If anyones plaining to go to this hotel, good luck.... because all i can say is that its the worst hotel ive ever been too. The rooms are ok... staff are very very rude. The food is the same every night, you get people coming in the hotel to sale you thing they even come up to you while your eatting. The hotel is filled with eastern europeans, no english at all go there and now i no why. I would never ever go back to to that country ever again... and for those who class this hotel as a 4 star its more like a cheap 2 star. The overall of this hotel is a nightmare.

We stayed at the Sonesta club hotel, I was very impressed with this resort. The room was cleaned everyday, and sometimes the cleaners make swans with the the towels and rose petels! The food was okay not very good for vegetarians but there is so many resturants near the hotel so this wasn't a huge problem. The nightlife around the hotel is good, there is lots to do and I would definetly recommend this resort to any couple or family.

Just been to sonesta club for 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. The hotel is superb. The rooms are lovely, kept very clean and all of the staff are so friendly. The food was as good as anywhere else we have ever been and for first time ever abroad we did not get bad stomachs. The hotel is ideally situated for getting around, but it is so nice you might not want to leave. The swimming pools are fantastic. The TV's even have english movie channels. First time we have ever been all inclusive and it was totally worth it. Only thing is i dont understand why ice cream is not included. I would go again without a doubt, even my 14yr old enjoyed it and you know how hard they are to please.

First impressions. The hotel looks great on arrival and is kept really clean and grounds extremely well maintained. Pool at main bar not very good and quite unhelpful staff. Entertainment with a difference!! Top pool bar much better and staff a lot nicer too.
The rooms are basic but kept spotlessley clean with fresh bedding and towels everyday. Air con was great too.
Top swimming pool area was great. Well looked after and nice place to soak up the sun. The food at snack times wasn't bad. Freshly made pizza everday but a little repetitive.
Was a bit of a battle for sun beds but whilst we were there the hotel decided to enforce the first come first serve theory which made things a bit easier but if you asked one of the pool men they managed to get you some.
The biggest problem in this hotel was the food and the restaraunt. They are absolutely terrible. Eat here at your peril. Five out of Six of our group had serious bad bellies on more than one occassion.
The restaraunt itself could be compared to a camel market. It is complete chaos with no organisation whatsoever. People pushing you out the way as if they had never been fed before, not a pleasant eating experience.
Nice hotel but too many issues. Wouldn't return!!

We Visited The Sonesta Club Sharm El Sheikh On The 23d Of June To The 7th Of July And we thought it was brilliant the location was beatifull and the staff were very helpful but some were quite sleazy. The rooms were cleaned brilliantly every single day and fresh towels were also put in every day. The cleaner done a brilliant job and was very artistic he would make swans and love hearts with our towels! The pools were amazing a very well cleaned the bar staff spook very good english and were all very chirpy and chatty. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a number off staff who took our bags.
The entertaiment was brilliant. Nano Kado And Natalia Done A Brilliant Job Kepping Us Entertained. Especially Nano Who was very flirty and funny and always had us in stiches.
Unfortuantly when we were there Kado was sacked and the only member of staff that told the truth about his departure was Nano. we were all very upset about him leaving. the food was lovely and we could always find something that we liked to eat
On the whole the holiday was amazing

hotel lovely and clean some hotel staff where a bit rude the food was very repetitive but nice especially the bread, not enough sunbeds too many russians Thomson rep natalie was very helpful and informative,i would go back to sharm but not that hotel.we went on a few trips whilst there enjoyed most of them but didnt like the desert jeep adventure because of the mountain climbing, and the trip to jordan excellent but you have to be very fit because it is a steep climb back in direct 45 degree sunshine ive never ridden a horse in my life but i did that day wouldnt go back there although it is very pretty..

