I have just retuned from this hotel and I can honestly say I had a fantastic time.If you are looking for a hectic glitz and glamour hotel this is not for you.But if you want relaxed understated friendly look no futher.The hotel is set in a lovely position right on the beach and surrounded by nice gardens.I found the hotel to be very clean and well maintained.The pool area is very spacious and again well maintained as is the private beach.The rooms are adequate but just lack the finishing touches to make them more modern and luxurious.The... more

Don't expect glitz and glamour, the current owners have only owned this hotel for a short time and have big plans for it, but what it lacks in style it makes up for in cleanliness (everywhere is immaculate, the pool and childrens play area are a credit to them) the staff are sooo nice and helpful, the food is excellent a bit repetative but no different than most all inclusives. We arrived at 5 am and had fruit, water and a tray of salad provided in our room in case we were hungry. An excellent touch. Our room was lovely. Balcony overlooking the pool with a view out to sea. Everything we had requested and more. Everywhere was spotless and the towels in the bathroom were snowy white, thick and fluffy (always a good indicator)!! We arrived early morning around 7am on a night flight. Upon arrival, we were just handed our key and our luggage taken to a room. No explanation or tour around the restaurant, meal times etc We had to work these things out ourselves, but that was ok as we were quite tired anyway, but after speaking to a few others, they aso mentioned the same thing. The service was better than any other hotel I've ever been to. Even though this is mainly a French hotel most of the reps speak English. If they are aware of people from other countries that France they will do their best to translate. Therefore it is easier to join in with the entertainment. The room was basic - as all Greek hotels are. The beds are really comfy though! There is only one channel in English - BBC World News. We have just returned from a great holiday and cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Forget all the previous reviews, as things are changing at Aquis Bella Beach. Already this is a great resort, but soon it will be a fantastic 5* resort. This hotel was purchased by the Aquis chain in March this year and they have huge plans for it, and they will be spending 2.5 million euros on improvements! The location of the hotel is excellent, just a step away from a sandy beach. The hotel staff is very polite. Ideal for holidays with young children as it is equipped with childrens' pool, two playgrounds and childrens' restaurant (although it was yet closed during our stay). Great overall impressions and very good value for money.

This is a fantastic hotel, great for a relaxing holiday. Having booked it 2 days before we left, we weren't sure what to expect but we were in for a pleasant surprise. We were hoping to find a hotel on the beach and luckily we found that our room was only a couple of steps away from the sandy bella beach. Bella Maris is a very nice hotel, really 5* accommodation, services and facilities. There is a single problem, you have to know French to enjoy all the etertainments which are in French. However, all staff speak good English.The staff is nice and well educated. The hotel is on the beach, 7-10 minutes driving to Hersonissos (better do not try to walk) but very close to Analipsi (5 minutes to walk on the left side) where you should try the Posseidon and other tavernas with excelent fish and greek dishes.
