Submitted By: Mr R LacksatanWhen you arrive at the apartments your not greeted by anyone, instead they just say 'theres your room now bugger off' more or less anyway! We were however finally greeted when we got into the room by a stench of something not to pleasant?
Tried to do a little self catering in the room but could only rustle up a few eggs to go with my soldiers as only one of the hobs worked!
Decided to scrub my plums after all the travelling so got into the ASDA price shower as they had definitely cut the cost on building it! Also I think the Andrex dog kept sneaking into the bathroom and taking the toilet paper as I'd never see any!
The list could go on and on about the apartments; Pool side opened at 9am and was closed at 5pm. Safety deposit boxes were outside by the pool so you had to get what you needed during the hours it was open. Towels were very small and walls were thin (could here our neighbour singing Elvis). All in all the apartments need doing up urgently!!!!!!!!!!
Had a fantastic time otherwise, hiring a car and seeing all of Corfu. Seen so many amazing sites up on the mountains looking down into the harbours, going to Corfu town at night, visiting Paxos and Parga (even seen Dolphins on the way back to shore). Came here to eat the Greek food which we loved. Taverna Agni is a must at Agni Beach and Pirgi Place in Pirgi were our favourites for proper food and not all those tacky english places like 'The Hairy Lemon' offering the usual c**p of english sausage, bacon and eggs, english this and english that. You go there to sample their culture not to over run it with ours!!!
Won't be going back to those apartments again but will definitely visit Corfu again sometime in the future.

Submitted By: Miss LJ EnglishThe only way you would be able to survive these rooms would be if you brought earplugs (the noise at night is unreal) and perhaps a mild sedative if you want to have a chance of sleeping at night.
Avoid Ipsos altogether in August, it really does get invaded with Italians, watch out if you're a young female as they like nothing better but to try and grab you and sleaze all over you. This is a damning review I know but I was bitterly disappointed as this was my fourth time in Corfu and I really didn't expect it to be like that.
I wont be back!

Submitted By: Mrs E WaltonThe local people were extremely friendly, the weather was fantastic and the scenery was beautiful. I would recommend eating at the Hairy Lemon, especially for a full English breakfast, but overall we never had one bad evening meal at any of the local tavernas or restaurants. After speaking with other holiday makers at our apartments they didn't have any complaints either.
Night-life is okay, nothing like the liveliness of Ayia Napa or Magaluf, but we didn't want that anyway. Basically one mile strip of bars and restaurants, but not a great deal for children to do.
The holiday was great for a weeks break, just relaxing, having a meal and a few drinks at night. We would definitely return again!!!

Submitted By:When reading these reviews we took ant powder but never even used it as it was fine and very clean. you could pay 6 euros a day for air con as it got very hot!!!
Take bath towels as the ones provided are very small. the cleaners came in and changed bedsheet and empty the bins twice a week. we were provided with 1 toilet roll.
We had a balcony over looking the street and every night mopeds and quad bikes ran up and down this was still going at 5 in the morning.
The pool was very clean and around it had many sun beds. it had a childrens play area and a childrens part of the pool. at the pool had a drinks and snack bar with places to sit. the pool was cool and really cooled you off after sun bathing.
The staff seemed nice but never speak to you. when we were getting picked up to go home at 11 at night we had to leave the hotel at 12 in the afternoon however the had a room where we could leave our bags and they had shower and a toilet we could use however they were not very clean.
The hotel is about 5 mins walk to the beach. it had lots of pubs and restaurants. we hired a quad bike and enjoyed it a lot. we also went to Dassia and got a glass bottom boat to Corfu Town. if you go to Ipsos you should definitely get the all day boat trip as we really enjoyed it. it took us to Paga in the mainland and a small island called Paxos. it was great. we also went to aqualand a waterpark it was very busy but we enjoyed it.
The hairy lemon pub was great for breakfast and you must definitely go to the grilll house as it has good food. also go to demitris's cafe as he is very friendly and serves great drinks.
Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely go back again but with earplugs :)

Submitted By: Miss CJ JohnsWhen we got there it wasn’t that bad and it just got better and better. I think the above people just went at the wrong time to be fair, because the hotel was clean, the pool was clean and the staff were friendly.
We met loads of people in our age group and ended up making some brilliant friends who we stay in touch with. I wouldn’t recommend it as a family resort; I think it’s more for the young people who aren’t going to spend all day there. The nightlife is amazing and there are some pretty fine staff!
All in all it was a great holiday, better than expected and I would definitely go there again!

