Wonderful place for spending a family vacation!!
10 / 10
Feb 2012, Liisi

I spent a week at the Pink Palace last summer with my family and we loved it. Me, my husband and our 2 little children had a great time. The hotel was located near the beach and surrounded by mountains, needless to say, the view from our room was breath-taking.
The beach was about a 5-minute walk away and it was lovely. The food was very good and there was always a lot of dishes to choose from, so everyone would get to eat what they liked best.
There was a lot to do and see and there were wonderful options for families with children. I would definitely recommend Pink Palace as a family vacation destination, we loved it there and can't wait to return!

Awful Place!!!! Go at your Peril!!!!

This review is both honest and true. I've just spent a long week here. On arrival you will be greeted by 2 very hungry looking dogs. The main reception looks very dark and gloomy and so do the staff. The night watchman speaks very little English so if you need any assistance in the night, good luck. The rooms are very small and the shower was built for a child. If you sit on the toilet your feet will be in the shower tray. There was no hot water in the morning but you do get hot water in the evening. The beds are very hard. You get clean towels and bed linen every 3 days during your stay. Don't make any noise because the walls are paper thin and you will be told not only by the staff but by other holiday makers. If you are all inclusive take plenty of money with you because the food is dismal. You get 2 choices of main course which one will be chicken in different shades of brown. A large salad choice but it's the same every day. You will have to share the bread with the birds as the eating area is outside but under cover. The food is left open for the local insects and wild life such as mice, cats, dogs etc to land on. The pool was freezing but it is October. The pool area is tired and in much need of repair, jagged tiles, ripped wet mats, broken sunbeds, no life guard. In general the place is in much need of a total revamp, including the staff.I would give this hotel a 1 star rating as I have been to better 2 star's in the past.

Club Chicken Palace!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sep 2011, Louise

This hotel looks great in the pictures when you are booking your holiday from home & don't get me wrong, the pool/hotle looks nice when you are outside as it is surrounded by mountains.
However, the actual hotel & quality of food for an all inclusive holiday was disappointing.
Chicken EVERY day - including stew & soup in 35 degree heat. There was salad available everyday too, however, it was the same salad each day, which makes you wonder how long it has been sitting there for?!?! There were 2 days out of the 7 days we were there where the food was what you would expect (i.e. BBQ & Kebabs - but again, this was chicken).
On the first day we arrived, we got to the hotel at 10.30pm. At this point I was so hungry I could have eaten my arm (as there was no in flight meal provided). When we arrived we expected that there would be food available (since it was all inclusive and the hotel knew we would be arriving), however, we were greeted with a receptionist that spoke little/no english and gave us a take away menu. So, we had to order pizza and pay for it ourselves.
Then to make matters worse, we were put in a matchbox room on the same floor as the reception floor. Needless to say, we got NO sleep at all that night due to all the noise. We were woken by the sounds of the music outside, people walking up and down the stairs - flip flops slapping on the tiled floor, people checking out at early hours of the morning dragging suitcases down the stairs and across the floor, hotel dog barking, cockeral on site...in the end, I finally went out at 5.15am and requested a room change but was told this could not done until 48 hours time (so we had 2 sleepless nights). When I spoke to the manager about reserving another room when it became available he was quite rude to me stating that "you'll just have to believe me when I say a room becomes available."
The hotel staff are very friendly (apart from the manager) - can't fault that.
I felt sorry for a few other couples there as well. E.g. a couple were on their honeymoon and they arrived on the same night as us. Their room was in the basement with 2 single beds (passion killer) - despite telling the hotel staff they were on their honeymoon. We met another elderly couple who had problem walking, yet, they placed them on the top floor (and the hotel does not have a lift).
Our second room was based on the top floor. This was much better and quieter with much more room. However, the walls were not that thick and you could still here movement and noises next door. Infact, after going from room 212 to 406, I felt I had been robbed as our first 2 days were hell and I immediately wanted to come home. The first room reminded me of something out of the inbetweeners film!
I think that if you are prepared for the basic (emphasis on basic), then this hotel may be suitable for you.
The all inclusive aspect is not at all what I expected either with certain restrictions (that you wouldn't expect for an all inclusive service, regardless of the star rating for the accomdation).
The evening entertainment was pretty poor too.
Turkey is a lovely country, but I would never book with club pink/chicken palace again!

Me and my family have been going for over 20 yrs to Turkey and 10 yrs to Pink Palace.
If you want to go to turkey go here!
Why don't you like it we don't like we love itttttttt.
Food:There food is excellent.People don't realize the cooks get up early in the heat and work there bums of for us and we love it.
Bar:At the bar its great you get alcohol after 10:30 and after 23:30 you pay a cheap price. You can buy twix, red bull ice creams and go on the laptop for 5 lira a hour but you may need help translating!!!!!!!!!!
Rooms:We've been in a few rooms and theve all been clean we've had no problems.
Everything is so good we can't complain!
So if you don't like it 1 thing to say to you GET A LIFE!

Just returned from a two week holiday at The Pink Palace and enjoyed every minute. The rooms were basic, but very clean and having air con included in price was brilliant. Food is great - plenty of choice and excellent, friendly service. ideally situated for transport links, but not too lively at night. I will definately be going back, met some lovely people and feel totally relaxed.

