My husband & I spent 5 nights here during September & were generally unimpresed by this Hotel. To call it 4 star is a Joke! The shower controls were hanging out of the wall - there was a hole in the wall behind the nightstand with wires hanging out & to top it all i was awoken one night with cockroaches crawling in the bed!
The staff can't be bothered & are patrionising & we were unable to order the breakfast we wanted (which was on the menu) as the chef didn;t want to switch the waffle machine on!
All in all a very poor resort which I would not recommend

This hotels is clearly a massive seminar destination.
That and families with lots of children. Not tranquil anywhere, never.
They charge an additional 25$ "resortfee" for newpaper,parking,internetaccess..
The parking lot was always full.
Linen and towels are threadbare.
Pillows are cheap hard dacron
Corridors not clean.
Our room had the view of an endless rooftop with huge machinery with the parking lot in the far background. There was a constant smell of hot food.
Not our Florida dream resort AT ALL !
We do not trust the **** rating ssystem anymore.

When you first arrive at this hotel after seeing all the other people’s hotels on the way, you are impressed by how grand it looks.
The hotel is well looked after and has a good selection of bars and restaurants to eat at, all of which offer high quality food and service.
There was never a problem finding a sunlounger by one of the many pools and I particularly liked the fact they have an adults only pool available where you can take a dip without kids annoying you. For kids though, there was loads to do, including their own pool and many clubs.
The Pizza Hut was a winner for me and I got hooked, also the in room movies were great as I was able to watch a movie with my 'new' husband that had not been released in the UK.
We were a little disappointed by the lack of nightlife options and the fact we were not welcomed very well as a honeymooning couple. The brochure had said it was a honeymoon hotel, but there was no evidence of this. I did complain, as I often do and was sent a huge plate of chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne, so no worries there!
Staff are friendly and look after you.
The 1 bed suite we got was nice. It did not have a proper balcony so I would ask for this if you can, as we didn’t realise not all suites had a balcony.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who stays in St Pete’s. Just be aware that there is this annoying frog on the hotel lake that kept us awake several times as it was calling really loudly for a mate. Hopefully he found one and your nights won’t be disturbed. Seriously though, if you are considering this hotel, it is worth it!
