The accommodation was good and the cleanliness too. The only thing that we missed was entertainment. There were no activities going on in the hotel. The only distractions were the swimming pool and the beach.
The Italian restaurant was superb. Try the prawns and the beef steak, cooked to perfection!!
The Laguna restaurant is very nice too. Eat outside with views to the moon shaped beach.
It is not far away from the shops and restaurants. Just go outside and you will find a cab in a second that will take you wherever for peanuts.

On arrival at the Hilton Long Beach the reception was full of people.
My daughter commented that that it reminded her of an airport lounge. The rooms were excellent and very clean, tidy and spacious. All the usual facilities and a nice balcony spoilt by some very cheap plastic patio furniture. The all-inclusive is not as good as it seems - unfortunately it doesn’t extend to the mini bar. We took a bottle of gin with us thinking that we would be able to use tonic from the minibar but found out that if we wanted any drink is in our rooms they had to be paid for. A small bottle of tonic/coke was about £1.30.
The food is very mediocre and both restaurants serve the same food, which gets very repetitive. Drinks orders take as long as 20 mins to arrive by which time your meal is nearly over. Dining is not a relaxing experience and there is very little facility for eating outdoors (there are a few outdoor tables but they get snapped up quickly).
Some staff are kind and polite but they are rushed off their feet most of the time and are not able to give you the service a 5 star hotel should give to its clients. The beach is disappointing and man-made. The sand is basically the building materials left over from the building of the hotel. There are numerous sun loungers and windbreaks on the beach but the sea is very shallow and is full of purple jelly fish (not dangerous apparently but off putting especially for kids). The pools are ok - some are heated and some are not.
The main pool gets very very busy but we did manage to find a smaller pool to sit around that was quieter but the water was very cold. There are a few shops, English newspapers are limited but the jewellery shop closest to the restaurant is very good value and sells some lovely jewellery. There are far too many rooms - we were room no's 1055/1056 which gives you a good idea of size and our rooms were a good ten mins walk to the reception and restaurants. The hotel does run a shuttle bus from rooms to hotel but takes ages to arrive and is sometimes not worth the wait. The hotel also runs a bus into downtown Hurghada four times a day (there is also a charge for this which we found a little unnecessary) but we decided to stay put in the hotel so didn’t ever discover what downtown Hurghada was like.
I would recommend buying soft drinks/mixers and putting them in your room fridge so that you can at least have a drink on your balcony before and after dinner. The main reason for this is that there is really nowhere in the hotel to relax as everywhere is so busy. The hotel is mainly full of Germans, Russians and eastern Europeans who on the whole were quite rude.
I personally would recommend that you think twice before booking this hotel - we went on a Nile Cruise for the first week of our holiday in Egypt and it was wonderful which made the Hilton Hurghada seem even more disappointing. We would not go back to the Hotel again.

Arrived at Hotel to find that it had not been finished. We had booked for one week all inclusive. On entering the hotel to check in I found that there were a lot of people just hanging around thought that there were a lot of people just arrived (only later to find out it was like this every night). Was given out hotel key not told were the room was or anything regarding the facilities. After wondering around the complex a security man offered to show us to our room. Room clean and tidy, we had asked for a view of the sea, with a balcony, we got a tiny balcony just fitting one person on at a time and which faced a brick wall, our other window looked out on to the building site of the unfinished apartments.
We went to dinner to find that it was like a school hall people just pushing you out of the way to get to the food. The food was cold and very small portions were given out and when asked for some more the staff looked at you as if the food was there own. When asked for a drink it took 20-25mins to get served. The hotel was holding to many guests and did not have the facilities to go with it, once you had finished your food there was know where to sit and relax. The hotel was too small for all the guests. In the brochure we received they said that there were only 485 rooms (our room no was 950). It also stated that there would be 2 heated pools, we asked the rep about this and the hotel said that they did not feel that it was justified yet (never saw anyone in the pool the whole week).
On top of the rudeness of the staff (considering this should be a 5 star hotel) I have been ill since I arrived and was rushed in to hospital on my return suffering from stomach cramps and sickness. We were looking to hold our wedding at this hotel, I feel that we should have been told about the building works and lack of facilities before booking I would not have booked this holiday. I will not be staying at another Hilton Hotel and recommend that people check before they go to the hotel.

The Hilton Long Beach has a welcoming feel from the moment you enter.
We were given a lovely large airy room with a view of the sea and the pool area in the main block of accommodation. This was very handy, as one of us has some difficulty walking and some of the accommodation was quite a distance from the main facilities. We were also close to the 'heart' of the hotel with choice of shops and restaurants. The restaurants were manned efficiently in a buffet style, but the choice of food was somewhat limited. The restaurants were also very busy at times, especially lunchtime.
I have stayed at many all-inclusive hotels and the choice of type of food here in the limited choice of restaurants was minimal. Nevertheless the food was of good quality and always warm. The service provided by the staff at the hotel was excellent. The staff were all helpful and friendly at all times. The hotel also has a range of other facilities such as massage, hairdressing, diving, water sports, mini club and daily entertainment on site.
A well presented hotel in lovely surroundings. This well kept hotel has the mountains to the rear, the beach to in the foreground and beautiful gardens and pool areas close at hand. Hurghada itself is a developing resort and there is still little to do for the holidaymaker keen to explore resorts rather than bask by the pool and make the most of the facilities.

When we arrived at Hilton, the check-in service was good. Unfortunately when we had checked in, we realised that they had put us at the very back of the complex in room 800.I was there with my daughter who was 14 and it was not very nice to be out there late at night. Anyway we complained and within minutes we moved to the main block and they were very nice about it.
The service was a little slow round the pool, because it was very busy with in being the school holidays and it was a big hotel. The food was nice and had plenty to offer. We only ate at 1 restaurant and we liked it. The hotel staff are friendly but very busy. The thing i didn't like was that when you were relaxing around the pool, the men from the beach and beauty would come round bugging you and asking you for service all the time, and they just didn't know when to give up.
Overall it was a very nice hotel with internet rooms and cafes and round front of reception there was a show every night and things for kids and teens. I would definitely come back to this hotel!
