If you are thinking of booking this for your holidays here DON'T!!!
As far away from a 4* as you can get even by Italian standards. We arrived to much disappointment-sea view room with view to crane across the road as another story being added to building accross the road.
Hotel was grubby, the lift not working from the 1st to ground floor for most of our stay(11 disappointing days!!), breakfasts poor and the best of all was they advertise their pool area-they obviously don't want guests to stay around much as when we enquired as to availability of sun umbrellas by the pool they looked at us as if from Mars and said they did not have any-In SICILY for god sake , we weren't holidaying in the Northe Pole!!!I could go on -all I would say is save your money and find a decent 4* hotel as although very poor it wasn't cheap...................

We stayed with 44 people in the hotel. Breakfast is verry good and people at the reception are friendly. The food in the restaurant is verry, verry bad (I've never had this food, not even in a 1 star hotel), the waiters (except Rosie) are rude and unpolite (only beautifull woman can get supplements). Complains to the management are being laughed away ... think twice before you book this hotel !!!

Good points
Food was quite good restaurant staff friendly, the pool was good very clean and pool area very nice. The room was very clean and well kept.
Bad points
Firstly this hotel is not actually in Taormina you had to catch a cable car up to it not giving you time to eat dinner and make it to any concerts etc in the town. Very few rooms had any sort of view we were put in one which had a view of a brick wall did get a move but the new room was only slightly better. Cosmos rep was totally useless.
Would not go to this hotel again would make sure I got one in the town.

I'm so shocked with all bad reviews. We had great time on our holiday. And why so much complaining ? We rent scooter for 3 days of our holiday and enjoyed it so much....just because you don't think doesn't mean its the hotels fault where it is located. There are so many different types of beaches around you can explore on scooter. Lovely italian architecture...the hotel's private beach is great!!! Food the best ever! Clean hotel, stunning views from terrace.
The staff organised dinner on terrace with piano player , flowers and candles on pool ,candles everywhere, plus again their great food (tuna steaks, sword fish,....everything so tasty)on our first night of visit.
The transport up the hill is just a 2 minutes walk from hotel. (of course you have to pay you are not in fairytale but it would not ruin you)
It is definitely not the right hotel for people who don't think and for people in bad shape who are lazy to move their [xxx] Sorry for expression but it is really not for someone who likes cheap hotel complex with all entertainment included on their site. It is located on hill , Taormina centre on the top and beaches bellow.
However I know some people had room with bad view you can also solve this when booking your holiday. We had the very first room at first floor with oleanders by the balcony. Loved it!
It is holiday for people who like great food, italian style, don't mind to move on their holiday, prefer smaller hotels to big ones. By the way streets of Taormina are full of people dining under the sky,singing and enjoying themselves even in midnight. Getting there on scooter in hot night....fabulous!
PS: Scooter is for anyone.Even for faint-hearted ones as me. ;)
