We had a fabulous holiday at Akti, we stayed in an apartment which was very spacious very clean had everything you needed. and had the feel of a Mediterranean village.
The resort had three pools one indoor lots of beds for everyone a poolside cafe.
The food was fantastic and the hours were great breakfast until 10am and evening meal served until 10pm.
You could get a bus from the resort into Paphos for just a few cents or the hotel would order you a taxi which cost £5.00 but we recommend you hire a car to get the best of this wonderful island. There are lots of car hire garages in Paphos competing for your business so barter don't just take the first offer we got £6.00 a day cut of the price.
The heart of the holiday and what made it so special were the staff from Mario and Dana in entertainment to George and all his staff in the dinning room.
We envy anyone who is still waiting to go on holiday to Akti and we will definitely be going again.
We would just like to say from Ian Di and Jenny thank you to all the staff for a wonderful holiday.

Booked this holiday as a last minute break for myself and my two children. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Had a one bed roomed apartment which was spotless and gave us plenty of room. The food in the restaurant was good although did feel that they did not cater for children in particular. The children’s entertainer 'Mario' is excellent and kept my children entertained for the week.
The hotel is very isolated but the bus service into Pathos is excellent every 15mins and only costs 70cents for adults and 50 cents per child.
Would recommend that you use this hotel as a base as you may find yourself rather stuck for things to do during the day and evening if you don't hire a car.

I reluctantly returned home yesterday from my 2nd visit to Cyprus, my first to Akti. I stayed one week.
Akti Village far exceeded my expectations. It was lovely. Beautifully laid out - no high rise buildings, just low level, interesting designs that didn't negatively impact the beautiful coastline. The room (studio) was huge and very clean. It was cleaned everyday except one. The staff were so attentive and constantly smiling and simply couldn't do enough for you. As for the food - plentiful and lovely is all I can say!! You have to try it to believe it!
The village itself is located at one end of Paphos, so in my view is tucked away from the hustle which was fine for me. A plentiful supply of bars and restaurants were a short taxi ride away costing around cy£5.
I would definitely recommend Akti for those looking for a high quality holiday slightly tucked away from the main centre of the resort of Paphos itself. Its perfect for all - couples, families and people traveling alone.

I would like to thank everyone concerned with the hotel for a fantastic holiday. The room (studio) was very spacious with a huge balcony. The weather was fine but at night it went cool but the heating soon warmed the room up, this was free, we just paid a returnable deposit for the remote.
The room was spotless could not fault the cleaning staff. The food was lovely and plentiful. All the staff reception, dining room, bar, entertainment and the cleaners were all friendly and very helpful. The wine in the dining room was a little expensive but very nice (status 99). The pool area was very clean and tidy, I would love to see it in the summer when the outside bar is open, just because it was early season the whole hotel was still kept spotless.
The only fault to me is there is nothing else around the area, and with it going dark early you couldn't walk into Pathos at night time and the buses stopped running to early, although we had a hire car we would not drink and drive, and as all hotels the bar prices are a little high. We will be looking for a holiday back to the Akti again in the future and would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Thank you once again for a fantastic holiday.

I stayed at the Akti beach village in September 05 and I have to say I couldn’t have gone anywhere nicer. The staff were friendly, the rooms cleaned on a daily basis apart form 2 days. The food you couldn’t fault at all and was good value for money. There was plenty to do for all ages. The Akti beach is just outside Paphos were there are a number of good restaurants and bars to eat and drink in. You can hire a car, get the bus or order a taxi which reception will do for you, which are all fairly cheap. It is 70 Cypriot pounds for the bus to go anywhere and mostly 5 Cypriot pounds to go into Paphos, a short drive away for the holiday village.
The rooms are a good size, we had 4 in our room but we had plenty of space. The Akti beach is nice and quiet and has breath taking views. You have the sea at the end of the holiday village, which you could access. The Akti beach made myself and my family’s holiday more fantastic and we will definitely go again. maybe next year. Thanks for great stay, my and I family didn’t want to go home.

This is our fourth time to Cyprus, weather always fantastic, as was our holiday. Apartment very spacious, and cleaned six days a week. Cleaning staff excellent. Very friendly. Food was ok, site shop expensive. Not a lot to do on an evening on site. We hired a car for our two weeks stay and glad we did, we had no transfers from the airport but was lucky and had a great English speaking taxi driver ( ring and book him before you go ....Tony.... Anastasias taxi.. Tel 99 470 277 he will give you a good price , he also got us a great deal on the price of our hired car. We had a great holiday with only one snag, our return flight was at 21.30 hours and had to vacate apartment at 12.00 and was unable to book our apartment for longer and there was nothing else available, with having three children one a two year old it would of been nice to freshen up & prepare her bottles for are flight home.