An honest commentary of this hotel

Pink Palace,
worst hotel we have ever stayed at.....
We generally believe that a during a holiday, a hotel is somewhere to sleep at night, so we have never worried about the odd little problem, but.....
Reception - our room was on the same floor as the reception, which meant you didn't sleep till everyone else went to bed, any noise, including the telephone warble, reverberated around and was amplified by the tile covered reception and corridors. The receptionist and the entertainment girl had to be asked to keep the noise and laughter down at 1:10am on our 3rd night, they blamed the other guests. Got to sleep about 2 that morning. We could have asked to move but the Hotel was apparently full.
Rooms - the one we had, had somewhere to hang our clothes and a couple of shelves, we ended up living out of our cases. We switched bulbs around so we could see what we were doing. Windows do not lock. By the way, you can hear everything said and everything moved in the next room. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. You have to hang towels over the windows as the curtains don't cover them and it is very bright in the morning. Avoid room 215 at all costs.
Security - the hotel strongly recommends spending £20 for 2 weeks for security boxes. Could be because the room windows do not lock.
Beds - one pillow and one cover that covers your feet or your shoulders, not both and woe betide guests that get any sort of sunscreen or tattoo in on bedding as charges will follow.
Towels - on the first day we were supplied with 2 large and 2 small. Had to ask on 4 days out of the first 5, for the same amount as each day only 3 towels were left by housekeeping. On the other day my wife was unwell so we didn't let housekeeping in.
Don't expect the reception to help, I was told they had run out of towels. Incidentally, guests are expected to use the towels for three days before they are changed.
Toilet - we are slim people, this is fortunate because the shower cubicle is so small, you can barely move and no luck if someone turns on a cold tap in some other room, you will get scalded if you're not fast enough getting out.
Taps drip constantly unless you use Herculean strength to turn them off and when the taps are turned on, they spray over the top of the sink. I reported this and leaking toilet pipes to reception, there were no repairs carried out during our stay, so the fourth towel, when we got it was used to mop up the floor.
Television - approx 12" screen, with 2 English speaking news channels, the rest in Turkish. Better than nothing when you are kept awake with leaky taps and a noisy reception after midnight.
Restaurant - great if you want eggs every morning for breakfast and chicken for every other meal, variety included, chicken or chicken with some fly covered vegetables.
A guest suggested the restaurant serve baked beans, the hotel manager told them, that with the money that the tour operators pay him he can't afford anything new. The guest also said that they used to serve pizza but the oven was broken, it now sits against the hotel wall unused.
Breakfast at 7 till 10 and late breakfast 10 till 10:30. The restaurant always stopped serving at 10 and not 1 minute later. No omelettes are made until 8:30 and then the queue is huge.
Evening meal from 7 till 9. Each day this seemed to stretch to a later start time. The worst was 7:20, touch luck if you arrange to go somewhere, means you have to go hungry or go late.
Flies - I've never seen so many flies, the hotel has a fly zapping thing in the restaurant but I only ever saw it switched on once at 10:30 pm. The flies crawl all over the displayed food, the food you are eating, the drinks glasses and you.
Birds - fly around and help themselves to the uncut bread and the food you are eating sometimes.
Bar - bar staff get into trouble if they serve drinks to all inclusive guests after 11pm. The management watch out for this on video cameras at the bar and around the hotel.
Pool - looks very nice, took days to get near it, you have to reserve a lounger with towels, your own obviously. We were told that any towels on loungers before 7am would be removed, that never happened. I tried a couple of times but every lounger was taken, even as early as 6:30am.
Staff - always very friendly, even under their difficult circumstances, it seems they have an area under the pool with no windows, to sleep at night.
Manager - This hotel makes all-inclusive guests wear wrist bands, when a band catches on something and breaks, it should be replaced immediately. This is acceptable, but the Manager told my wife, very rudely, to go and get a new band, NOW, please. This was after he argued with another guest and grabbed the wrist of yet another woman for the same reason.
We met many terrific people who kept coming back to Hisaronu and these people often meet with friends from previous holidays. I was told by one of these people, that the frieds and the resort are the only reasons they return, it is certainly not the hotel. They all say the same thing, this Hotel's standards have gone down.
If you like it, fine, but you will get better holidays for the same price with far superior hotels.

arrived at 19.30,left in reception by rep who was gone in a flash..very dark and dingy reception area, shown to our room on ground floor, what a shock!!! it was smaller than a prison cell, and hardley any light, just went down to dinner after a very long day, food awful,no choice, people smoking in dining area, birds flying around helping themselves to the bread, which was always uncovered... changed rooms after a very noisy night and heated discussion with the manager, who wanted to charge us £50,,refused to pay, manager relented, rep not very helpful, room a little better, met some nice people, had some fab days out...the area is lovely, very central,so would go back to turkey, but not to the pink palace...

People do stay and drink all day we dont but are still penalised when we want to socialise after a day out rooms are basic but so much to do no time is spent in there the lager is not efes. no entertainment as such what do you want for the price you pay lots of steps to work of the lovely food we go back year after year just to check if they are going to serve us in the bar after 11pm by beautiful nesh see you soon love DAVID xxxx

Just got back off our 2nd holiday in the Pink Palace. We love it here the scenery is breath taking. Staff are so nice and helpful, rooms are clean and sheets changed regularly. Poolside is great but do get towels down early for best spots. Entertainment is so so but suited us. The food is really amazing I work as a chef and was blown away at the choice we had each day 10/10 . love the town hisaronu, but dont like the local market very intimidating. Cant wait to go again and highly recommend a turkish shave for the men its a real treat 9/10
