Aug 2005, Mr P McGary

What a fantastic holiday resort, our first time in Turkey and we had never experienced fully inclusive before so we were a little sceptical about quality of food and drink availability etc.
No problem here quality and quantity were excellent , staff were impeccable , hotel and room very clean ,in all a very slick operation. Lots of Russians during our stay whom seem to have a need for better social skills but I guess language is a barrier there!
However a queue is a queue the world over and these guys seem to feel exempt from participating, otherwise easily recognisable in their Speedos unlike the brits in football shirts moaning about really petty things like 'its too hot' and 'cant get a British fry up'. Come on guys your on holiday in a far away land don’t let the side down and cheer up.
The only thing lacking in the Belek area is somewhere to visit outside of the resort complex , very scruffy and for the main part looks like a building site but beyond that this destination is excellent value and well worth a visit , oh take euros instead of lira!

Jun 2005, Mrs D L Bowen

The tour operator misinformed us and said we were having a two bedded room where in fact we paid a supplement for a sea view low rise building and only had one bedroom. The representatives for Thomas cook were sparse however and apart from welcome meeting days you had to chase around to find them. The hotels facilities apart from this mix up were however good with plenty of activities going on day and night to keep everyone entertained with games, entertainment etc. The hotel was situated on a private beach and the main pool had its own mini water park.
However the Russians in the hotel were very rude to the people from the united kingdom pushing in at meal times and in queues by the bars and did cause arguments between the holiday makers especially in welcome meetings with the reps as they could get drinks on all inclusive basis that we had to pay for where all inclusive should mean all inclusive and people should be treated the same no matter what their nationality is.

Jun 2005, Mr K Mclear

Apart from one incident of language difficultly this hotel is by far the greatest holiday resort for kids of all ages even the big kids of 18+. All staff at the hotel apart from the reception was friendly and polite and made the whole family feel at home. The animation team make the holiday even more special by attempting to make you feel more like a friend than a customer. I could complain about the flight and delays and petty stuff like most but lets face it why rate a holiday on petty things like that when the hotel itself especially the animators make up for it 100 times over 2 enthusiastic thumbs up I’m already booked to go again next June..

Apr 2005, Ms J Bentley

I wouldn’t recommend going to the Sun Zeynep at this time of year (Apr) as most of the facilities were closed (water slides, poolside bars, etc). There were no beds/umbrellas on the beach or any watersports.
The food was plentiful but was never varied and desired a little more imagination I thought. Although there was choice it was always the usual suspects (macaroni, pasta, cheese in pastry or mash potato, etc). A lot of it just tasted the same and after two weeks of it I was ready for home.
Evening entertainment consisted entirely of a man playing an organ and singing old tunes. The alternative to this was a small TV room where the animation team would do the children’s disco.
On the plus side the hotel was very clean but I would definitely not go back either to this hotel or to Belek.

First week - fantastic - food, entertainment, staff - they couldn’t do enough to please you.
Second week - felt entertainment was very poor and reception staff were arrogant
Although I must say the chef was amazing and ensured there was plenty of peanut free food my child could enjoy
Thomas cook - were advised that our child had a peanut allergy for the flight and hotel. They failed to keep the flight peanut free by selling peanuts and then offered a measly fruit platter to my child for the in flight meal (which we had paid for). The return flight was worse - no food was provided at all. Have complained through the usual channels, but five months later have heard nothing. They also failed to inform the hotel of the allergy.

Sep 2004, Select D & P Eddison

Visited Our Home In Belek for the fourth time this year. Tried other hotels in other destinations but cant find any other that that is such value for money.
The hotel was as clean as ever staff as friendly and courteous as always, food - well what can I say the only bad thing about the food is it is not good for the waistline!!! If you so wish you can eat a huge variety of food from 7.00am till midnight & drink all local beers & shorts from 10.30am till 2.00am. (see what I mean about the waistline).
I have one concern about the future of this hotel and that is I have been told it is being taken over by another company on a 5yr lease. This company concentrate on CIS countries (former USSR) and although the hotel has a very large number of Russian guests at the moment, the new company may not make the hotel available to the British market after 2005. Will just have to wait and see.
There are 2 main thing to help enjoy this hotel
1. Show respect & manners to all staff and they will do the same, treat them with contempt and they will do the same.
2. Accept that you are not at home, Turkish 5 star is not British 5 star. I would give the overall hotel a 4star plus as a complete package!!

