just returned from a long weekend at this hotel ,i have never been in a hotel with such rude staff especially on reception the only polite one was a lady either english or spoke good english the others where down right ignorant,the barman asks to be tipped[make me happy ill make you happy]once tipped they will give you extra drink,the room we had was clean and the food was very good apart from same thing every day,it was very noisey at early hours we didnt get much sleep but a lovely security gaurd told us to phone reception and he will sort it out,I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS HOTEL. THE MANAGMENT REALLY NEED TO SACK THE 2 RECEPTION STAFF THAT WAS ON MORNING DUTY ON 29/9/2011

I have been to this hotel 4 times. The food is good the rooms are average but clean. The staff are friendly. The problems comes from the holiday visitors who are mostly young single people who are noisy and arrive back at the hotel all hours of the night. I was the same at their age.

we have just come back froma 4 day break at the casino, ok its not the best hotel we have ever been in but at the end of the day your room is just to sleep in, your holiday is what you make it yourself!!! the food was not fantastic but i defy anyone to say that there wasnt anything at all on any meal time for them to eat. ok it was a noisy hotel and i do agree that people with children should be warned about this and advised not to go there but other than that we found it any enjoyable holiday. just a word of warning if you are going to stay here................ladies watch your bags at all time especially at meal time, there is no security on the dining room door and i found out to my cost that anyone can walk in off the street and steal things. 2 very dark skinned ladies came in one morning at breakfast and stole my handbag while i was actually sitting there!!! while we where in the police station 2 more couples came in and the exact same had happened to them but in different hotels, so seems like a gang of them are going round doing this..................other than this we had a great time xx

I just went to Gran casino Royal and it was one of my most horrible and bad holidays of my life. I went there with my boyfriend ane we are young. But the hotel was even then not suitable for young people who want to have a nice,relaxing holiday with some partying. The food was very bad,it was always the same like frites and spaghetti,and potatoes. Everything was swimming in the oil! All inclusive drinks are nasty,the cocktails were made of water and soda. The alcohol ran away out of the cocktails,it seemed.
The beds were horrible,they were so old and it stank! Our backs really did hurt the whole holiday and we could sleep because of the pain! There were only young people in the hotel who liked to smoke weed all night long in the hallway and ofcourse our own room was smelling like that also. They were breaking things and threw it in the hallway,just like their matrasses. Then they were so noisy till late in the morning that nobody could sleep! Staff couldn't do anything about it,they said. So our holiday in this hotel was horrible,noisy,and so bad. Me and my boyfriend were so tired,because we had no sleep and we were sooo happy to leave!! Think twice before you go,this is so bad. My god. I'm happy to be home.

THIS IS NOT A FAMILY HOLIDAY DO NOT GO IF U HAVE KIDS
We got sold this as a family holiday and its full of 18 to 30 year olds and they are mostly german we complaned on the first night to be told there was nothing they could do , the food was the same every day and night ok if u like chips chips and more chips . the drinks well u get one plastic glass each and are aloud 1 drink per person at any one time keep hold o ur glass or u will have to pay 20 euro for one more que for bar right out the doors . And the room well had 4 single beds in it pushed together not good when ur there wiv friends who have a 9 year old daughter and i have a 15year old son. However lloret de mar is a great place. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL TIMES

have just come back from this hotel it was a nightmare full of german students very noisy never had a nights sleep since we were there shouting and knocking doors from 3am-6am, rooms were basic and needed repairs our balcony door wouldnt close handle was broken took 2 days for them to come repair it.warning do not book this hotel if over 25 or a family with young kids

me and my boyfriend went to lloret for a nice relaxing week. istead we ended up with a week full of partying. lloret is very lively for party people. i would not advice taken children to this hotel.
the hotel itself was basic but for 3star and the price we paid, we wasn't expecting luxuary.
The colour scheme was a bit out of date and the variety in food was very basic. ( ravoli and pasta sauce every day)

This has to be the worst hotel ever.. just back from holiday here stayed here with 12 other girls/women was absolutely shocked at the things i saw. the hotel is very basic food is awful staff are ignorant and not very helpful at all.
our first night there i was assaulted by a man and his wife infront of the bar full of adults and children security did nothing and woukdnt let us pohone police..
then there was guys arrived to the apartments facing us and two of them had a disgusting additude banging on our doors shouting and screaming wed to open are doors to find them naked at our doors when we shut the door them punched it and kicked the door in were there was a disabled woman part of our party who was a nervous wreck the rest of our holiday. they then kicked the door in again later that night in the end we had to lock ourselves in the rooms with units against the doors as they threatened to kill us and we watched from the balcony as they bate fellas passing by for no reason so we had no sleep our last two days there.
a woman peed in the kids pool at daytime which is disgusting. germans on there balconys very drunk naked in the daytime urinating over the balconys while people are sitting below throwing ashtrays and tables from there balconys....
over all our holiday was ruined dont let yours be too avoid this hotel and especially do not bring kids here reception knew all this was happening and wouldnt call police as it would look bad on themins well i hope it gets shut down as its a hell hole!!!!
llorett de mar is nice and i met some nice people find a nice hotel next time

Just spent 7 days all inclusive at Gran Casino Royal Hotel with my wife , daughter and grandaughter , we had a great time ,the food was good and plentiful as were the drinks , grandaughter loved the allday free icecream , food available allday and drinks available from 10am no tea making facility's in room but machine with hot water , tea bags and milk ,coffee and chocolate on the bar to help yourself to .
The accomadation was basic but for what we paid it was to be expected ,the only problem was when the young people arrived , it got a bit noisey but that was not the fault of the hotel , any noise in the hotel was quickly dealt with .
On the whole a very enjoyable holiday , would go again.

First of all the 3 star rating of this hotel is undeserved - in the UK it would not only earn no stars but would probably be closed down on health and safety grounds - broken fittings, fire doors missing / propped open, leaking toilets, repeatedly reheated food (if you can call it food) - although the lettuce was fresh. The 'fish' was amazing - I think they'd collected the insoles of trainers used in a local marathon, cut them into fishy shapes and heated them up. Staff, particularly bar staff, were at best indifferent and at worst downright contemptuous towards guests. Even at the end of the season there were drunken louts running around keeping other guests awake all night. This wasn't a holiday, it was an ordeal - why did I actually pay money to be put through this?
