We have just returned from our 2 week long vacation in Benidorm. When we first opened the door to our hotel room, I wasn't too pleased, I've stayed in many 3* hotels before & they were all better. My first impressions were, the room looked very, very basic. We usually get given little shampoos etc, but this room had nothing but dispite the room being so basic, it was clean and has a lovely balcony with a beautiful view, that alone made it a really good choice of hotel & also it was seconds away from the beach! we stayed at the benikatus for 10 days and thought what a great hotel.the views from our 7th floor room was stunning all across the bay,we spent a hour every night drinking g+t taking in the views.the rooms are a nice size with a nice size bathroom,a bit basic but who cares when you have such a great view.the food was good,plenty of choice and always fresh salads and fruit.the waiters are very friendly and always helpfull. more

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and although the room was basic it was comfortable and clean. To our surprise the towels were changed and the beds made everyday. We were on a full board basis and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and choice at all meal times. The location of the hotel was excellent just a short stroll to the beach and shops. Just back from a wonderful week at the Benikaktus hotel. We booked half board through the medhotels site and used A2B transfers to shuttle us from Alicante airport to Benidorm. When we arrived in Alicante on the Sunday evening, we were the only two heading to benidorm, so we had a whole coach to ourselves. A great service. More than I bargained for

Well, I went having read all of these reviews hoping for the best. It was great! Its so close to the sea, literally down a short hill (granted steep) and your there. If, like me, you walk a bit further round the coast you can get quieter spots on the beach with less rocks in the sea. The food was what you would expect. Something different every night and of an above average standard. This is a hotel mainly for older couples, being 19 at the time, me and my bf stuck out a bit. Arrived 4 hours late to this hotel and despite it being 2.30 in the morning the welcome was warm and they even had a meal of cold cuts waiting for the four of us with drinks including water and fruit juices. Unfortunately the breakfasts are not to the British standards with all the ingredients much more suitable for the majority of clients who were from mainland Europe with the toast a particular let-down , it was almost what we would call crispbread. ive been to benidorm many times and this was the best hotel ive stayed at. the rooms were cleaned every day the maids were very helpful and the waiters were always helpful and smiling even though they worked so much you wondered when they actually slept. the night staff were probably the worst part. a bit stony faced but you didnt need to speak to them hardly anyway. besides show me any happy night shift worker. the food was great. my friend was diabetic and a vegetarian and they were happy to help her by putting on the foods she liked... more

Nice Hotel But.......

ME, MY HUBBY AND 7 YR OLD SON stayed in the benikaktus in mid feb 05 it was quite a clean room on arrival and realy warm through out the hotel as feb is not realy a warm time to go benidorm anyway. The beds were comfy the bathroom realy smart ,marble and plenty of hot water in the shower. The main reason i booked here was for the indoor heated pool for my son aged 7 ,we were so disapointed when the pool was freezing, no sign of heating at all ,it was so cold it made me ill when i went in it ,just the once i hasten to add! I stayed here for two weeks in July 2003 with my partner and 1 year old son and I would love to go back. On arrival we were dropped off at the beach to await a smaller coach, as the one we travelled from the airport in could not get up the street, and I thought we were going to end up miles away. have just came back from benidorm been there a few times but the benikaktus been best hotel staff brill food the same and room very good maids in every day with clean towels and to tidy up the view from our room was great could see the whole of the front at night it was beautyful will go back to the hotel again just wish it was nexy week.
