This is a very nice and pleasant hotel very clean, good choice of food, friendly staff and in a good location with no kids.
I would recommend this hotel to all who don't have kids with them as it makes a great difference to the holiday, especially when you have had your time having the kids at your side for years and they have all grown up now.
It's very peaceful but just 5 mins away there is plenty to do.
Thomson were our tour operators and very good operation, flights both to and from Benidorm half an hour early.
Would definitely go back to Castilla.

The Hotel Castilla was beautiful inside and out.
The staff was very friendly especially the restaurant staff who took a shine to my daughter.
Although the brochure said it was a family hotel, I beg to differ.
Through our 2 week break we met only 5 families with children. This in itself was a problem but only by the pool.
Like any child, they like to swim and splash and shout. My son accidentally splashed an old lady sunbathing close to the pool. In fact her sun longer was so close she may as well have been in the pool.
She complained non stop about everyone’s children as did a few of the older holiday makers. One of the parents went inside to complain about being ordered to take the children out of the pool; our rep said there was nothing to say our children couldn’t play.
This was the only problem all through the holiday.
Luckily my parents were staying in the hotel next door and the pool was thriving with swimmers from every generation, young and old.

My husband and I plus another couple stayed at the Castila hotel in March 2006 and had had a wonderful time. The food was second to none as was the service provided by the hotel staff, from the cleaners to the manager. Entertainment was almost non existent but there is so much to do in Benidorm it wasn't a problem. I would definitely stay at this wonderful hotel again although I don't know what it is like during the summer season as the pool was small and I think there may be a shortage of sun loungers, but for an early break it was great and all of the guest at that time were adults although they do accommodate children I don't think there is much for them to do.

Just had a two week holiday at the Castilla Hotel Benidorm, a superb hotel with great accommodation, pleasant staff making for a very friendly feel to the hotel. I give it a rating of nine as the only downside to the holiday was the entertainment, the only people catered for were the dancers as it was dancing in one form or another for 5 nights a week.
If food is one of the important things during your holiday then the Castilla is the place for you, superb food. We will be returning.
J.Blake.

The Castilla has now been upgraded to a 4 star hotel. It is situated in a quiet street within easy walking distance down the Yellow Brick Road (really a path) approx 10mins to the Levante beach. The hotel is very clean and the bedrooms have a hairdryer and also a fridge. (f.o.c.)
The food was varied and well cooked. The staff were very helpful especially in the Reception. Sunbeds could not be claimed until 9.00 a.m. so everyone had the same chance. There are many bars in the immediate area.

This was our second stay in the Castilla, hotel is fantastic, immaculate public areas, bedrooms cleaned every day and clean towels, sheets provided.
Hotel about a 10 minute stroll from main square and pubs/clubs, within walking distance but once you are back in hotel with door shut its just so peaceful!. Pool area clean although people did tend to put towels out very early in morning but as Benidorm has fantastic beaches, who needs the hotel pool?
Food amazing, so much to choose from and nicely presented also. Staff very friendly and efficient in reception and dining room areas. Would recommend the Castilla to anyone looking for a good hotel with good food and within walking distance of nightlife.

Beautiful hotel situated in a quite area of Levante, stylish rooms with everything you could want for. The pool area is well maintained and there were plenty of sunbeds even on the busiest of days.
It is a four star hotel in every area apart from the food which is the most basic I have ever seen, the best it got was a few king prawns and mussels, the queues were long as often the dishes were left empty and the pudding was mostly hot rice! If you eat out a lot but want a well maintained hotel then this is the place for you.
