Hyatt Key West

We just got back from Key West and our trip was absolutely flawless. The Hyatt was everything we wanted and more. The grounds are immaculate, food amazing, and the service was top notch. The staff at the Hyatt really care about their guests and want you to have the best experience possible. The hotel bed was so comfortable with a down comforter and clean white sheets. We just got back from Key West and loved the Hyatt. The location is excellent. It's located right on Front Street which is close to all of the great restaurants and bars. However, it's far enough away so you do not hear all the pedestrian traffic and noise. The Pool was wonderful (as are the poolside drinks) and the swim raft was great to lay out on. Note that if you spot a huge fish in the water it's just a tarpon and it's harmless. Great oceanviews. The rooms were very nice as well. Great convenient hotel. Excellent location, close to everything. Just make sure you book through Expedia or Priceline- it definately makes a difference in price. We liked it so much we asked to stay another night but were told the room would be double what we paid the night prior.

We booked this hotel with Priceline for a quater of the advertised price for two nights during spring break. I think anyone who could complain about this tropical paradise is quite spoiled. The room was beautiful with new bedding and lots of pillows. We had 2 tv's (no fighting with the kids). There was a manager's reception with free beer (Heinken, Amstel,) rum punch and champagne. My husband and I just returned from the Hyatt Key West and Marina and cannot say one bad thing about the hotel or the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is a bit crowded, (not the hotel's fault, people lay their towels out and never use the chairs, it's due to rude and inconsiderate guests) they also have a wonderful sun deck on the water that is just a nice and sunny all day long. The food and drinks were great. The hotel is in the perfect location, we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

My husband, 16 year old daughter, and I just returned from 6 nights in the Keys including 3 nights at the Hyatt Key West. We wouldn't stay here again. We paid the government rate of $228 (plus tax) per night. Our first room wouldn't accommodate 3 persons, although we had made reservations for 3. The next room was small but clean. My husband and I recently traveled with another couple to the Hyatt in Key West for 3 nights. We both had very clean rooms with nice views off of our balconies. We had problems with our electronic door- the battery had died in the door but it was quickly repaired. The pool and the beach areawere wonderful; however, they do fill up quickly. Motel quality for a rate of $520.00 a night. Rooms were not clean, there was used linen in the hamper in the bathroom and hair stuck to the wall. Furniture was ugly, worn down and too big for the akward shaped and small "suite". Room service was average food, poorly presented and dropped on the table with no attempt to serve. Pool too small and shady after 2 PM. The view of the water is nice if you don't mind the noise of power boats at 6 AM. Front desk attitude unhelpful. I was a little nervous about what we would find when we arrived at this hotel, but I can't think of one thing to complain about. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has all the water activities you may want and the staff is available to make recommendations...For those wanting a larger beach, there are other beaches on the island. We stayed at the Hyatt Key West expecting the quality of the "Regency" part of Hyatt, and were disappointed. At $460/nt, it certainly wasn't worth the $$$ other than for the convenience of having Duvall and Mallory Square within walking distance. The rooms were average. The pool was small, and because it was surrounded by the hotel buildings, we had to follow the sun around the pool. The beach was a sliver of sand.