We visited Sun Zeynep in July 2004. We went with our 12 year old daughter. She loved it, the slides were especially great. There was no downfall. The animation team worked everyday and made sure your holiday was great (thanks guys...Enis, Birol, Bilal, Oktay, ozge, sheriffee etc).
The beach was great, overall the hotel was such an amazing experience. Definitely going again.
The weather was in it’s 50's!!!

Jul 2004, Mrs V M Dawes

The accommodation and service was exceptional. It is not often you can find adequate accommodation that comfortably fits 4 people with room to spare.
You did not have to walk very far for entertainment and onsite facilities.
The cleanliness was also excellent as many other resorts I have stayed in has always left us in doubt as to whether to return again.
It was my family’s first time to Turkey and we did not know what to expect. But the warmth of all the hotel team has made it easy for me to choose this destination again for another year.
Needless to say we have booked to stay at the same resort for July 2005.
The only downside to this holiday was rudeness of the airport staff, especially to my youngest son. Airport security THREW his passport at him. The poor lad did not know what to expect, except to see his passport launched at him over the counter which he could not see over. When I tried to assist him I was rudely snapped at! Whilst they do not have to be friendly, it would be nice to show courteousness to visitors of the country.

Jul 2004, Mrs s Maher

My family and me visited this hotel at the beginning of July. We were situated in the bungalows and the rooms were very clean. The hotel was lovely and all the staff were very friendly. There was a wide variety of food available every day. Try the freshly made pancakes by beach bar. My 2 girls loved the waterslides and the pools, although I have to say me and my husband enjoyed them as much. The weather was scorching (in the 40's). We took a speedboat trip off the beach and my husband and eldest daughter (10) went up, on the parachute (£15 for the two) we saw the dolphins by the side of our boat .... spectacular. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

Jul 2004, Mrs L Jackson

We stayed at the Sun Zeynep for two weeks all inclusive
The hotel and facilities were fantastic.
The food was top class, different every day, freshly barbecued meats and fish, either in the restaurant or by the poolside at lunchtime. There was always plenty of choice and there was plenty for the kids to choose from.
The pool was clean and quite big. There was also a pool with 3 large water slides for the children and adults to enjoy.
The hotel was on the beach, there was free towels, sun beds and pedalos.
Plenty of entertainment all day and the evening entertainment was good.

Jun 2004, Mr A J Hall

This is the busiest hotel I have visited in 8 trips to Turkey but they really know how to cope. Efficient service of excellent food, which seemed to be available almost all day, and drinks with no queues at all.
My 2 children aged 10 and 8 along with their 2 friends were able to enjoy the freedom of the site and facilities without any worries for us. They loved the water slides and the evening shows by the animation team.
There are no rules telling you what and what not to do which all added up to a very successful and relaxing holiday.
Good inexpensive water sports right on the beach and a short taxi ride into Kadriye gave all the shopping you may need. Belek is a little further away taking approx 50 minutes to walk through the woods or 20 minutes by bike.
The only real downside was a lack of a seaside/harbour area to visit but if you can cope without that, and trips are easily available to Side or Antalya, then book it.

May 2004, Mrs M A Eveleigh

My husband 2 children and myself have just returned from a fortnight’s holiday at the Hotel Sun Zeynep. This was our first visit to Turkey and certainly won’t be our last. This hotel was beyond our expectations from the brochure and was exceptionally clean. We stayed in a bungalow and it was the cleanest accommodation we have ever had There is so much to do there every day, and the children are kept entertained constantly in the Hotel run Mini Club, where the girls who work there are the nicest and who do genuinely like children and care for them. The Animation Team work tirelessly to make your holiday enjoyable. The facilities are excellent and we can highly recommend having a Turkish Bath, which is very relaxing. There is not only a huge swimming pool with a children’s section, but also another children’s pool with a slide, and then you also have a water park with 3 water slides which our children spent 5 hours a day in. The variety of food offered is on a level we have never before experienced. The staff in the Restaurant are so welcoming, and after your first meal they will call you by name each time you eat there for the rest of your holiday. We can also recommend booking your excursions through Lets Go Travel in Kadriye who were most helpful and a third of the prices through your Hotel Rep. The hotel is situated on the beach where you will be able to participate in a variety of water sports, some of which are included in the all inclusive basis. We are shortly going to be booking our holiday for 2005 back to the Sun Zeynep and it can’t come soon enough for us.