My holiday was fantastic.. Akti Village was beautiful! Could not fault a thing! Everything was just amazing! What a place!
The pool is lovely and the temperature was just right. The food was out of this world.. garlic prawns WOW!! The people there are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are so clean and cleaned thorough daily!! The place is situated in a nice spot just outside the busy area but so easy to get to and not far on foot or by car. The scenery was breath taking. I would definitely stay hear again and will probably go back next year!
Thank you x

The apartment that we stayed in were grate, there were 4 of us to one apartment, they have alot of space to them and they were clean and tidied every day with the exception of one day a week.
The site was also great the pools was fab, there is some activities that can be done for people of my age and people around my age (I am 15), for example the water polo was really fun and its a great way to make friends, there it also things to do like play pool and darts.
The staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome, and always smiling, these include people like the staff at the pool bar day and night and the receptionists also the staff in the shop.
You will need to hire a car for about a week if you are looking the see the sights, but they are not far away, also the town is a five min drive from the site.
I really enjoyed being at Akti and loved the feel of the place its self and the staff it made me want to stay and I was really sad when it came to leaving, we hope to go back next year and I can’t wait.
P.S try out the water park if you have children ITS A BLAST.

Akti Tourist Village
We stayed at Akti in November after enjoying 2 weeks there last November. We liked the location, right by the sea front; we liked the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel generally and we liked the layout of pools, gardens etc. Akti is a little isolated from shops and restaurants but as we always have car hire that didn’t bother us. Entertainment is sporadic to thin but again that doesn’t bother us.
Now the bad part; since last year the quality of the food has deteriorated and the amount and cost of extras have doubled. The basic materials used for food was poor quality e.g. reformed ham instead of real bacon and stale bread and the recycling was excessive. ‘Tourist entrapment’ (we’ve got you miles from anywhere and we’re going to make you pay) reached new levels of sophistication. Everything was an extra and the conditions were engineered to ensure we could not escape paying them. Accesses to the gym, air con, and safe keys are extra payments OK but tea and coffee after dinner!!
Tap drinking water was not available only bottles and only small bottles and at a premium price. A bottle of the cheapest wine was Cyp4 last year; this year it was Cyp8 (exchange rate Cyp1 = £1.20) and it was awful. (There is no excise duty on wine in Cyprus and Cyp8 is, I suspect, Cyp7 profit - that’s a rip off). A small/half local draft beer was Cyp1.15. And there was the pettiness - not being allowed to take a drink from one part of the hotel to another because prices differed in different places at different times. So, for example, if you and friends were having a pre-dinner drink in the bar and your wife hadn’t finished her drink and took it down to the restaurant she’d be turned away or made to leave the drink outside.
Sorry Akti but you have not done your homework. The strategy of offering a cheap package deal but then trying to trap the tourist and fleece their wallets will not get you good reviews. You should look at what is being charged by your competitors; even the 5 start hotels charged less for their wine than you.

We stayed at the Akti for a week in April and had a great time. The accommodation is the best I have seen on a package holiday, the room we had was enormous and didn’t have a balcony, it had a terrace!
There is a lovely pool and you are close to the sea but there isn’t really a beach but the Coral bay is just down the road.
From the accommodation you can walk (well we are in our 20s) for 15/20 mins and be at a strip of pubs and restaurants, the usual sort of thing you find at holiday resorts. Everywhere does everything it seems, except I think we were the only English people not eating burger and chips twice a day! The Greek salads are so good.
The food at the buffet was superb. My favourite was the BBQ pork and huge range of salad on offer. There really was a lot of choice. The staff are really nice too.
The entertainer Mario is hilarious. You should see him with the kids, he is a star. Everybody comes away from this place saying 'sabotage', his catchphrase.
Only gripes - the price of beer. They only serve the local keo really which was £1.80 CP which is over £2.20 and it is very weak! Well I just had to drink more of it to make up!
If you go, pop in to the local pub the Dimma (might be wrong spelling). The owner is lovely, even gave me a free brandy (which was very nice).
Go, you will love it.
