Loved the Pink Palace
from cihan
hello everyone, I have travelled to Pink Palace in September 2006 and booked with K and S holidays. Let me say that everything was out of this world from start to end. Location is beatiful, we loved hisaronu and oludeniz. My only problem was the distance from the beach but once you get there it is a lovely beach. I had a problem with my room which was on the ground floor but I contacted K and S holidays and they have changed my room to 2nd floor. I will definately go back again in no time!!!!
A great deal for the price
from ndafina
I went there on holiday with my parents two years ago and am planning a second visit with my new hubby. It really is an unbeatable deal for the price. The surroundings are beautiful. The private beach is located on a lagoon and there's plenty of beach chairs. The water was so warm, it was like soaking in a bath tub. The hotel staff were gracious and accommodating. The food was plentiful and delicious. Our rooms, though basic, were quite comfortable and clean. I really can't think of anything bad to say about the place. As has been mentioned by previous reviewers, if you're a picky traveler, by all means go to an all-inclusive five-star in Spain or Greece, but I'm pretty sure that you won't find a nicer travel experience for the price.
Pleasant Surprise
from Leanne84
Me, my Mum and my Sister stayed in the Pink Palace in October and I have to disagree with the negative reviews i read before i went. We went with an open mind after reading poor reviews. However our room was spacious - even with 3 beds - although the bathroom was quite small we expected that. The room was clean and the maids came in every day. I'm not sure if the sheets were changed in the 7 days we were there though. The restaurant bar staff were friendly but one of the receptionists was abrupt and didnt seem to want to be there. The food was good with different variations of chicken, fish and other meat dishes each day. The breakfasts were repetitive but there was a chef who cooked you omelettes and eggs. although some people who were staying there seemed to complain at his every attempt at cooking them. The local town wasn't far away and we went out for one meal there as we had been stuck in the hotel for 2 days due to the thunderstorms which carried ou for 3 days in total. The hotel also has a shuttle service to a lovely private beach. The swimming pool area was very nice and there were plenty of sunbeds. The restaurant was under cover but outside which meant in the storm we had to go outside to get food or drinks. The dog was very calm and had its own cushions to sleep on which did not seem to be for guests or missing from reception. The only problem with this holiday was the thunderstorms. You pay for what you get and it was in a lovely setting in the hills with gorgeous scenery not far from Hisoranou or Oludeniz. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a basic quiet break with family or partner.

Pink Palace is a great hotel...
from WPBNMB
We stayed at the pink palace last year and are heading back again this year for three weeks (horray!) Food Turkish style although becoming more westernised is good unless you are a fussy eater(in which case go to Marmaris or Spain, or Blackpool). The drinks are local and a bit weak for the spirits but it's free. Surroundings Superb. Mountain backdrop and minutes to anywhere by bus or on foot. Staff Excellent and they can not do enough for you. Very freindly and they love kids. Rooms Clean and tidy with twin beds(mostly). They are basic but then you are certainly not paying 5* prices so what do people expect. The maid comes in every day and does a fantastic job. Pool V clean but a tad cold but the sea is very warm. Trips There are plenty of great places to go and see but shop around as you will find cheaper prices in town and ask about guides stopping off for 1/2 hour at jewellry shops as this can be a drag and make the journeys to the trips longer. Value for money 2nd to none. I would challenge anyone to find anything cheaper for the same services. All in all excellent value for the money. If you want a better class of hotel then put your hands deeper into your pockets.
Pink Palace Hotel
from midstraveller2006
We enjoyed two weeks at the end of July/beginning of August at this friendly hotel in Hisranou. The hotel is simple but kept clean with a very polite, friendly and hard working staff. The hotel offers an all inclusive package which is excellent if you have children as there are drinks available all day long. Meals were, we thought, very good given the price paid, I am not sure how Turkish but we had no complaints and were never tempted to eat out. They are served in a buffet style, consisting of breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cakes and dinner. The friendly atmosphere is reflected by the guests who quickly adopted the relaxed style of the hotel. The Turks were all very friendly, which is a little off putting to the reserved English at first, some cannot cope with it. Our 16 year old daughter was very popular with the entertainments staff but, after a quick chat they acted very honourably and looked after her, dispite the interest. The rule applies that treat people as you wish to be treated, the Turks are very pleasant. The hotel is on the main road to Oludeniz and quite busy, the turks are dangerous drivers, as the gate was rarely locked you would need to keep an eye on very young wandering children. The area is beautiful, we went on various trips which are worth the money, if you can afford it. For us it was a very relaxing holiday, our first time in Turkey, a country, area and hotel we would recommend to reasonably minded people
Ignore the bad reviews...
from K_Shel
I think the bad comments directed towards this hotel are VASTLY unfair. Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from a week at the Pink Palace - travelling with Scottravel holidays. Location - A great base - a few minutes walk from the main town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Dolmuses can be picked up right outside the door and a free bus takes you down to their sister hotel a few times a day - note the hotel is in Olu Deniz in a gorgeous little spot but about 20(?) mins walk from the main beach area. We didn't want to lie on the beach but have a wander round the town so the day we got the free bus we picked up an ice cream at the beach bar in the hotel and started walking back into town. A couple of minutes later the bus driver came past us in the bus as we walked along and stopped - 'you going back into town?' he asked? we said yes and he said 'hop in, I'll drop you off!' By that time he was out of sight of the hotel so didn't care about the hotel - hotel service thats run! Rooms & Common areas...... The hotel is very clean - the rooms were cleaned daily - and if you make it obvious you want new towels - I did this by putting the towels in the shower or sink or sitting on toilet lid - you get new towels (a bath and hand towel each - plus a bath mat on a few occasions) every day. Our bedding was also changed once during our stay. The bedrooms are not TINY - not huge but certainly not tiny - and the bathroom was typical to most holiday bathrooms. Small but the shower was great and powerful and everything was clean. The balcony was lovely - but we rarely used it because we were all inclusive - only to hang out beach towels out! The air conditioning was great - and we also had a mini fridge in our room to keep and drink we might have cold. The pool was immaculately clean & there was PLENTY of sun loungers - and the restaurant and bar areas were never left untidy. Within minutes your plates & glasses would be collected. There was also some gym equipment and a ping pong table in an open air area under the reception - which we never used. Yes - there was some wasps - but the most docile wasps I've ever come across in my life. They were like flies and didn't buzz around you at all really. Food & Drink - I'm a veggie so i was a little worried about the food. But no complaints from me - the salad bar was fab and although my boyfriend said he was a bit fed up of chicken - they had a great and varied selection of food - and plenty of it! At 4pm you get chips and burgers for an hour which would satisfy the fussy kids or adults too. But do remember people! You aren’t in the UK – so you won’t get McDonalds, curries and fish and chips – its good hearty food. Enjoy it. I did. There was also soup every night too - but it was far too hot for soup! so you could have 3 courses easily and could go up as often as you wanted. If we had been there 2 weeks we would have probably have eaten out a night or two for some variety - a steak or lamb for him and the Veggie restaurant in town for me! - but it was not because the food was not nice or that there was not enough of it. There was drinks machines giving you water, juice and coffee 24 hours a day. I got juice and a coffee at 2am one morning! and you can take up an empty water bottle or flask and fill it up to take away for the day if you are heading to the beach or on a trip. Vodka, Gin, raki, brandy and some odd looking liquors were the all inclusive spirits and there was white wine, red wine and beer too. there was lemonade, coke, diet coke and soda water and a kind of fanta style juice on tap too. Plenty to drink and they are not mean with the measures!!! They also had imported drink and crisps and ice creams available but these were not included in the all inclusive price. Staff Friendly and helpful. Top marks to the tireless staff. Poor things never got a day off but were still cheery after doing the breakfast lunch dinner and bar shift every day! The entertainment staff were on a go-slow by the time we got there - as it was nearing the end of season - which was fine by me - so can't comment much on that but they did offer darts in the morning and water aerobics in the afternoon. The ents staff were young guys so they liked to chat to the good looking young single females who lapped it up! But they weren't over bearing. The Music was a mix of US hip hop, Turkish music and UK hits - and that was played on the load speakers all day - but it wasn't overpowering. The Turkish night on Fridays is a good laugh. All in all - a great little hotel and I would recommend it to others - good value and great holiday! For those with children - No, you won't have the all day children’s holiday club for the kids as you get with bigger holiday companies - but then you aren't paying the bigger price either. Give it a try people!
Chilled Out