Grounds tended well. Rooms kept clean, weather great. Food disgusting, take your own drinking glass from home if you can, I took a plastic cooler cup with me, you could catch anything from their glasses. Staff need to learn to smile. If you want to get ill, then I recommend this hotel, and I also recommend it if you want to lose weight!!! We were both ill a week after we came home with gastroenteritis. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Me and my partner just got back from our first holiday together - in Egypt.
The holiday overall was nice, it had good touches about it, and we will take memories home... but this isn't a review of the holiday - its of the hotel.
We must warn you of a few experiences that we had during our stay, and sadly a lot of them seem to repeat earlier points posted. I will post them in order:
1 - the AC broke in our room, and took two days for an engineer to come and fix it. When it was fixed, he continued to harass us to check the room out two days afterwards - which was politely declined... several frustrating times.
2 - we got asked by a bald waited if we wanted fruit juice, which we assumed being all inclusive was free. Only to find out (after he chased us, literally, to reception!!) that it wasn't free, and cost £3.50 for 2 glasses (which we literally downed in one). If your not looking to pay anything, don't even look at the waiters and decline their service immediately.
3 - even when declining their service, expect to get mucky looks and to be harassed each day by the same waiter. We got asked twice by different waiters if we wanted to attend a candlelight dinner for £13 each, even though we told them we were flying that day, they STILL tried to sell us it!
4 - the drinks at the bar are warm and limited (in terms of house whiskey, rum, vodka, house beer and limited soft drinks). The dolphin bar (next to the main stage) is very very poor - and the bar staff are all sleazy. We ordered a cocktail from there once (Jamaican) and it was the most effortless, disgusting drink I have ever had. I literally nipped to the toilet for five minutes, and three of them tried it on with my partner. Needless to say we didn't use that bar again, in case one of them ended up in hospital :-)
5 - you will suffer a stomach upset at least once, because of the way the food is cooked. Me and my partner suffered it twice, and the pharmacy will charge you roughly £10 to sort the problem out. Its not an ideal situation.
6 - if you want to sunbathe on this holiday, think again. It just doesn't work. People will literally get out of bed at 5am to start sunbathing - which is just pathetic. The only sunbathing we did was on the grass lying on our towels
7 - pool staff will adopt double standards. I was kicked out of swimming in the empty pool at 7pm (just as the sun was going down) as the pool was "closed" - however they will not prevent people from diving in it all day, even though it is a strict rule
I could go on and on - basically there were about 3 staff members we could bare. Our cleaner was one, and the bar staff at the far end bar were the others. Every other one wouldnt last a week in an English hotel with their poor display of manners.
Egypt recommended - Sonesta Club NOT

Well what can i say, they call this a 4* hotel!! First impressions, Great! (although it was in the dark). Ill start with the positives....hotel and room were very clean and thats about it! Food was an absolute joke the same stuff day and night, it was tastless and boring i wouldnt even feed it to my dog, I cant begin to tell you how may McDonalds I ate on holiday because we just couldnt face the food at all. Drinks during the day were warm and served in plastic cups!! I mean who goes on holiday to drink out of a plastic cup that is washed in thier yellow water and used again! Also if your expecting a nice cocktail when you arrive, think again! Put it this way their Vodka is called Volga! The staff in reception are fairly friendly however the staff at pool bars and restaurant really dont want to be there, we stayed 2 weeks and 2 staff were sacked due to upsetting guests. BE CAREFUL in Taxis, a couple we met got mugged, 2 men would not let them get out of the taxi until they gave them all the money they had on them, we spent the evening helping them out at the police station.
Namma Bay is not that exiting, I thought there would be more authentic resturants lots of nice seafood thats what some people expect on holiday oh no you can choose from KFC, Pizza hut, TGI and Hard rock! I may as well have stayed in London to eat that. Also if your one to go out and try bars etc not much on offer... Tavern Bar is english this is quite good and Pasha is worth a try however be aware a Vodka and Coke will set you back a fiver! At last it was time to go home! Be aware we had the same weight in baggage coming home as we did going there, Uk they didnt charge for being 3K over Egypt charged us £30! Im sorry to be so negative but i saved all year for a fantastic holiday and was so disappointed I wouldnt go back if someone offered me a free holiday!