Submitted By: Not SpecifiedRooms - if you want a quite room ask for the ones overlooking the pool (as we did and we were fine) as the front rooms all you can hear all night is mopeds and drunken Italians. Take ant powder as they are all over the kitchen. Take bath towels as the ones they provide you with are like hand towels. Take some bleach and bin bags as the cleaners only came in twice in two weeks, so you have to empty your own bins or the ants are there in vengeance. And finally some toilet roll as this is not provided.
Pool area - the pool area is always kept tidy and has a little play area for little ones and a small kids area of the pool. It doesn’t open till 9 and shuts at 7 so beware if you are having safety deposit boxes as these are in the pool area and it is locked up ! They only serve pizza and toasties so don’t be expecting any breakfast here and is closed when you arrive back of a night
Staff- not a lot to comment as they don’t really speak to you and if you ask the owner to do anything he fixes it with some cement! But you don’t really have to have anything to do with them. Also they do not have a courtesy room so beware as they said up until the last day that we could keep the room on until we left (10.30 at night) for 25 euros but then said we had to be out by 4 and as we had booked a trip this was no good, but after searching then for another room in Ipsos to shower in they were all full, a kind couple let us use their room so if you are reading this a big thank you again!
Ipsos itself - we came to this resort a few years ago and will not be back again, there is nothing to do for children at all, the resort now is geared up for the Italian students and Slovenians. All take aways and fast food joints and moped rentals, there was hardly any English there at all. If you have children take extra money and hire a car and also take toys as there is nothing to buy in resort, we went into Gouvia, Dassia, Kassiopi, Sidari, when we had the car for some entertainment at night as a 2 & 9 year old do not want to see drag queens and hypnotists! Admittedly though if you are a group or a couple there are plenty of bars and night clubs and would probably love it
Lastly I do have to say if it sounds like we did have a bad holiday we did not! but i wish we were in a different resort and had something like this information to go on but you always make the most of what you have got, so go to the Hairy lemon for your dinner with Costas, hire a car and learn Italian. Happy hols!

Pool was the coldest I have ever been in. Requested a check out room but was told by rep that this was not possible so had to arrange ourselves with local bar-owner a room for our late checkout. Resort was OK - if you like dodging the Italians on mopeds. English were outnumbered 2 to 1 by them. Definitely would not stay at Zeus Studios again.
When we complained to the rep, she told us to 'have a drink and cheer up' She was really unprofessional and sat around all day taking advantage of her free cans of dr pepper. When someone we knew asked her where their main office was on the island she got scared and asked him if he was some sort of spy. She also told us that reps were badly paid and if we had any leftover show gel or shampoo could we leave it at the pool bar for her.

A couple who were staying in the apartments left their luggage, passports, plane tickets and money in the luggage room. When they went back a few hours later it had all been stolen. They had no way to get home and no money. The rep didn’t seem bothered at all and told them to get a taxi to the police station, explain their story (which could have taken up to 2 hours) then get a taxi to the airport. If they did that they would have missed their flight. So somehow they managed to get home without passports or tickets.

If you have booked to stay in the Zeus studios, make sure you don’t leave anything in the luggage room. Hide it behind the sofa in the lounge thingy upstairs.
Places to go:
Dirty Nellies - excellent entertainment, great atmosphere.
The cockerel bar - its owned by an English couple and is a perfect place to stop for a few drinks on the way home.
El Greckos - fantastic food. best in Ipsos
The hairy lemon - good food (just don’t get the lasagne)
The takeaway near the cockerel bar does a gorgeous chicken kebab (they call it chicken souvalaki) You must try it!
Also, the first bar you come to when walking from the apartments towards the strip is nice, the owner is REALLY friendly.
Tzatziki is also gorgeous, the best food I tried while I was there. You get loads of it with your meal in El Greckos.
To eat I would recommend Floga, the food is amazing & the staff are really friendly.

The excursions varied in price but were all reasonable. We booked with local companies instead of the holidays reps as their prices were cheaper.

All in all I had a great holiday would recommend Ipsos in September if you want a quietish holiday. Wasn’t very busy in the bars etc although I can imagine it gets packed in peak season.

The best places to go on a night I'd to the old tree as the DJ there is lush and the AA bar as that has poles to dance on which is wicked. If you really like clubbing then you will have to get a taxi or a bus down to Kavos as it is a lot livelier and has better bars and clubs. The best place to eat is the hairy lemon as they have live sky (from U.K.) and the food is just fab!!!!!
On a day time you should take a trip to the water park or go in to Corfu’s town!!
The rooms where fine although they could have changed the beds a few more times. Over all 10 outa 10 ............. Hope to come back in 06 cya xx
