Look at all the good reports this Hotel has had and believe every one of them.
Its a short transfer time, its clean, most if not all staff speak very good English, the staff can not do enough to help you and a small tip every now and then goes a long way.
The on site Dive centre staff are great and will accommodate qualified and none qualified divers. (Recommended)
I have never returned to the same hotel as I like to try new ones but this is a very strong contender for a return visit.
For me it is well worthy of the 5 Star it has been granted and would recommend it to anyone.

We have just returned from this...

Jun 2007, Mrs A Firmstone

We have just returned from this lovely hotel. 10/10 across the board. The food is very good as are the drinks and snacks - well worth going all inclusive.
This is the only hotel in Sharm that has its own beach so that you can walk straight into the sea.
The staff are great right across the board.
Be mindful that you might get an upset stomach; this is probably due to the heat.
Can't wait to go back.

May 2007, Mr S L Conway

This was our first time to Egypt and first time abroad with our son (nearly 2). Put it this way, we are looking to go back.
The staff fall over themselves to help you. They entertained our son constantly, and contributed to what was a fantastic holiday for us.
The hotel provide a babysitting service at extra charge, and there is also a kids club - although because our son was younger than 4, we had to accompany him.
The 'Old Market' is worth seeing a night if only to experience the arena area where the cliffs are lit up, and they often have music on with a great atmosphere.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just spent 2 weeks in the Iberotel...

Sep 2006, Mr Stephen Nimmo

Just spent 2 weeks in the Iberotel palace in Sharm all inclusive loved the place the hotel is immaculate food to a high standard and had very good service, all round just what you need for a relaxing holiday.
There is some entertainment a resident singer at the top bar and local shows at times. Spent a lot of time in the borsolino bar it is just like the cheers bar on the TV had a good laugh in the bar usual karaoke couple of times and a few competitions in the bar. Stayed in the hotel most of the time no need to go out all their for you (fully inclusive) swimming pool small more of a plunge pool did not use the pool all our time spent on the beach only down side at times struggled to get a parasol as per normal Germans about. Also general manager German quite arrogant and seemed to acknowledge only his fellow country people not that I was too bothered.
All in all a very enjoyable holiday would definitely go back to the Iberotel palace advertised 5 star I would agree with the rating had a great time. Heard stories of people going out and about lots of hassle to buy by the locals but will say one thing felt safe walking around as plenty of police about. Find a good bar man give a good tip looked after all the holiday recommended

What a hotel This hotel rates with...

What a hotel This hotel rates with the best they say 4* but we have stayed in worse 5*. If you are considering Sharm then you would not go far wrong to try here. The food is excellent with a good choice that changes daily. The staff really work hard to make you welcome and comfortable.
The rooms are kept immaculately clean and the whole complex is kept to an incredibly high standard by an army of gardeners, maintenance and cleaners. The hotel is the old part of Sharm and the market is an experience not to be missed (not the sanitized Naama bay). Real people living a hard life. The people are so friendly but it does take a bit of getting used to just be polite and firm and they will let you go about your business.
If you want a relaxing time in great surroundings and a fantastic climate then Iberotel Palace should be seriously considered.

What a wonderful, relaxing holiday we...

May 2006, Mrs H Hill

What a wonderful, relaxing holiday we had in the Iberotel Palace. It was our first Thomson Holiday and definitely won't be our last.
The hotel was so clean and welcoming all staff were charming and couldn't do enough for us. The Thomson Rep Che was marvelous and determined that your holiday would be one to remember.
The private beach was on our doorstep, we never had a problem getting a sun bed and clean towels were provided every day. There were so many activities on the beach you could hire canoes, pedalos, catamarans or take a ride on a banana boat and these activities were all affordable (great if you have a hoard of children, or want to play at being a child yourself, which is what we did)! Alternatively, you could relax on your sun bed and soak up the sunshine without worrying about hookers which tend to parade around many other beach resorts. The pool area was picturesque and clean, the staff prided themselves on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout.
We were bed and breakfast with the intention of eating out. However, we found the food in the al a carte restaurant second to none so only ventured out on two occasions. You know I could rant on for ages on the excellence of this hotel, there are no negatives. But hey why not give it a go yourselves, you will not be disappointed. Would we go back? MOST DEFINATELY.

