Crowne Plaza La Concha

Visited KW Feb 05 and stayed at La Concha for 2 nights. 2 adults and 2 kids (18 and 15 boys). Hotel was great. Location even better. We were in and out of the hotel all day. Pool is small but adequate. KW is a fun location. Would definitely go back to La Concha.

My boyfriend and I stayed at La Concha in June 2004 for our 1 year anniversary. I highly recommend requesting a room with a pool view (opposite side of the street) it can get pretty noisy otherwise. We changed our room for that reason. The hotel management was very accomodating. They bought us breakfast the next morning. I really enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel is superb! we stayed at the crowne on Jan 14. I am writing this in hopes that you follow these reviews like we did before traveling. Let me tell you that this place in my opinion is the creme de la creme. First off I was a little concerned with a couple things that I read on this site. I stayed in this hotel from 1/6/05 10 1/10/05. This was my third visit to this hotel and the first time that I went away unhappy. I would rate this hotel no higher than two stars. The following are some of the problems we encountered: 1) The elevator to the room was in poor shape. The carpet was torn, had spots on it, and needed vacuuming. My friend and I stayed at La Concha for one night on 1/11/05. We made our reservation through hotwire on 1/09/05 and paid $115 a night. We drove down from Miami left at 6:30am and experienced little traffic. We arrived at La Concha around 9:45am and drove into the driveway to check our bags not figuring they would have a room ready for us. We have just returned from a caribbean cruise/Miami holiday and unfortunately only had time for 1 night in Key West. We stayed at La Concha and had a great time. It has parking at $16 per night, necessary if you have a car and is ideally located on Duval Street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again when we visit next time. Breakfast is very good value for money.

Spent two nights here last week. Location is the best, parking was easy and rooms were nice enough. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked great (and it was HOT outside!!). Didn't notice noise, but I had requested a room on the top floor in the back so that may have helped. BEWARE of one thing. When we went to check out, the charge for the room was wrong. My fiance and I just returned from key west (july 8-11). We thought the hotel was pretty nice. Everyone was very friendly and helpfull. The room was clean and quiet, we didnt hear noise from other rooms or toilets flushing like someone commented in their review. The AC worked very well. Good clean showers. The decor in the lobby is not as bad as the "hated it" writer wrote, we thought it was fine. We never ate or drank at the hotel, there is just to much to do and see outside to stay inside. W stayed at the Crowne Plaza Key West (La Concha) last October 2003 during Halloween. We have nothing but good things to say about it. It was perfect. It was right on Duval St. We could walk to everything. We had a room that overlooked the pool area. The noise level was not bad there. The guy behind the desk said not to get a room over the street, I guess those rooms were less soundproof! I would definately stay there again!! Had a great time!

Excellent location, used Priority Club points, so price was right. Room was clean and decent sized, its an older hotel so should be given some slack on noise. Not only is pool small, it was warmer than the air. Desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. Parking is $13 for members of Priority Club. Better than other hotels I have stayed at in Key West, but not overly memorable.
