Great Location, Breathtaking views but...

The hotel is on Verde Nastro leading out of Sorrento into the hills. If you think you can stroll into town (or crawl back) think again- it is a good 7 kilometres up a steep hill (with the usual maniac Italian drivers) Taking each matter in turn: 1. Rooms: the rooms are clean and ours had a small terrace and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was fine but some reason the cleaning staff disapproved of our use of the bath mat as a bath mat! 2006: one week in March. The building is on the rugged side of the hill at 360 meters above the sea down there. The entrance and the reception are on the platform roof at the road level, and you go down to the very well lighted apartments to enter from your terrace trough the large glassdoor of your balcony. Stayed at Le Terrazze April 2006. Gorgeous View, Nice room. Staff Courteous and Helpful. Good breakfast. Antonio went out his way to be helpful. Bus to Sorrento at front door. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay
Million Dollar Views with Room and Board for Cheap!

Aside from its amazing views and definitive Italian charm, this place reminded me of the cheaper hotels we used to stay in when I went to the beach as a youngster. Though it may not have all of the luxuries some people need, like marble bathrooms and cushy mattress covers, we were comfortable, and I would recommend it. We wouldn't recommend this hotel

We did not experience the nice rooms the other reviewers had. Our rooms (2) were dark and had an oder in them. The staff was friendly and helpful but we wouldn't stay there again.

People this place is great you must go there! The wiev it's breathtaking,the staff it's absolutely fantastic and the location of the place give you the option to have nice walks in the nature and in the same time you have everythink you need around you.

Had a fantastic time at this hotel. The view is stunning and well worth the bus ride up the hill. Apartments spotless and well equipped, nice balcony facing the sea. Staff were friendly and helpful, so much so that when we forgot our passports on the way home the owner went out of his way to personally deliver them to us! Great for a romantic holiday!

This hotel cancelled our reservation 'due to technical difficulties' the day before we arrived. They dumped us in a hotel in the town, overlooking the main road, family was split up into two rooms. The hotel may be great but watch out for customer service and cancelled bookings.

How we explained in our last e-mail dated 15.08.05 we had some technical problems with some rooms in our hotel. And so we provided to move you in another 4 stars hotel in Sorrento center at the same conditions and prices than ours. Your family was divided in two rooms because your reservation was for 2 rooms. This our reply is just to let you know that all was happened from the moment of your arrival in the other hotel was not our fault. We advised you about your change, but we dind't cancel your reservation. And so we think that this is a wrong review as we checked for you a better hotel and we paid the money difference. Myself, husband and son stayed at this hotel recently. After an interesting journey from Rome detouring along the Amalfi cost with the everso sensible Italian motorists, we finally arrived. After the long journey we were shown to a big comfortable clean room. Everyone else is right about the views, they are breath taking. Although it has no restaurant we could use the adjoining hotel. As we have some relatives in Napoli, we visited your beautiful town and spent a week in Sorrento staiyng at this nice hotel Residence Le Terrazze, situated in a quite area up on the Sorrento's hills.
