightly arrogant and could't really be bothered.
Rooms;
The rooms wer adequate, and they had some lovely views of the ongoing relevation of the pool. Although some repair work was under construction, the sounds coming from the site were loud and disturbing.
Catering;
There was a good selection of foods, although lots of the main courses contained pork, ham or bacon in some form, which would not be suitable for religious groups. Although there was a wide variety of foods to choose from, there wasn't a good selection for vegetarians, young children or fussy eaters. Myself, I lived off chips for breakfast, dinner and tea for the week we were there, which didn't appeal to me.
Entertainment/Facilities;
Entertainment for children and young teenagers needs to be vastly improved, as the entertainment was at the target audeince of the older generation, for example: 'The Full Monty'. Even if some family members were to watch the adult entertainment, and the audience were to leave their kids in the pool or computer room, you would still be able to see the entertainment going on between the glass doors. On the other hand, the adult entertainment was performed at a later time, and there were daily quizes that took place and staff shows that the whole family could enjoy, for example: 'Goldilocks and the 3 bears'. In the hotel, there was a computer room, which held about 20 computers and was ran by euros. There was also a pool table, which again was ran by money, 1 euro a game. There were 3 phone booths located in the reception/lounge to save walking down to the street and so you didn't have to leave the hotel.
Overall;
Having said all this, we are going back for another week in April 2009, and we are looking forward it.

Advice: If you get blinded easily, watch out for the OAP

Activities: Old Benidorm, although it is a fair walk from the hotel.

" Amazing first holiday with the girls "

I went on holidays with 8 girls to this hotel and had the best time ever. The first few days it was very overcast so we spent quite a bit of time in the hotel. Our rooms were absolutly spotless and the cleaners were there evryday and they would even come back if you were in the room. The bathroom and everythin was spotless and like all hotels there was a charge for the deposit box.
The pool area is huge and we always found room as we were usually the last ones down there, there were always enough beds around too. Being a young group of girls i did expect more entertainment at the side of the pool , not just for us but for all ages but there was nothing.
The staff around the hotel were always friendly and help full and so were the people who stayed in the hotel. There were all sifferent types of people there families, elderly, young. Although you could start to see a difference within the ages there coming closer to august, there were alot more youngsters coming in. The reps were amazing, they were so helpfull, you must go to the indroductory day aswell theres so much to be done for all ages. We payed for two bar rawls with them and went to 2 parks aswell, they gave us directions and everything.
The food was also quite nice, some of the girls are fussy buggers so they just moaned but i did agree some days there just wasn't any food out that actually went together as a meal. But overall it was enjoyable what do you expect if your fussy. Alot of the time though we did go to a fish and chip restaurant just down the yellow brick road which was really nice i recommend this.
Benidorm it self wasn't as dirty or ruff as i imagined and it helped our hotel was nice too. The beach was clean and the people were always friendly too.
I had an amazing time and recommend to any young girls to go to the parks terra mitica and the waterpark and to even go on the bar crawls your not forced to do anything either.
Have a nice holiday xxxx

Advice: good for all ages/familys- august more for youngsters any other time for the elderly

Activities: fish and chip restaurant on the yellow brick road

" Pensionre paradise "

Arrival day:
When we arrived at the riopark it looked lovley very modern inside and out. The reception was spotless clean reception staff seemed friendly enough.
We were treated very well and very quickly.
Rooms:
Rooms seemed ok at a glance clean enough but very small they were very basic needed a lick of paint wires were hanging out of the bedside light t.v was rubbish if you like watching the news all the time this would suit you.
Restraunt:
I was quite dissapointed with the food in the restraunt as we had 4 children who are very fussy eaters it was quite difficult to find them anything to eat as they do not cater for children they had to eat chips every evening for dinner then had to go out elsewhere for something more substantual. The staff in the restraunt were very abrupt too so were the pensioners who stayed there. The food was just thrown together hash browns for dinner?????????. Dirty glasses bits of food on the plate from breakfast time....... Breakfast was nice although it was floating in greese funny shaped sasuages though.
Entertainment:
Load of [--] to be honest plastic chairs it looked like a youth club with grannies in. The pensioners who had been going there for years took over the place the ruined it. They did not like the children running about enjoying themselves. this hotel is not good for kids its for oap's
