The Hotel Castilla was beautiful inside and out. The staff was very friendly especially the restaurant staff who took a shine to my daughter. Although the brochure said it was a family hotel, I beg to differ. Through our 2 week break we met only 5 families with children.... more

Castilla Hotel
We have just returned from a week full board at the castilla Hotel. This hotel is rated as 4*. I am 39years of age and my son 11. Food The food was excellent with a variety of dishes for all types. There was healthy options along with the usual chips and fish on offer. The food was fresh and well presented there was always something nice to eat. The deserts were also tasty. Drinks were a ittle expensive a small 200ml of coke 1.50 euro ( a child could drink 4 of these at one meal alone) The staff The staff were all without exception very friendly and polite. I found them very helpfull, you were always greeted with a smile as they go about their business. The Hotel The hotel was spotless, The bed rooms were cleaned on a regular basis although the beds were a little hard, the rest of the hotel was also spotless there was always someone cleaning. The pool was small but adequate. We were at this hotel in mid Feb where the weather was pleasant with some hot days. The hotel at this time of year appeared to cater for older people (retired pensioners) therefore the hotel entertainment consisted of line dancing, ballroom dancing, afternoon and evening dancing. Not the type of entertainment for an 11 yr old. The lift to the bed rooms was painfully slow and small. If you require internet connection the hotel does have a PC but the cost is expensive 1 euro for 10mins. If you require more than 10mins you should used the internet cafe over the road 1 euro per hour and the telephones are the same in the internet cafe cheap 1 euro for 12 mins a real bargain. This hotel is an excellent choice for an older people with excellent food and facilities, and good as a base for young people.
Comfortable Stay
This was our third stay at the Castilla in three years. We have always stayed in the October half term and have always enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Hotel kept very clean and the staff as friendly as ever. The hotel is located in a quiet location- only about a 10 mins stroll down to the front. The food was ok but not as good as previously. However that said there is always something to have as there is always a choice.
Great Hotel!
Hi, Me, my wife and my 2,5 yrs old son stayed at Castilla Hotel for 5 nights during the last week of August. Here it is my review: - Location: very good. Just 10 minutes walking to the beach, you can take a nice path to get there, when you exit the hotel, just walk some steps to the left and you`ll find the right way. It´s nice because it`s not full of noise. - Accomodation: the rooms are very clean, big, the bathroom is big too. The beds are ok. You hace a fridge and a big balcony :-D. there is also a very good fitted wardrobe. The air aconditioned is very good, not noisy, and you can select the ºC. - Staff: very helpful and kind. - Food: The buffet is just great. Plenty of choice. And quality very high. - swimming pool: there is a pool divided in two by a little bridge. One is for babies, and the other for adults. It's big enough for the people in the hotel. - Shows: every night there are shows but it's not the strongest point of this hotel I think. It's a very calm hotel, not very noisy. The negative point is for the lift, a bit slow at main hours...
Hotel Castilla Benidorm Brilliant
We have just returned from 11 nights at the castilla hotel benidorm. This hotel is outstanding in all aspects. Probabley this best four star hotel we have stayed in. All staff at this hotel are extremely helpful. Maid service excellant. towels changed every day. Restaurant very clean and well laid out. Food is of excellant quality and plenty of choice especially for british residents. Pool area very clean and sunbeds and chairs of a high quality. Pool itself not over large but extremely clean. Only downside if it can be called that, is the entertainment is not the best i must say. To finish, i would add that every area of this hotel is extremely clean and in pristene condition.
Great Hotel
Just come back from a weeks holiday in Benidorm, at this hotel. Clean well run, good food etc, the hotel is aimed at elderly people, but that wasnt a problem. I dont eat meat or fish so found meals at times were hard for me, but there was lots of salads etc. Did ask for a picnic lunch, and had tuna fish included!! dont think there is many vegatarians in spain at all. Would certainly go back to this hotel.
Nice Hotel
Hi everyone, My Partner and myself stayed at the Castilla Hotel in August 2005 for our 2 weeks Summer holidays. We found the hotel itself to be very beautiful inside and out. The rooms were very nice and always cleaned in the morning, food was excellent and the Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only let down was the hotel entertainment, it was aimed at a much higher age group. There was a lot of elderly couples in the hotel but also some young couples and the entertainment was more for the elderly. I would definately recommend this hotel to friends and family if they were looking for a relaxing holiday. Many thanks Susan and Scott Edinburgh
loved everything there!!
myself and my boyfriend went to the hotel castilla in july this year 2005. As we arrived at the hotel all staff were very friendly. the hotel was beautiful. It had a lovely entrance dining room and bar. The pool was lovely and clean but could of been a little bit bigger. The bedrooms were quite nice to, u had a hairdryer, fridge, air con and a privite bath room. The sheets and towels were changed every day by the maids. The dining room was lovely and so was the food. It was a buffet style meal which was a bonas. The only thing about the hotel was the price of drinks. They were a little expensize but not to bad. They also provided ice lollies etc for you to buy while you were lazing by the pool. The hotel was situated in the perfect spot. It was only a short walk to the bars and the beech. at night you couldnt hear any noise from the bars or any clubs which was great. The hotel castilla is great for families and couples who want a relaxing and exciting holiday. I would deafantly give it 5 out of 5.
4 Star Castilla
Husband and I have just spent an enjoyable week at the Castilla, Benidorm. Thomson 4 * Full Board basis - food/variety and vegetarian choice is good. We've both put on weight! Excellent hotel location for access to new and old town, quiet atmosphere in hotel both day and night. Negatives: entertainment programme consists of the half hour show in evening eg Spanish dancers, singers, pianist/singer. Lifts broke down twice in a week with people in - engineers quick to repair but because of this we used the stairs all week to and from 5th floor (hotel has 11 floors). Next time we'd ask for 1st floor room. Pool quite small. Otherwise excellent.
Nice and Tidy
Hi everybody, Myself and the wife stopped at the Castilla and found it very nice. The breakfast was tasty, Full English (sausages and beans tasted like they did at home) and HP sauce! Rooms were ok, we were lucky to face the pool. Toilets in the Bar area were very clean. A nice touch was morning and afternoon a waitress came round the pool with sandwiches or cakes. The only down-side was the pool.cold and not much happening. All this on a Late Deal, I even filled in the Hotel questionaire and received a reply from them when I arrived home, Great! Thank you Jeff & Janet
Brilliant
I went to the Castilla hotel last year in July-August, it was my secong time in Benidorm, the last hotel we went too was a 4 star Flamenco Oasis we went on the first day it opened and there were a lot of mishaps but the Castilla was exceptional it was clean big and the food was average but it was situated perfectly by al the nightlife but also i didnt keep you up in the morning the swimming pool is deep and quite small but very quiet in the mornings, it gets busier in the afternoons but only for a couple of hours, the beach is only a 5 or 6 minute walk away and is the main reason for me and my family going to Benidorm, I still think the LOevante beach is the best side of Benidorm but i would definately go back to Castilla hotel! And you should too!