We were delighted with this hotel....
8 / 10
Apr 2006, Mrs J Isherwood

We were delighted with this hotel. Based in a lovely setting with 2 outdoor swimming pools and 1 indoor and its own private beach, just perfect for a relaxing holiday. The rooms were spotless and large. We never had to fight for a sun bed, there was always sun beds available (unlike on the Thomson cruise!). The breakfasts were plentiful and varied and the staff were always friendly and polite.
If planning to go into Naama Bay by taxi, it is not for those with a nervous disposition! This experience cannot be described, needless to say they drive very fast and do not give way to other motorists! Never pay more than £2.50, we never did. When you walk out of the hotel you will get taxis turning up from nowhere, there is a free bus from the hotel that goes three times a day. It returns after two hours in the evening which we did not find was enough time, to eat and to look around so take a taxi back.
You do get a lot of hassle from the shopkeepers which can be a bit off putting at first but you will soon get used to it, just be firm and say no. If you do go into a shop and want to buy something you will get offered tea as we did twice in Sharm and they are offended if you say no, we had one cup of tea in one shop and went into another and said we had just had one and he was quite offended, so we had another! It is good fun though, but only do this if you intend to buy something as it is a long process!
Whatever you do though at the hotel take the boat to the coral reef, words cannot describe how spectacular the snorkeling is with all the fish around, wonderful!
On the minus side, we found there wasn’t much to do in the evening, probably because we had our sons in their early 20's with us and there wasn’t a lot for them. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Naama Bay that is fun.
When we were picking people up for the airport we were really pleased we had stayed in the Iberotel Palace it looked easily the best hotel.

If you like to be spoiled you'll love...
10 / 10
Apr 2006, mumcabs

If you like to be spoiled you'll love this hotel:
Iberotel Palace is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. We chose half board although you could upgrade to all inclusive. Some guests were on a B & B basis which gave them freedom to dine elsewhere in the evening.
The hotel staff were impeccably dressed and they couldn't do enough for us. Our room cleaner was extremely helpful and every day when we came back to our room he had made something extraordinary with the towels. One day he made a heart, the next a flower, then a snake and the best one of all was a swan, it was amazing, I used to take a photo each day, it was a lovely surprise coming back to our room each day to see what he had made.
The animation team were so friendly and really lovely people, although they didn't manage to persuade us to join in any games, we just wanted to relax on the beach. We had free sun beds and towels every day and it was great not to have to take sandy wet towels back to our room. The breakfasts were excellent, plenty to eat whatever your tastes, loads of different breads, fruit yoghurt, poached eggs, fried eggs, omlettes, the only thing is the bacon is BEEF bacon and doesn't taste the same as PIG bacon. The evening meals were plentiful, each night was based on a theme, Italian, Austrian, Asian etc.
The Old Market of Sharm is across the road from this hotel and you do tend to get pestered by the locals to buy something from their shops, they give you "good price" but you have to halve the price and go even lower because they have got wise to us Brits and have put their prices up a bit more.
The one thing I didn't like was that nothing was priced in the shops, only in the supermarkets, so you always had to ask "how much is this please" and you know the answer to that don't you? If you have to get a taxi book one at reception because there are more taxis than people in Sharm, the blue and white ones being the worst, they will try and charge you more but you MUST agree a price before you even get in (prices aren't extortionate but in view of their lower cost of living you shouldn't expect to pay more than LE25 to LE30 (£2.50 to £3.00).
If you want tea making facilities you have to ask at reception and they will give you a kettle etc, but we only found out the day before we left so we mentioned it to our Rep, Che, and he said he would put that point in his welcome meetings. We could have murdered a cup of tea first thing in the morning. The best thing about this hotel is that it has its own beach, you just walk through the beautiful gardens and you're there. There is a free boat out to the coral reefs and if you've never snorkeled before just try, it's amazing.