Like most other reviewers of this hotel we went there with an open mind as it appears you either love this Hotel or want to leave after a couple of days. Some of the comments are true, the rooms are very small and you do have to have one foot in the shower when you use the toilet but at the end of the day it is just a base. The food is very good, nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff and the entertainment staff try very hard with limited resources. The hotel is ideally situated for the town centre which is expanding rapidly and caters for almost every cuisine and the national park with the blue lagoon is only a short and very cheap cab ride away, about £4 between 4 people so why bother using the overcrowded but even cheaper dolmuses( shared taxis) The area is stunning you cannot help but fall in love with the place and you will defineately want to return again. Overall the Hotel was very clean and friendly and although it is not really 3 star we had no complaints at all. If you are unsure about this hotel after reading the mxed reviews dont worry you will have a great time, you will not meet a more friendly bunch of staff anywhere Thumbs up for the Pink Palace
horror for honeymoon couple
from raggydollpuss
Spent nearly £1000.00 booking through Vision holidays for my daughter and husband for a suprise honeymoon and what a suprise they got. Rooms extremely tiny, smelly, 2 single beds far far apart, (made aware for honeymoon couple), unsafe, dark and dingy etc etc. The bathroom so small you sit on the toilet and you are half in the shower!! They hadn't been there 5mins and I had my daughter on the phone in floods of tears, as well as me in the end it sounds HORRIFIC. Vision have been contacted this end and in Turkey with ther rep sent out even though hotel staff said he was uncontactable until the next day and told unable to change rooms until Friday. Rep says the only alternative is much the same even though a 4 star and if they dont like it they will send them home!!! as no other hotel supposedly in area to send them to. PLEASE STAY AWAY. What should have been a happy relaxing honeymoon has turned into an expensive nightmare. NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE!!!
We had a lovely time there.

We booked this holiday on the last minute and then read the reviews. As they were a very mixed bag, we were apprehensive and didn't expect too much. Having spent a week there with my mum, sister and three children I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The meals were buffet style with typical turkish dishes and were all delicious. The rooms were basic but comfortable and the staff were fantastic. The hotel runs a free bus service which runs twice a day to a private beach on the blue lagoon. We found this great because the kids could swim safely and pedaloes and canoes were available much cheaper than on the main beaches (and the sunbeds were free). I would certainly go back to this hotel. We booked it through Hantours, a Turkish company and got a great deal.
This review is both honest and true. I've just spent a long week here. On arrival you will be greeted by 2 very hungry looking dogs. The main reception looks very dark and gloomy and so do the staff. The night watchman speaks very little English so if you need any... more
