We have stayed at this hotel 6 times. Each year we say no more. There must be other places to match up with it. We tried Amalfi Coast. Fabulous. But nowhere can match this wonderful hotel.
It is not the most exclusive place and the food is good but not memorable. The restaurant is gorgeous and the setting unbelievable. Most guests at some stage experience a table with the most fabulous view of the Bay of Naples that no camera can do justice to. The sunsets are incredible. We have a fabulous photograph in pride of place in our conservatory of one such sunset captured during one of our holidays.
Let me start with the rooms - although simply furnished they are very clean and comfortable with a mini bar stocked each day if needed - not too expensive either. A sea view is a must here and it is well worth the extra £5 - £6 pounds per person per night to secure this. The views are to die for. This is a shipping lane full of fisherman’s boats, pleasure crafts and cruise liners. The views are of the islands of Capri; Ischia, and Proschida.
The hotel public areas are very clean, quiet and charming. There is little to do at the hotel during the day or night but the sheer beauty of the views and peace and tranquillity make up for this. A free bus service takes twenty minutes to transport you to the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. A trip well worth the effort, lots of lovely walks and sleepy Italian villages all around. Be warned it is a very hilly area.
It is not a place for those wanting nightlife and late night drinking. It is ideal for honeymoons and those wishing to get away from it all in the most beautiful part of the world that is a 2 hr flight from England. Do not take your children they will be bored. Go alone for that second honeymoon. We love the place. The staff are fabulous. The pool guys cannot do enough for you, and you have never tasted tuna/tomato salad like it till you have eaten it at the pool bar on a gorgeous sunny day looking at the Isle of Capri.
I could go on forever about this place. Try it for yourselves you will love it providing you just want peace and tranquillity in one of the few undiscovered treasures of the world

We went to the Delfino on our Honeymoon for a week, and to our horror, we were put in a basement room, with no natural sunlight and a delightful view of a brick wall!
When I complained to the reception, they said they would put me in a seaview room for an additional fee of 30 Euro's per night..I agreed this due to it being our honeymoon, but we had to stay in the grotty room that night.
We went out for the day on our 2nd day, got back to the hotel, and they had moved all our things in to the new room....But the manager said it would be an additional 40 Euro's per night, and we would have to move room during the week to another room with a view.
With the moaning out of the way.... The hotel was a good one, once we had moved room. Breakfasts were sufficient to last you most of the day, a typical continentinental breakfast.
The reception were very helpful with helping us navigate the area, the big bonus with the Delfino, is that they have a little area they can collect you from, for excursions, The prices are a little expensive, and you can find a cheaper deal on getting to places such as Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvious, if you venture into Sorrento.
The hotel food was ok, but the restaurants in Sorrento are exceptional, so I would recommend going out for a meal, Especially to Fauno's Bar in Sorrento. Very affordable and the food of a high standard.
The pool was great, they had a little poolside bar, and they would allow you to go in the pool unsupervised after a certain time, for a little privacy.
The "Beach" listed on the hotel website is literally 3 large Rocks!
A Good stay once the problems were ironed out, and we are going back to Sorrento next summer, but to a different hotel.
