Not That Great
When we got here, my father went inside to make a reservation. It took them about half an hour to tell him whether or not they had a room avavilable. We ended up staying in a smoking room. It had a horrendous smell. Just as we were going to sleep, my mother pointed out and that they had not changed the beds due to the fact that there was hair on the sheets and pillows. They sent someone up. When we woke up the elevator was out of order. My family and I were very unhappy due to the fact that we were paying 100 dollars a night. So we had to... more
Enjoyed the Relaxed Style
We stayed two nights in late Jan, and enjoyed the comfort, informality, and pool surroundings in the unseasonably high heat. Internet access allowed us to keep in touch and get local info. Before we booked, we read the reviews and were aware that the hotel was about 3 miles from Duval St. Because parking downtown appeared to be $2-4 per hour we were determined to use the buses at 1$/trip. The hotel was forthcoming with a bus timetable, and buses stop almost outside the hotel. They are irregular, but frequent enough and run til late. The... more
Average, but Nice
Our stay at the Radisson Key West Inn consisted of three nights in early September 2005. The Radisson is just your typical hotel in a tropical place like Key West, just ok. Check-in was fine. The staff is nice. There's a concierge that was helpful in planning a day trip...we took a boating adventure at their advice and were very satisfied. The rooms are decent. We had no problems with cleanliness. It appeared as though they might have just remodeled them with some updating. There's "sleep number" beds in each room. They were very... more
Okay Experience
After reading all the negative reviews of the Radisson, I approached it with trepidation. It was the only hotel we could book, given the weekend was pretty crammed because of the powerboat races. The hotel itself isn't that bad. Even though from the outside it might look a little shabby, the inside isn't all that bad. We got a room with 2 double beds (non-sleep number), which was allright. The room itself was clean. The pool area was okay as well, a nice ambiance with the Splash bar. All in all, a pretty average experience. If you could,... more
Beware!
|we seemed to have been very unlucky with the desk staff on the day we booked in. Despite a 3 day booking we were given a room (pool side) overlooking the car park! After a request we were eventually moved to gulf side and you could actually see the Gulf. We asked for a king bed and were given two queens which took up a lot of space. When we asked for a King size bed (same size room) we were told that Expedia guests (all paid in advance) more or less had to take it or leave whatever was available and had no choice, could not make special... more
Housekeeper Stole My Fiance's Dress
Do Not....I repeat DO NOT stay at this hotel. My fiance and I recently stayed at the Radisson and during our stay one of her dresses was stolen by a housekeeper. When it was brought to the attention of the hotel manager he said that there was nothing he could do. He trusted his housekeeper and that "the dress wouldn't fit her anyway". Basically calling us liars. He was extremely rude to the both of us to the point where he brought my fiance to tears. By the way, it is not a Radisson. It is franchised. When we asked the manager to speak with... more
Great Hotel
Outstanding hotel for the money! I did not see any thing else there as nice unless you wanted to pay 400$ or more. Nice to have Dennys on site 24 hours, food was extra nice for a Dennys. Hotel/pool clean and service was fine. The staff was outstanding and the concierge "Paula" was patient and very helpful: one of the best in regards to knowing what to do and how to do it. Parking was easy and we had a large truck to park. Yes, a shuttle would have been great, but you are right next door to the trolley tour. In addition other means of... more
Very Nice Room!
My wife and I just came back from a 1 night stay (June 3) booked by phone $160 per night, they gave us a HUGE suite: Room 604. I wasn't told by the front desk but the room must have been an upgrade, the room was like 2 rooms in one with views to the pool and to the bay. 2 separate a/c units 1 king size bed and a sofa bed, the room was immaculate, probably recently refurbished. Although we didn't use the pool, we could tell from our room that other guests were having a great time, live music by the pool, etc Only drawback (not to us)... more
Wonderful stay
Our family stayed at the Radisson for 6 nights from 4/30 - 5/6. We had a wonderful stay. We were upgraded to a suite - which faced Hwy 1/Gulf - we were on the 5th floor. I had read many reviews about the traffic noise - but we did not really notice it. I think it was a bit noisier on the lower floors. Our room was wonderful. Plenty of room for us and our 11 and 6 yr old children. We very much enjoyed the Sleep Number bed and down bedding.....we slept like babies!!! It is my understanding that all rooms are being refitted with these... more
Very Fine
Pros = Good Interior Room Décor, Nice View, Looks Upscale, Good Service Cons = Bad Carpet, Smell from AC (which can be easily improved if they want) Overall I am happy with my 3 nights stay. You have a option for Bay View(which is noisy) or Pool view, I picked Bay view but if you are sensitive then go for Pool view which is fine. The bay view lift is torn down and gives a bad feeling BUT room interior was excellent and room service was good. Free parking BUT anyways you will spend that money on taxi 5 mins ride taking($16) to... more