Had issues upon arrival....There was a lizard in the bathroom, this was dealt with by the maintenance guy quite quickly. The AC was not working in the room so even though it was 10.30pm onwards we were sweltering in there. After 30 mins, the engineer was not able to fix it and we were advised to change rooms. Were told that someone will come to show us to the other room. 30 mins later nobody had come. Eventually we got moved, however a bed was still to be made up, not very good service from night staff on the reception.
Accommodation was basic 3 star, rooms were dark, and beds not very comfortable. Bathroom was basic too, and strange decor. However, was cleaned thoroughly on daily basis with fresh linen and towls provided.
There are 2 pools, one larger than the other. The larger one towards the back of the hotel was nicer, and there are water slides there. Generally the pool areas were good, and cleaned continuously.
Pool side bar was ok, again some of the staff are a little slow, but others are good. Food at the pool bar was of very little variety, but did the job.
There are entertainers, and will organise games etc. Evening entertainment for kids and adults.
Main restaurant, breakfast time was ok, lots breads and pastries, cereal, fried breakfast stuff, there is someone who will make fresh eggs for you, omlettes etc. Pretty much the same everyday. Lunch and evening wasn't very good, there is a pasta station to get fresh spaghetti etc, but its made in basic sauce, quite boring. Very little for vegetarians. Again lots of bread and salad stuff. Occasional grilled fish and meat but generally quite poor, could have been a lot better.
You can use the beach at the sister hotel Sonesta Beach, which was a lot better. However, don't expect too much interms of food and drink there for Sonesta Club guests.
There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to Nama Bay in the evening every hr, not always guaranteed though. Never paid more than 20LE for a taxi which is £2, It's about a 15-20 mins walk along the same road.
Nama Bay, very lively place to go in the evening, packed with people. The locals do harrass you to come and into shops bars etc, have to be firm and haggle.
Lots Shisha smoking cafe type places outside, very nice. Quite cheap to eat out but drinks are a little more. Have got Hard Rock Cafe which is popular as open till quite late. Also a TGI Fridays, pizza hut, McDonalds and KFC, but there are plently of places to eat. Also, lots of places on the marina side promenade and a little quieter there without the hassle.
Did a trip to Cairo, was well worth it. Flew there though as couldn't face a 7hr coach journey, by air is 1hr but still an early start. Visa required for trip to Cairo, can get this on first arrival at airport £11.
Ras Mohammad trip to see corals is a must, so amazing to go snorkelling and see this.
Quad biking is another good one, going through the dessert mountains so very hot but fun!

Hi
This holiday was one of the best holidays I have ever been on! I was abit worried after reading some of the other comments before I left but I needent have worried. The hotel staff where polite especially Abrahim (Bar Staff) he made my kids kiddie cocktails with coke and fanta. The pool was clean but it was hard to get sunbeds you had to get up at 4:00 to get a good sunbed spot where you wouldn't melt. Naama Bay is terrible don't go there its very dirty. Our family room was nice but we were surprised to find a camp bed round the corner next to the door. The food was okay but repetitive. We ate at McDonalds and got cheap drinks from 24/7 market. Overall the holiday was good but I wouldn't return to this hotel.

We had a fantastic time at Sonesta!
The rooms were big and clean. The towels were replaced everyday and our cleaner was lovely. We gave him a tip, because he did a fantastci job.
The rooms were fully airconditioned, which we were able to leave on all night.
The pools were awesome- all this whinging about having to get up at the crack of dawn to get a lounger- nto true- soemtimes you had to look around for one, btu we got one every dya we needed one.
The private beach was cool too, and again there was always lounges there.
The food was good. I loved the egg station in the morning- delicious- and the pasta station at night. there weas always salad and hot food, and a huge variety of bread. and they have lurpak! I can understand that it was a bit repetitive- but the choice was always huge, and for all inclusive i think it was awesome. I wish there had been a bit mroe Egyptian food- it was so English!
I do wish that ice cream was included in the price though.
The soft drinks were sometimes warm- but it was 38 degrees- it doesn't take long for a bottle of coke to get warm when its 38 degree. and there should have been a water cooler in the dining room. You got water vouchers though and there were coolers by the bars and pools. there could have been another choice of juice at breakfast, but there was normally two which is great.
I think the alcoholic drinks were fine- the beer was good and the spirits strong.
The bars were nice to hang out at.
The staff were awesome. They were friendly and nice and went out of their way to help us. They really helped make our holiday so fab! The animation team were great, encouraging us to get involved and have fun.
Our rep from meds hotels was awesome. He personally went out of his way to help us out and make sure we had a good time. YOU ROCK ALI! :)

Just got back from our first visit to Egypt and after reading the reviews of others we were a bit worried but we shouldn t have been, the rooms were spacious and really clean, the cleaning man Alaa was fantastic and he made our stay more enjoyable.
The weather was fantastic and the the pool area was spacious but the guys working in the upper pool bar wern't the best mannered slamming the drinks down on the bar looking bored out of their skulls.
We went all inclusive which meant we got local wines, spirits, soft drinks and beer free but not ice creams or lollies which was dissapointing as we have a 5 year old daughter who would have enjoyed them, the meals were ok if a little repetative the only down side was lack of different meals for kids, they must have thought that all children lived on chips chicken and beef burger thingies, one piece of advice tip a waiter early and he is yours for the duration of your stay meaning drinks waiting for you as you sit at your table.
All in all a very enjoyable stay if you like a quite holiday with very little night life and entertainment on site.
