Stayed here on 16 Dec 05 for 5 nights when go back to New York will definitely stay here again.
Located on 31st street was ideal location just in front of Madison square garden and 2 mins away from Penn station.
Rooms were enormous, we had a 1 bed roomed suite with full kitchen, sofa big TV, wardrobe and lovely bathroom - don’t hesitate about staying here.
The bar in the hotel is not very expensive, which I thought it would be and the restaurant looked nice but didn’t try it.
We got a bargain with it as well I know now how expensive it is to stay but is well worth it.
Book Empire State building tickets before you go (will save you lots of time) on the (ESB) website.
But definitely buy some food from the supermarket on 8th avenue to eat in the morning as there is only McDonalds, kfc, pizza hut gets really sickly having it everyday, we bought some cereal and bread as we had a full kitchen it was great.
Hard rock cafe is nice but have to book well in advance to sit in the restaurant, we sat in the bar which over looks the restaurant but I liked it and prices were a lot cheaper, also got to have hot dogs from stands on every street they are delicious.
