I recently won flights to New York, through the Metro newspaper and the guys from Thomas Cook were superb in finding me accommodation and also getting the flights right.

We actually won flights to Boston but were able to get flights to Boston and return from JFK meaning we got to see both Cities.

Thomas Cook got 2 great hotels and in particular the Double Tree guest house in Manhattan, which is 2 blocks off the main shopping street 5th avenue.

What I particularly liked about the double tree was its style, it was a very contemporary styled hotel with extremely helpful staff.

The restaurant was very cheap and we got a 3 course meal for approx $25 each, which I thought was good value.

Oh and also you get a freshly baked cookie on arrival and departure from the hotel, and boy are the cookies good.
